Perlier Imperial Honey Body Butter
Hey guys! Today’s blog post is on something I got from iFabbo recently. I was excited to have the opportunity to try it. I’m always a fan of body cream or butter type of products. Here’s my take on Perlier Imperial Honey Body Butter.

This luscious product comes in a flat round screw top plastic tub that’s common for body creams or butters to come packaged in. This is described online with the following: “Luxuriate in pure bliss. Perlier’s imported beauty treatment makes you feel like you’ve spent the day at the spa!”
The bottom of the tub container states the following: “This exclusive melting body butter from the rare Honey of Black Bees, combined with Royal Jelly, is a true youth-elixir. It nourishes the skin, leaving it pleasantly scented with the sensual notes of Honey and Oriental woods. Perfect to protect the skin from cold in winter and also ideal to help soothe the skin after sun exposure. Apply on the entire body, massaging in gently. NOT A FOOD PRODUCT. FOR ADULT USE ONLY.”

What I love about this product? It actually performed better than I expected! I usually try my best to be completely unbiased when starting to review a product. I figured this would work just like any other body cream or butter really and there’s not much more to it. The formula is not greasy at all, which was a surprise to me. When people say body butter, I expect a little bit of greasiness in the product. Body creams, on the other hand, will be a thicker version of a body lotion (which is commonly not greasy in my experience). This is like a body cream really, a thicker version of a body lotion. It goes on really smooth and nice onto the skin. It spreads evenly and I find that I get the most out of it when applying to damp skin. This really helps lock in the moisture and helps with the application of the product. As for scent…..well, let’s talk about it. The day I got this in the mail I was a little bit under the weather. I was excited to get this and I sniffed it enthusiastically. Big mistake! It made me nauseous. The scent is pretty strong and particular, so please think about this before purchasing this product. The honey scent is really heavy, although it dissipates over time when applied on my body. My man could still smell it though at the end of the day when he’s close to my skin (in this case, my neck). When any part of my body that has been applied with the body butter comes into contact with water even 10 hours later, the scent of honey fills the air really strong again. It took me about 2 days to get used to the scent after I decided to revisit it ever since my initial encounter. So take note of this before you take the plunge. If the scent was lighter, it would’ve been perfect to me.
What I don’t like about this product? Aside from the super strong scent….probably the price. This 6.7 fl oz / 200 ml runs for $40. There are a lot of cheaper alternatives out there, but the quality of this product is top-notch. Bonus if you’re a huge honey scented fan.
