I forgot that I got this box in a while ago but never got around to posting it. Here’s what I got in my Walmart Summer 2018 Beauty Box.
I’ve already used the Rembrandt 3 Day Teeth Whitening Boost Kit and the Dove Exfoliating Body Polish sample. I should have blog posts on these coming up soon.
Not bad for $5 at all still!
I got this box earlier but I didn’t get around to posting it. By now, I received another Walmart Beauty Box so I thought I’d post this one now. Here’s what I got in my Walmart Spring 2018 Beauty Box.
The most excited thing in this bunch is the peeling gel face mask. And I can’t wait to try the Aquaphor product. I hope it doesn’t come across as too greasy!
The contents of this bag is much better than many of the ones I got recently. I hope next month’s bag continues this trend!
Better late than never! I got this box about month ago but never got around to posting it until now. Holidays are always a busy time for me. I like how they mixed it up a little bit more with this box — I think it’s one of the more different ones from their past boxes. Still a great deal for $5 just to try these out. Here’s what I got in my Walmart Winter 2017 Beauty Box.
Overall, like I mentioned earlier I feel like they changed it up more with this box compared to the previous ones. This is mostly due to the sleeping mask and the flossers. I’m very glad they decided to switch up from the usual travel size shampoo and conditioner. I feel like they’ve done that A LOT. They have a lotion in just about every box too but at least they do change that up I think.
I’m most excited about the sleeping mask! Can’t wait to try it out.
I got this box in almost a month ago but never got around to posting it until now. This is one of the more “meh” boxes I’ve gotten from Walmart. It’s still not bad for $5 but they’ve done much better boxes than this one. The content just didn’t really wow me. Here’s what I got in my Walmart Summer 2017 Beauty Box.
Overall, it’s okay. I wish they’d change up the shampoo and conditioner combo unless it’s from some brand we’ve never heard of or rarely get samples of. Maybe more makeup items too even if it’s sample size?!
Stay tuned for reviews on most of these items!
So I actually almost forgot I have this beauty box subscription until an email asked if I wanted to switch it up for something special or stay with whatever setting I have already made in my account. I didn’t want to mess with it so I opted to just stay with my current setting. This popped in my mailbox about a week ago. Here’s what I got in my Walmart Spring 2017 Beauty Box.
Overall, pretty good stuff. In fact, as soon as I saw the lip product I knew that I had to give it to my sister from another mister Renuky. 🙂 It became part of her flip book goodies, which by the way is so much fun to make and hers is the first one I’ve given out so far. I made one for her birthday. 🙂 The shade seems light enough to suit her especially with it being a lip gloss. The first thing I’m trying out is the whitening toothpaste as we’ve been using regular whitening toothpaste and I’m not really seeing any difference so it’s time to change it up!
Stay tuned for reviews on most of these items!
This popped in my mailbox recently and for $5 (still!), I’m keeping the subscription. Here’s what I got in my Walmart Winter 2016 Beauty Box.
This box is more exciting than the others I’ve gotten in the past mostly because of the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream.
I’m looking forward to trying some of these out so watch out for reviews to come!
I got my Walmart Fall 2016 Beauty Box in about 2 weeks ago. I was fairly pleased with what I got for $5 (yet again!).
The boxes vary in terms of worth to me each time but what it boils down to is it’s just $5 and looking at everything I got, that’s not a bad price for it at all.
I see a few things already here that I can use immediately. This is a great way to try some stuff out before committing to a full-sized product!
I finally, FINALLY got my Walmart Spring 2016 Beauty Box a few days ago. I was wondering if I was even gonna get one since I’ve seen people get theirs a few weeks ago. I thought maybe there was something wrong with my billing or there was some glitch. But nope, here it is in all its full glory:
Everything came packed securely in the sturdy cardboard box.As usual, this box costs only $5. Can’t beat that really in my opinion. I’m pretty sure the contents of my box differed from those that I’ve seen who got them a week or 2 earlier. Maybe they ran out of some stuff but I like pretty much everything I got so I’m not complaining!
The item I’m most excited about to try is the Biore Baking Soda Pore Cleanser. I actually almost purchased it when I was at ULTA recently. Now I have a sample to try it out first to see if I like it. Hope y’all are having a great weekend so far and stay tuned for my take on some of the items from this box!
Happy New Year’s Eve! What are your plans for tonight? I’m just lying low at home with my husband like we always do for New Year’s Eve. We might get together with our neighbor friend W if he’s around. I’ll be cooking up some dumplings tonight while we just putter about and relax. I was curious to see what my friends are doing but they’re too busy to respond I think. I was guessing they’d go to the casino again just like last year. I remember they said they had fun there. Anyway, I got this in about 2 weeks ago but have been very busy so I didn’t get to it until now. Here’s what I got with my Walmart Winter 2015 Beauty Box.
Everything came in the usual sturdy cardboard box. All of this is for $5 still!
I’ve tried the body butter so far and I’m on the fence about it although it smells yummy! I’ll be blogging about items from this box soon.
I could’ve sworn I blogged about this but when it was time to write a review on one of the items I got in this I couldn’t find the post at all. Here’s what I got with my Walmart Fall 2015 Beauty Box.
Everything came in the same sturdy cardboard box. Still a pretty good deal for $5!
I’m still loving what I can get for $5 this time around. I hope the next one will be just as awesome!
I recently got this in the mail and was going to take product shots on Sunday but was very busy with household chores. It was sunny and my husband actually got us a new game from Steam so he chipped in and took the product shots for me as I finished up the household chores. Bless his heart! He didn’t use the zoom function that I always do and actually even took product shots of the lotion foil packet sample as well as the fragrance vial sample. I would’ve skipped both of those but I can’t really complain with free help right? Here’s what I got with my Walmart Summer 2015 Beauty Box.
Everything came in the same sturdy cardboard box. There is one more item in this box than I’m used to, making this a pretty good deal for $5.
This is much better than the last box, Walmart Spring 2015 Beauty Box. The extra item contributed greatly to that and the samples are more applicable to me than the previous boxes. The coupons are nice too in this box.
This box came recently and it didn’t wow me or anything. I actually forgot about it until I got charged the $5 in my credit card statement. I actually thought about canceling it though, but I figured I’ll do that if the next box isn’t that great. Here’s what I got with my Walmart Spring 2015 Beauty Box.
Everything came in the same sturdy cardboard box as with the Fall and Winter one. None of the items really speak out to me, but it’s still not bad for $5 really.
Overall, I’ll wait for one more box (yet again) to decide if I’ll continue on with this subscription or not.
This box came wayyy later than I expected. But I didn’t mind really since I have all the holiday stuff and sales going about. I actually almost forgot about it until I saw a charge in my credit card statement. Here’s what I got with my Walmart Winter 2014 Beauty Box.
Everything came in the same sturdy cardboard box as with the Fall one. None of the items really speak out to me, but it’s not bad for $5 really.
I feel that the Walmart Fall 2014 Beauty Box was definitely better in terms of value for the $5 I paid. I’ve already reviewed the Jergens BB Body Perfecting Skin Cream here since I got this one from the Target Spring 2014 Beauty Box earlier.
Overall, I’m not feeling this box really. I’ll wait for one more box to determine if I’ll continue on with this or canceling my subscription.
I was very excited when I first heard about Walmart having a beauty box just like Target, but I did not sign up to get one due to their internet security issue. The URL of the site to get the beauty box was “http” and not “https” when it first went live and that raised a huge red flag to me. After talking to several people who knows a lot about internet security, I decided that it wasn’t worth the risk to sign up for it. A month or so went by and I happen to just randomly check it again and the URL now shows “https”. I signed up that day and here’s what I got with mine:
Everything came in a sturdy cardboard box. Everyone else I know that got the beauty box either has the exact same one as mine or another version. Mine is I think for the older age group or something like that. I like my version to begin with anyway because there’s more stuff I can use from this.
It’s definitely worth the $5 price tag to me. Items I am most excited about are the ones from Dove. They are currently in use right now as I figure out which ones are worth repurchasing the full size version. The L’Oréal Glossy Balm is reserved for my niece that loves lip products and the nail polish is a bright yellow that’s right up my alley. The deodorant itself pays for the beauty box prize. The other small samples are nice to have, but they’re not that applicable to me currently.
Overall, not bad and I can’t wait to see what they have to offer in their next beauty box.
My first assignment as a BzzAgent was to review, rate and share about Hillshire Farm American Craft Sausages. This particular line of sausages seems to be relatively new to me since my eyes are always open for these in savory and spicy flavors such as Jalapeno & Cheddar (can you guess what’s my favorite flavor this early in the blog post?). I was sent a lovely kit in where I can pick up 2 free packs of the product in whatever flavors of my choosing and have a good amount of $1 off coupons to share with family and friends. The sausages come in a pack of 5 and in 3 different flavors: Smoky Bourbon, Jalapeno & Cheddar and Garlic & Onion. I’ve served these sausages up twice already (not including having them as leftovers) and they did get people talking.
The first time around was about a month ago. I had several friends from work over and fired up the grill to get some Smoky Bourbon and Garlic & Onion sausages around. We got hotdog buns as well as grilled onions, tomatoes, zucchini, baby corn, and fresh jalapeno slices to go with the main feature. I asked our friends to share their thoughts on these 2 very different flavors of sausages to us. The verdict? The texture is very good — meaty and juicy right off the grill. We were all impressed by it. The sausage held together and didn’t crumble as some of us have experienced this from trying our various brands over the years (some even had casing as well!). We all agreed that the Smoky Bourbon sausages has a stronger flavor than the Garlic & Onion ones. I only detected a very faint taste of garlic and onion, but then again I am a garlic lover and consume them in huge quantities. One of my friends did state that he tastes the actual garlic and onion flavor. The clear winner between the 2 flavors I tried that day is Smoky Bourbon.
When I got the chance to pick more up from Walmart a few days after I first tried these, I didn’t hesitate to grab the Jalapeno & Cheese ones (I also got the Smoky Bourbon again). I used the $1 coupons on these and along with the rollback price, it came out to $1.98 per pack. What a deal! I gave the other coupons away to family and friends as well as leaving the last few in Walmart right where the sausages are. Share the love is one of the things I live by. We couldn’t think of what to cook last night and I suggested whipping out the sausages we got a week or 2 ago. My husband fired up the grill and lined all 10 up nicely. I requested to leave the Jalapeno & Cheddar ones on the grill a few minutes longer. I personally like a little bit of char on mine. The smell is so savory and enticing. My mouth was watering in anticipation. I served these along with some penne pasta in homemade sauce that I made. The sausages were as juicy as I remembered. And the flavor? Smoky Bourbon is just as good as it was when I last had it, but the Jalapeno & Cheddar is definitely the winner. The jalapeno flavor isn’t very strong, so it just gives every bite a good amount of flavorful spice. I wouldn’t mind if they made the flavor of that in this stronger. The cheese flavor is a little bit stronger than the jalapeno, so those that worry about this being very spicy can rest easy and give it a try. I know my friends who aren’t fans of spicy food will be able to tolerate this heat level (which is nonexistent to me). Seeing the cheese ooze out when you leave it long enough on the grill is a welcome sight in my book. One thing I’ve learned from consuming these right off the grill twice now is to proceed with caution if the sausage hasn’t split open. I bit into it too excitedly the first time and hot sausage juice squirted all over and into my mouth. I didn’t think they would be this juicy! It’s also fun to think of how I can use these sausages up in the future such as in chili, gumbo or casseroles!
Would I buy these again? The fat content sealed its own fate for me to consider this as a treat once in a while only. But it’s a definite yes for Jalapeno & Cheddar and I’ll grab the Smoky Bourbon for others that would like to play it safe on the spice level.
This retails for I’m guessing a little over $3 usually for a pack of 5 and is available at Walmart. For more information on the brand and its offerings, click here.

If you still have some stockings to fill for a nail polish lover and haven’t even hit Walmart yet, you might want to now! These are only $1 each and most of them fared very well with me. Here are the limited edition shades from Hard Candy for Holiday 2011.
These have no names to them so we’ll just go by color. First up is the orange. This one has a foil finish and dries matte. I used a top coat in the last shot to show how it shines with it. Formula for this one is on the thin side, but dries very fast. It’s sheer when you apply thinner coats. I used 3 for this one.
Next up is the blue. This one has the same finish as the orange. Formula was thicker than the orange and applied better. This one’s more opaque than the orange. I used 2 coats for this.
Here we have the pink. Same story as the previous 2 shades, has a foil finish and dries matte. Formula is more similar to the orange one. It looks more glass fleck though with the top coat. It might be the angle or lighting. It’s a little bit on the sheer side. I went back to using 3 coats for this one to even it out.
Next we have the green. This one has a different finish than the previous 3. This is made up of green and gold glitter in a green jelly base. It dries to a glossy finish. The smell of this one is quite different from the other 3. It’s much stronger and reminds me of the formula from the good ‘ol days. Formula is great and this applied beautifully. It’s pretty sheer, so I stopped at 2 coats when swatching to show that.
We go back to the matte finish with the purple. The only difference with this shade compared to the other 3 matte shades is that the base of this is shimmer rather than foil. It has tiny pink glittery particles mixed in. Formula was okay. I used 2 coats for this.
Now we have my favorite among all 8, black. I didn’t expect much from this shade, but it surprised me a lot! It’s a gorgeous black shade with silver glitter. This one dried glossy. Formula was great and it smelled just like the green one. Shown is 2 coats.
Next up is gold. Like the green one, this is meant more for a glitter top coat. This shade is basically gold glitter in a slightly yellow (tinted yellow maybe?) base. It looks so squishy and jelly-ish. Formula was very good and the smell again is similar to the green and black. I sense a trend here with the glossy finish shades in terms of smell. Hmmmmm……that may just be me though. I used 2 coats for this one.
Last shade is silver. I can’t quite remember if this one smelled like the green, black and gold. The finish is not glossy really, leaning toward the matte side. This shade is a silver foil shade that’s sheer. Another one meant to be used for layering over other shades. Formula was easy to work with and dries fast. Shown is 2 coats. For some reason, I didn’t even bother using a top coat with this one even when it didn’t dry glossy.
What I love about this product? Even though it comes at a smaller size of 4 ml / 0.14 fl oz, you can’t go wrong for $1. Regular sized bottles comes to $5, so this is actually a good price for them! There is a good variety to choose from (8 shades) and is pretty accessible for most (available at Walmart). Some of these finish are more glass fleck than foil, but it doesn’t matter in the big picture. How pretty they are makes it a WIN situation for me.
What I don’t like about this product? Formula is not consistent, but for the price and the lovely shades…..it doesn’t even faze me.
This item retails for $1 each and are available exclusively at Walmart. For the price, it’s worth it compared to similar items from other brands for more than double the price of these. I’ll be hunting down backups for the black, gold and silver definitely.
