Marc Anthony True Professional Deep Repair Aloe Vera & Jasmine Oil Deep Repairing Conditioning Treatment
Hey guys! It’s the second day of June! What are you looking forward to today? Mine is the start of a nice weekend of course! But I’m also counting down the days until USPS puts up the Andrew Wyeth stamps up for pre-order on their website. I love using different stamps every time when writing to my pen pals. But anyway, today’s post is on a product I got from my ipsy March 2017 Glam Bag. Here’s my thoughts on the Marc Anthony True Professional Deep Repair Aloe Vera & Jasmine Oil Deep Repairing Conditioning Treatment.
What I love about this product? It’s easy to use and comes in the standard tube packaging that some hair products come in. Packaging is quite attractive with the choice of colors. Scent is quite pleasant although not close to being real jasmine in my opinion. The product itself has a very light tint of blue to my eyes (but it could be my bathroom lighting). It works good as a hair conditioner but that’s it really. When I say that I mean that it felt like it performed as well as a regular hair conditioner. It’s readily available online and in several retail locations worldwide. Pricing isn’t bad at all especially if you catch these on sale from either online or retail locations that carry it.
What I don’t like about this product? The main thing would be that I expected it to perform like other deep conditioners I’ve used. This is basically like any other regular hair conditioner to me. It did feel great with the slip that it gives my hair when in the shower but so does a lot of regular hair conditioners. I expected my hair to be extra soft afterwards and it wasn’t there really. It didn’t make a difference whether I let my hair air dry or blow dried it with a hair dryer. Now while this didn’t work for me doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t work for you. I’ve read other reviews online that gave this product stellar ratings. It just didn’t work for me.
More information on this item and other products the brand carries is available on their website here.
Hey y’all! I just got this in the mail 2 days ago and am about to start using some of what I got. Here’s my take on the ipsy March 2017 Glam Bag.
The bag looks quite cute — like a beehive pattern! And it’s bigger than past ipsy bags, which I like a lot. But the material is prone to snagging for me so we’ll see if I’m going to actually use it or not. First item that caught my eye is the theBalm Bahama Mama Bronzer. I LOVE the cute packaging they always have! This is a keeper for me. Next up is the So Susan Blush & Glow. I will look up for reviews and swatches on this before I open it. The shade I got this in is called Rose Rust. Then we have Marc Anthony True Professional Deep Repair Aloe Vera & Jasmine Oil Deep Repairing Conditioning Treatment. I generally haven’t found anything from this brand that I dislike so I’ll be trying this out shortly and post my review on it. Next we have the JeNu High Tech Beauty Marine Collagen Mineral Gel. This is the type of product I’m looking for these days. I already started using it today. I put it on before I apply moisturizer. Last up is The Skone Cosmetics Luxe Pro Blending Brush. I retook the quiz again on ipsy as I thought I’ve said before that I didn’t want more makeup brushes yet I keep getting them still. This one goes into my extra random gifting pile.
Overall, much better than last month!
Hey guys! I’ve recently tried this product out and wow — I couldn’t wait to blog about it. I got this from my ipsy March 2016 Glam Bag. Here’s my take on the Marc Anthony Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco 3 Day Smooth Perfect Blow Dry Cream.
What I love about this product? First, a little goes a long way. Definitely follow the instructions (apply evenly it says) as I got heavy-handed at first but it didn’t really matter at all! I was very impressed. I thought “Oh no, this is definitely gonna show that I applied too much product on my hair” but nope. It doesn’t look greasy or heavy at all, giving away my mistake that there’s a little more product than needed. My hair looks sleek, straight and shiny. No tangles too! I never really had to use hair smoothing products as my hair is for the most part naturally straight. I do have hair that have kinks all over and I hate that. This one got rid of it all. I just applied a good amount on my hair (remember, evenly!), combed it through and blow dried it. I don’t typically blow dry my hair either but I think it helps with what the product wants to achieve (and it does!). The cream is white in color and it smells great with a hint of vanilla at least according to my nose. My husband commented that it smells like what he expects a body lotion to smell like. According to the instructions “reapply and blow dry on the second and third days” for maximum smoothness. So far, I haven’t had the need to do that at all.
What I don’t like about this product? Actually, nothing really. I typically wash my hair either everyday or every other day during the work week but I can go up to 2 days over the weekend. This might actually be a nice product that can change how often I wash my hair on the weekdays. The price point is very reasonable in my opinion and the scent isn’t overpowering once it’s on the hair. Now please note that my hair is pretty much straight to begin with and I find the added smoothness very pleasing. I can’t guarantee that you will get the same results as everyone’s hair is different but it doesn’t break the bank so I think it’s definitely worth a try.
Hey guys! It’s another beautiful day today here in Oklahoma! This arrived in my mailbox a few days ago but I was so caught up with my latest Etsy order (which I’ll blog about soon!) that I didn’t get around to taking pictures until today. Here’s what I got in my ipsy March 2016 Glam Bag.
I knew that the bags this month was going to come in 3 different color schemes. I was hoping for the blue one but I ended up loving the mint green one that I got. It is so, so cute! I am in love with it more than I thought I would be! And for those that remember what happened to my bag from last month — ipsy saved the day and sent me a new one that did NOT have the damage. YAY to ipsy! Anyway, first item that caught my eye is the NUDESTIX Lip + Cheek Pencil. The shade I got this in is called Mystic. I have heard a lot about this brand fairly recently and am glad to have the chance to try it out! Next up is the Marc Anthony Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco 3 Day Smooth Perfect Blow Dry Cream. I loved what I got from this brand a few months ago, which I reviewed here, that I can’t wait to try this out! Then we have the OFRA Cosmetics Eyeliner Pencil. The shade I got is called Green Go. I might gift this one as I have too many of this type of item out already that I barely even use. The unassuming packaging of NoTS 28 Remedy Balancing Toner made it almost go unnoticed for me. I’ve actually been a fan of Korean brand skincare for a while now that this is probably the most exciting item out of everything I got in my bag this month. It just didn’t catch my eye due to the very simple, plain packaging. Last up is the NYX Cosmetics Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick. The shade I got this in is called Kitten Heels. It’s a very pretty matte red that applies on oh so softly! I am VERY impressed with this one so far.
Overall, a great bag! I can’t wait to get next month’s bag now!
Hey guys! It’s almost the weekend! Again, I’m SO looking forward to it. It’s been a crazy time the last few weeks that I just need a day to do nothing at all and get bored of that. Today’s post is on something I got from my ipsy December 2015 Glam Bag. Here’s my take on the Marc Anthony Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Deep Conditioning Treatment.
What I love about this product? I like the scent of coconut in general so I find this pleasant. The scent isn’t too strong and only a hint of it is left on my hair after use. The product comes in a tube type of packaging with a flip top cap like some shampoos and conditioners from other brands. The texture is rich, gloopy and white in color. It’s what I expect from a conditioner. It’s definitely more conditioning than a regular hair conditioner but it falls a little bit short compared to other deep conditioners I’ve used. The difference is very minimal even though it’s there. I love how it helps my hair stay untangled for hours especially my hair by the nape of my neck area. Those tend to tangle more.
What I don’t like about this product? Nothing really. I find the price point of this product to be quite fair but being the bargain shopper than I am I’d probably just pick this up if there’s a coupon or if it goes on sale.
Listed on the back of the tube indicates this product is carried by ULTA and Walgreens. Products from this brand is carried in other retailers too as seen in a list here.
Hey guys! I really didn’t care for last month’s bag that much so I didn’t even bother blogging about it. I got this month’s bag a few days ago and it’s more exciting, so I went ahead and snapped some pictures to share my thoughts with you here. Here’s what I got in my ipsy December 2015 Glam Bag.
First — the bag….I’m not in love with it but I’m digging it still. The red patent quilted pattern is quite cute and I actually like that it provides more waterproof protection than a regular fabric bag. First item that caught my eye is the Pacifica Power Of Love Natural Lipstick. The shade I got is called Tender Heart. It’s a little bit mave-ish to me on first look so I thought I’ll try it out. Next up is Tarte Smooth Operator™ Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder. I don’t use finishing powders really and actually already own this. With that said, I’ll either stash this away for an extra in a gift or just keep a backup if I really end up liking it. Then we have the Marc Anthony Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Deep Conditioning Treatment. I’m very eager to try this out as I’m always on the lookout for hair conditioning products. It comes with the territory of long hair I think. Next is the Skinn Sugar Lips Polishing Scrub – For Dry & Lined Lips. I want to see how this fares against similar items I’ve used in the past. Last item is Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eye Shadow Primer. I’m adding this to my pile of primers that I use to test in search of a Holy Grail primer.
Overall, not bad. I’m actually keeping all of these items it seems. It’s been a long time I got an ipsy bag with that kind of record!
Hey guys! Sorry I missed posting yesterday. I meant to but life got in the way. I had a relatively relaxing weekend and am already looking forward to this coming weekend. Here’s my take on Marc Anthony Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco Oil Treatment.
What I love about this product? I got this tube container from my ipsy August 2015 Glam Bag. I used this actively ever since and it does the job more or less. The scent is slightly soapy in a way. The suggested directions of use is the following: “Apply 1-3 drops (depending on hair length and thickness) to damp or dry hair and distribute evenly from roots to ends. Do not rinse out. Style as usual.” I always apply it to damp hair and I originally tried 3-4 drops since I have long hair. I found that it wasn’t enough so I upped the amount and it worked better. I don’t get any tangles with this with that amount.
What I don’t like about this product? It didn’t really do anything for my hair. In the past, I’ve always seen a noticeable difference with hair oils and creams but not with this one. I wouldn’t buy this after what I have is all used up.
This item should be available in select salons and retailers that’s listed in the WHERE TO BUY section on their website.
Hey guys! I just got this in today and went on to snap pics so I can use the bag immediately. Here’s what I got in my ipsy August 2015 Glam Bag.
Can we talk about the bag? I think it’s so cute! It’s the first bag in months that I’ve actually really liked! The print is simple but so pretty. First item that caught my eye is the Marc Anthony Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco Oil Treatment. I have heard a lot of good things with this brand and I just recently got a trim so I’m looking into keeping my hair as healthy as possible. This seems to be the answer to that. I’ll be donating my hair probably the end of the year next year. Next up is Jesse’s Girl Eye Shadow Primer. I don’t wear makeup much especially more so with eye shadow but I do have a few makeup primers on hand that I’m putting through the test. I just want to find one good one and who knows — this may fit the bill. Then we have Lord & Berry Ultimate Lipcolor and Liner. The shade everyone got for this would’ve been Nude. This is small enough to toss in the smallest clutches I have so I may just keep this one. Next is BelláPierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick. The shade I got is P.I.N.K. According to the description online on ipsy, it’s supposed to be very pigmented and lasts all day. Last item is the LATHER ultra mild face wash. Being that this is for sensitive skin, I may just pass it on to someone else that can use this product more. I typically like my facial washes with more scrubbiness and those typically don’t apply to those for sensitive skin.
Overall, the bag makes up for everything that could possibly be short in my eyes.
Hey guys! I just got my goodies from ipsy for this month and I’m so excited to share with you guys all about it. The first wow factor for me is that the bag is designed by Rebecca Minkoff! The Hawaiian print design is pretty cute and I’m definitely keeping this one. Here’s everything that I got from my ipsy June 2014 Glam Bag.
I liked almost every single thing I got with this month’s Glam Bag. I’m just not sure if I’m keeping all of them though since a few items I already have a lot of from various other brands. Mascara is one of them right now. I recently opened a new tube for review from Influenster, so I’m hesitant to open another one just cause I don’t want to have more than 3 tubes open a time. I don’t want them to dry out faster and such (and I already have about 7 open right now). I guess I’ll just start wearing mascara everyday now to use some up, so Be A Bombshells Lash Out Mascara will just have to wait. The DERMAdoctor DD Cream is the interesting item from this set of products. I’ve heard it all by now — BB cream, CC cream….now DD cream? I haven’t really jumped in the bandwagon for any of the BB and CC cream simply because I’m more of a moisturizer only type of gal. But we’ll see. I have 2 tubes of CC cream on hand already that I may as well just try it out and see what the hoopla is about with my own eyes (and even compare them against this DD cream). The NYX Butter Gloss is a nice surprise only because I don’t own any but wouldn’t mind trying them out. I just never got around to seeing them in the store to pick them up and it wasn’t appealing enough for me to buy them online. The shade I got is Eclair and it smells as good as it sounds based on initial use. I think it’ll be a good product overall. I have to test it more and blog about it later. Next up is Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray. I’ll try this out but definitely note that I’m not one who likes beachy waves as much. When it comes to hair, straight and curls are what appeals to me. Waves are okay, so I imagine that I wouldn’t get much excitement out of this one later on but I will still give it a fair review. Last up is Nicka K New York Shimmer Eyeliner in green. I love eye liners just like any beauty addict but I may save it up to pass it along to one of my husband’s nieces. Just like mascara, I just have too many eye liners currently that I have to use up.
Overall, great bag! My fears last month of this bag being a disappointment was actually for naught. I can’t wait for next month’s bag yet again!
