ipsy March 2018 Glam Bag

The last day of March! Spring is here to stay and tomorrow is both Easter Sunday and April Fool’s Day. The temperature here will take a slight dip and everyone’s over it already. They are ready for warm weather to stay. But most will eat their words in a few months, as they do every year, as summer can get very hot here in Tornado Alley. Anyway, here’s what I got in my ipsy March 2018 Glam Bag.

I didn’t care much for the bag really. I can see that they want to foster creativity with this month’s bag, but I didn’t care for it really. The first item that caught my eye is the Benefit Cosmetics BADGal Bang Mascara. Everything about the packaging is eye-catching to me. The shade it comes in is called Pitch Black. Next is the BRTC Jasmine Waterful Foaming Cleanser. I’ve never heard of this brand before but I looked it up really quick and I think it’s a Korean beauty brand. I’m going to give this a whirl soon! Then we have the Tarte Sex Kitten Eyeliner. I love the brand Tarte and I am in need of a small eye liner like this that I can easily stash in a wristlet, clutch or even a wallet. Next we have the AHAVA Purifying Mud Mask. I use face masks a few times a month or more and am excited to try this out. Last up is a Finding Ferdinand Lipstick. The shade I got this in is Rose Gold. I’ve never heard of this brand before but the shade is right up my alley to try.

The contents of this bag is much better than many of the ones I got recently. I hope next month’s bag continues this trend!

ipsy February 2018 Glam Bag

February was such a busy month for me. I co-hosted a baby shower a few weeks ago and February was the month where we did everything that is needed for it. Venue search was a little frantic in the beginning but it all worked out. Invitations were sent out with 3 weeks to RSVP and I was busy DIY-ing stuff for it in all of my free time last month. All in all, everything went smoothly on the day of and I now have more time for the blog. 🙂 Since I missed blogging last month, here’s what I got in my ipsy February 2018 Glam Bag.

The bag is okay. I can see the romantic aspect of it but I thought it would scream more Valentine’s to me than this. But moving on, first item that caught my eye is the BLAQ Meteor Shower. I’m currently saving it for a day or night out or something — it’s sitting in my shower. I read a few reviews on it and like what I’m hearing so far. Next item that caught my eye is the Sand&Sky Brilliant Skin Purifying Pink Clay Mask. The bright-colored tube caught my eye and I noticed a trend here….BLAQ is an Australian brand and so is Sand&Sky! Then we have the MARSK Mineral Eyeshadow. The shade I got this in is called Foiled Again. I don’t use this kind of beauty product much so it will be a good stocking stuffer for someone. Next we have the Luxie Beauty Blending and Shading Eye Brush. I think I retook the quiz after I got this in my bag again. One of the things I don’t need more of is makeup brushes. Last up is Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold – Healthy Glow Rose-Gold Blush. The packaging of this product is simply elegant and stunning! I’m in love with the packaging for sure.

With the weather warming up, I can see myself using up half of these items I got in this month’s bag.

ipsy January 2018 Glam Bag

I know it’s been a while…but hey! I’m back even if it’s just for a few posts here and there. When I started this blog, it has always been something that I put my energy towards to on my free time as I like nail polish and beauty products. Free time has been harder to come by since the year started. Don’t get me wrong, I do have free time but I choose to spend it doing other things than blogging. If I had more free time then I would’ve eventually put in more posts than I currently do, but this will have to do for now. Thanks for sticking with me still! Anyway, in playing catch up with some posts here, here’s what I got in my ipsy January 2018 Glam Bag.

I like the bag more than I thought I would. In fact, it’s my favorite one for this year so far (since I’ve gotten my February and March one as well). First item that caught my eye is the Befine Exfoliating Cleanser. I’ve actually used this item before I believe. I’m currently using it in my facial cleanser rotation. Next item that caught my eye is the Vasanti Kajal Waterline Eyeliner Pencil. The shade I got this in is called Intense Black. I’ve heard that this product is awesome so I’m definitely keeping it to try it out. Then we have theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer. I’ve been collecting these theBalm minis cause I thought they were so cute! Next we have the Bellápierre Cosmetics StayPut Brow Gel in Licorice. I thought this was a liquid eyeliner or something like that. Not sure if I will keep it as I don’t really do anything with my brows. Last up is the NYX Faux Blacks Eyeliner. I’m actually excited to try this out. The packaging makes me think of unicorns!

Not bad at all and a colorful start to the New Year I say!

ipsy December 2017 Glam Bag

5 more days ’til Christmas! I’ve been off since last week and have finished all holiday related shopping so I’m just spending my time catching up on my recorded shows on the Investigation Discovery channel and have just started watching some Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel. I was out-of-town for 2 nights at a cabin in Clayton Lake State Park (OK) and it was a beautiful stay. The cabin is right by the lake so it was convenient to go fishing there at night. The cabin we stayed at was far from the other cabins so we didn’t really see anyone else there really. Our dog loved every minute of it. He even took a few dips in the cold lake! Now I’m already starting to research which state park we should go to next! I returned to a few things piling up in the mailbox and this is one of them. Here’s what I got in my ipsy December 2017 Glam Bag.

I would’ve liked the bag more if it was more symmetrical. I don’t know if you can tell but the “height” of the bag on one side is different from the other side. I don’t know if it’s intentional but oh well…it’s still usable. First item that caught my eye is the Smashbox Cosmetics Be Legendary Lipstick. The shade everyone got is called Legendary. It’s a bold red shade that I simply love. Next item that caught my eye is the First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser. I’ve actually tried out this product before and have reviewed it here. Then we have the Rodial Glamolash Mascara XXL. The only Rodial product I’ve had the pleasure of trying out left me impressed so I’m looking forward to trying this out. I did not know they have a makeup line! Next we have the NIP+FAB Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum. I love facial serums so I’m eager to try this one out ASAP! It’s starting to get cold and dry again this weekend where I’m at so this is simply perfect timing to have received this in my glam bag. Last up is NYX Faux Blacks Eyeliner. The shade I got this in is Onyx.

So I was expecting a little bit more wow with the bag itself for Christmas but it’s better than last year’s bag in my opinion — so it’s all good! I think I’ll get to keep most of the items in my glam bag to try for myself, which is pretty rare really so I’m looking forward to it!

ipsy November 2017 Glam Bag

Halloween came by and went as well as Thanksgiving. I’ve been quite busy the past few weeks that posting on here just hasn’t been on top of my list. But the holiday season is now here and the pile of things for me to review are stacking up. Since I got most of my Christmas shopping done already, I can focus on other stuff (like this blog) more. Here’s what I got in my ipsy November 2017 Glam Bag.

I’m not sure if I like or dislike the bag. What I know is it made me think of one of my closest friends immediately so I might just give this to her. First item that caught my eye is the Kensie Perfume. The size I got is the purse sprayer mini deluxe. Since I’m not a fan of trying new scents (most gives me a headache), I will be passing this on to another close friend of mine that simply lovvvves perfumes. Next item that caught my eye is the Glamour Dolls x Lisa Frank Bitten & Bronzed Matte Bronzer. The packaging is just so eye-catching, as what I have come to expected with anything Lisa Frank. Since I’m not adding more bronzers to what I already have for the moment, I will be passing this on as a stocking stuffer extra for one of my nieces. Then we have the em Infinite Lip Cloud. I liked their mascara a lot so I’m sure the quality of this product is pretty good. The shade I got this in is called Rose Nude. Next we have the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush. The shade I got this in is called Feisty. This is a nice shade but I’m not sure if I’m going to keep it or give it away. I do like their stuff a lot. Last up is Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara.

Overall, it’s okay but this is making me look forward to what December has to offer more. Since it’s for Christmas, I’m hoping it will have something that wows me. 🙂
