Walmart Winter 2015 Beauty Box

Happy New Year’s Eve! What are your plans for tonight? I’m just lying low at home with my husband like we always do for New Year’s Eve. We might get together with our neighbor friend W if he’s around. I’ll be cooking up some dumplings tonight while we just putter about and relax. I was curious to see what my friends are doing but they’re too busy to respond I think. I was guessing they’d go to the casino again just like last year. I remember they said they had fun there. Anyway, I got this in about 2 weeks ago but have been very busy so I didn’t get to it until now. Here’s what I got with my Walmart Winter 2015 Beauty Box.

Walmart Winter 2015 Beauty Box

Everything came in the usual sturdy cardboard box. All of this is for $5 still!

Nspa Coconut Body Butter

Goody SlideProof Secure & Gentle Elastics

Pantene Extra Strong Hold Hairspray

Dial 7 Day Omega Moisture Lotion

Pure Silk Raspberry Mist Moisturizing Shave Cream with Aloe

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Boosters Facial Cleanser

I’ve tried the body butter so far and I’m on the fence about it although it smells yummy! I’ll be blogging about items from this box soon.

Target Honor Roll 2015 Beauty Box

While I I loved most of the items from the Target Head Of The Class 2015 Beauty Box, I couldn’t resist getting this one as well. Here’s the Target Honor Roll 2015 Beauty Box.

Target Honor Roll 2015 Beauty Box

Everything came in a black reusable sturdy cardboard box. For $5, again, you really can’t go wrong. I almost didn’t get it (just like the Head Of The Class beauty box released at the same time) and I’m glad that I did.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume 7 Day Volume In-Shower Treatment

CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Primer

NYX Butter Gloss

The Bathery Delicate Bath Sponge

Olay Fresh Outlast® Cooling White Strawberry & Mint Body Wash

Goody Ouchless Elastics

Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes

I gave the elastics from the other box away so I’m keeping this one of myself. The item I am most excited to try is the John Frieda Luxurious Volume 7 Day Volume In-Shower Treatment. The first item I opened and used is the NYX Butter Gloss. The shade I got is Strawberry Parfait. I’ve been using a bath mitt for a while now so a bath pouf (they call it sponge but I call those things poufs) would be nice for a change. I actually think I’ll be using every single thing in this box. All in all, I like this beauty box better and as usual it does come with a $3 off $15 coupon on beauty items to use at Target.

Target Head Of The Class 2015 Beauty Box

While I still have most of the items from the Target Summer 2015 Beauty Box untouched still, I couldn’t resist when they rolled out 2 more beauty boxes recently. Here’s the Target Head Of The Class 2015 Beauty Box.

Hollywood Fashion Tape®

Goody Ouchless Elastics

The Bathery 2-in-1 Pumice Stone

Wet ‘n’ Wild Max Volume Plus Mascara

Herbal Essences Illuminating Dry Oil Spray

Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Hypoallergenic Facial Towelettes

CoverGirl Colorlicious Lip Gloss

I gave the elastics and the towelettes to my co-worker sis Renu as part of a small thank you gift for all the driving she’s done the past month. She uses both items so it’ll be put to good use. I am most excited to try the dry oil spray. I’ve tried one from another brand and loved it. Moderation is key though when using those. I’m passing on the mascara and the lip gloss to my nieces probably. I have too many of those open already. All in all, not bad at all and it does come with a $3 off $15 coupon on beauty items to use at Target.

I have their other box to feature later on (I got them a day apart). They’re really stepping up their beauty box game I must say!

Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin

No action shot with this product unfortunately, but I can tell you 100% that this is one of the best things since sliced bread! What a treat to find this in my Influenster Beauty Bloggers VoxBox 2012! Here’s my take on the Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin.

Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin

The Influenster insert boasts about this product: “Never have the time for a great updo? Not anymore! The Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin allows you to easily achieve three chic updo styles. Simply twirl your hair up and spin the two Spin Pins in for a perfect undone bun, side bun or double bun!”

Verdict? Simply wow. I didn’t think much about this product initially, but being that it is the easiest to test first I gave it a go on day one. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. Instructions are very clear and comes with diagrams, which makes it super easy to follow. It’s basically twist hair in a bun and twist the Spin Pins in with a screwing motion with the two-pronged end down into the hair, one from the top and one from the bottom going up forming an “X” through the bun. Be careful not to twist the second Spin Pin through the first one. Removal is super easy. Just twist it out! 🙂 It held my hair really well both when it was long down my back and shorter just a little past the shoulders (I had it cut recently).

As long as you follow the instructions carefully, it works like a charm. Each set comes with 2 Spin Pins that is reasonably priced at $7.29 and is available at various major drugstores and mass retailers like Walmart, CVS, Target and Walgreens. You can check the list of locations they are carried at here.
