Ralph Lauren Polo Red Extreme

Hey guys! Today’s post is on something I got from my latest Influenster Vox Box. Here’s Ralph Lauren Polo Red Extreme.

Ralph Lauren Polo Red Extreme

The Influenster insert boasts about this product: “Introducing Polo Red Extreme, a powerful blend of vibrant blood orange, addictive black coffee essence and supercharged black ebony wood, for the fearless man who lives life to the extreme.”

What I love about this product? This fragrance is pleasant without being overpowering. It is manly, charming and sexy. A little goes a long way. My husband tried it with just 2 dabs on his neck to try it out. Both of us get headaches from strong scents so that aspect is probably one of the most important things to us in a fragrance. With a light hand in application, you just notice it subtly. I find it to be a warm and alluring scent — a winner in my book! My husband said that this brought back memories of high school. It can be nostalgic and I can see that as high school is when my peers started using fragrances of all kinds like CK One or Eternity or Cool Waters. This one would fall right in the list nicely.

What I don’t like about this product? Honestly, nothing really. I’m actually going to pick up the full-sized bottle for my husband once this runs out.

More information on this item and other products the brand carries is available on their website here. Products from this brand is carried at other retailers too as seen listed here.

*Products featured here are received complimentary to test through Influenster’s VoxBox program.* #PoloRedExtreme #RalphLaurenFragrances #LiveLifeToTheExtreme

Walmart Summer 2016 Beauty Box

I got my Walmart Summer 2016 Beauty Box in about 2 weeks ago. I was fairly pleased with what I got for $5.

Walmart Summer 2016 Beauty Box

I’ve seen a few boxes where the polish strips are of a different print but everything else is the same. I’m eager to try out the toothpaste in this set. I must say I’m a little bit tired of seeing the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs again. It keeps popping up in various beauty boxes.

St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs

Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Lotion

Incoco Coconut Nail Art Polish Strips

ARM & HAMMER Truly Radiant Clean & Fresh Toothpaste

Schwarzkopf essence ULTÎME Diamond Color & Radiance Shampoo & Conditioner

Lady Gaga Fame Perfume Sample

Not bad overall. Still a great deal for the price in my opinion.

Walmart Summer 2015 Beauty Box

I recently got this in the mail and was going to take product shots on Sunday but was very busy with household chores. It was sunny and my husband actually got us a new game from Steam so he chipped in and took the product shots for me as I finished up the household chores. Bless his heart! He didn’t use the zoom function that I always do and actually even took product shots of the lotion foil packet sample as well as the fragrance vial sample. I would’ve skipped both of those but I can’t really complain with free help right? Here’s what I got with my Walmart Summer 2015 Beauty Box.

Walmart Summer 2015 Beauty Box

Everything came in the same sturdy cardboard box. There is one more item in this box than I’m used to, making this a pretty good deal for $5.

St. Ives Blackhead Clearing Green Tea Scrub

Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy Shampoo

Neutrogena CoolDry Sport Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 70

NIVEA Soft Moisturizing Creme

NYC Liquid Lipshine Lip Gloss

Dove go fresh Revitalize Body Wash

Jergens Natural Glow

One Direction You & I Perfume

This is much better than the last box, Walmart Spring 2015 Beauty Box. The extra item contributed greatly to that and the samples are more applicable to me than the previous boxes. The coupons are nice too in this box.

Victoria’s Secret Eau So Sexy Fragrance Mist

Recently, I revisited this fragrance mist that’s been sitting on my bathroom counter for a while now. I checked online and see that it’s still available, which is good as I have a lot of their fragrances that have long been discontinued. Here’s my take on Victoria’s Secret Eau So Sexy Fragrance Mist.

Victoria's Secret Eau So Sexy Fragrance Mist

This is described on the website as follows: “Sparkling and forever young, a lighter rendition of our oh so new blend of lush fruits, vibrant florals and weightless warmth to make everyday glamour oh so fresh and eau so easy.”

Verdict? This product comes in a pink plastic bottle with a mist spray pump typically found in most fragrance bottles. The cap has a black dots on pink print that is very cute. I love that this comes in a plastic bottle since I’ve mentioned before that sometimes I end up dropping my fragrance spray bottles. Glass does have a more elegant feel, but this will survive a hard fall while glass probably won’t. I find this scent to be light and elegant — not sweet like a lot of their other scents. The notes in this scent are bergamot, paradise apple & Chantilly cream. It’s a beautiful blend really. Lasting power for this is similar to what I get from their other scents — around 7 hours. I got this with a $10 secret reward last year and it’s worth it. The bottle size for this travel body mist is 75 ml / 2.5 fl oz.

This retails for $15, although I got it for $10, and is available at all Victoria’s Secret Beauty stores nationwide as well as on their website online. For a full list of their fragrances, click here.

ipsy November 2014 Glam Bag

Hey guys! It’s getting colder every single day. For my sanity, the tree is up and half of the presents are all wrapped and stuck under the tree. Yes, a reindeer died cause of that but guess what? I won’t have time to put up the tree after Thanksgiving. I just wanted it out of the way. I’m waiting for more stuff to come in to wrap them up when I stumbled upon another problem — I ran out of wrapping paper. Oh! How did this ever happen?! I have hundreds of ribbons and bows but no wrapping paper. I’m guessing I didn’t see it as a high priority item when I shopped from the after Christmas sales last year and I should’ve. Lesson learned. So with that happening, I had time in my hands to take a few pictures of what I got in my ipsy November 2014 Glam Bag.

The first item that caught my eye is the Elizabeth Mott you’re so FINE Eyeliner. The shade I got is Glitterati. The packaging caught my eye and while I’m eager to try this out, I have many products already in this category so I’ll toss this as an add-on to a Christmas gift for one of my nieces. Next item up is the TEMPTU S/B Highlighter. The packaging makes me think of baby milk bottles — it’s so cute! The shade I got is Pink Pearl. I have used highlighters before just to see how it works and I’ll be sure to try this one out. Then we have L.A. Colors Chunky Lip Pencil. The shade I got is Wine. I saw this and immediately thought of my niece that loves lip products, so I’ll be saving this one up for her. The consistency is said to be between a lipstick and a lip gloss, which reminds me of the Jordana Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stain. I wasn’t too happy when I saw that I got the Demeter Pixie Dust Roll On Perfume Oil. While I loved some of their scents, they usually give me a headache shortly after application. I’ll save this one up for an extra in a gift or something. The last item in my bag is my favorite out of everything I got this month. I got the Nicole by OPI Nail Polish in Guys & Galaxies, which is an ipsy exclusive shade. I love this shade! It’s glitter and very pretty. The bag this month is a cute silver glitter zip top made by clothing and accessories brand Forever21 for ipsy. Material is like a plastic coated type where liquids roll of easily — a bonus feature to me.

While this bag has been the most disappointing one in months I’m still a huge fan of ipsy. I mean, I did like some of the products I got and it’s just a matter of what I can use more sometimes. This month’s offering just doesn’t apply to me as much, but with such great bags for months now….I can’t really get mad at ipsy for missing the mark in terms of personalization with this one. I can’t wait now for next month’s bag!
