Hey guys! Today’s post is on a sample I got from my Walmart Summer 2018 Beauty Box. Here’s my quick review on the Dove Exfoliating Body Polish.
What I love about this product? While this sample lasted me only for one shower, I feel like I have enough to share with you my thoughts on this product. I was expecting a nutty scent kinda like a coconut maybe, but it’s not quite like that. It’s most subtle, like some lightly scented baked cookie with nuts that has a hint of vanilla. It’s not strong at all to me. My husband said it reminds him of a detergent scent — not like full-on Tide but one of those various Gain scents or something. It’s pleasant. The texture of it is on the creamy side to me and I can actually just use my hands to grab a good amount and rub it over my body in a circular motion. I don’t feel like the product melts away too fast in the shower but I definitely applied it to damp skin as opposed to under running water. It’s not very exfoliating to me but it actually does the job still. It mildly exfoliates is what I would say. It left my skin feeling luxuriously soft and smooth.
What I don’t like about this product? Nothing at all! Once I’m done going through my stock of body washes and scrubs, I’m off to purchase this! It can be purchased in many retailers for a reasonable price.
More information on other products the brand carries is available on their website here.
I know this is late but I had taken the pictures already so we’ll go ahead with it anyway. Here’s what I got in my ipsy April 2018 Glam Bag.
I LOVE this bag! It’s quite beautiful really. I saved it to give it to my MIL. It makes me think of mothers for some reason (I think it might be the rose gold and the butterflies?). The first item that caught my eye is the H2O+ BEAUTY Oasis Hydrating Treatment. I’m very much into skincare right now so this is right up my alley. Next is the Purlisse Coconut Oil + Coffee Sugar Body Scrub. I love body scrubs so this went straight into my shower. Then we have the Smashbox Cosmetics Always On Liquid Lipstick. I’m still debating if I want to keep this or not. The shade is called Miss Conduct and I’m not sure if it suits me or not (plus, I have a ton of lip products already). Next we have the Manna Kadar Eye Candy Priming Shadow Stick. The shade I got is called S’more. Last up is a Steve Laurant Blush. TI’ve never heard of this brand before but it seems like it would be a really nice blush. The shade I got this in is called Rosé All Day. The other shade some others got is called I’m Blushing.
Overall, I’m very pleased with what I got — especially the bag! I hope next month’s bag continues this trend!
February was such a busy month for me. I co-hosted a baby shower a few weeks ago and February was the month where we did everything that is needed for it. Venue search was a little frantic in the beginning but it all worked out. Invitations were sent out with 3 weeks to RSVP and I was busy DIY-ing stuff for it in all of my free time last month. All in all, everything went smoothly on the day of and I now have more time for the blog. 🙂 Since I missed blogging last month, here’s what I got in my ipsy February 2018 Glam Bag.
The bag is okay. I can see the romantic aspect of it but I thought it would scream more Valentine’s to me than this. But moving on, first item that caught my eye is the BLAQ Meteor Shower. I’m currently saving it for a day or night out or something — it’s sitting in my shower. I read a few reviews on it and like what I’m hearing so far. Next item that caught my eye is the Sand&Sky Brilliant Skin Purifying Pink Clay Mask. The bright-colored tube caught my eye and I noticed a trend here….BLAQ is an Australian brand and so is Sand&Sky! Then we have the MARSK Mineral Eyeshadow. The shade I got this in is called Foiled Again. I don’t use this kind of beauty product much so it will be a good stocking stuffer for someone. Next we have the Luxie Beauty Blending and Shading Eye Brush. I think I retook the quiz after I got this in my bag again. One of the things I don’t need more of is makeup brushes. Last up is Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold – Healthy Glow Rose-Gold Blush. The packaging of this product is simply elegant and stunning! I’m in love with the packaging for sure.
With the weather warming up, I can see myself using up half of these items I got in this month’s bag.
Short work week? Alright! I’m doing a happy dance inside. While we just had a long weekend, it felt short to me still. Hopefully this weekend I’ll get a chance to really relax and sleep in some. I started using this a few weeks ago as I’m trying out several items from Freeman that I got a few months ago. I finally finished this one up yesterday. Here’s my take on the Freeman Feeling Beautiful Apricot Creamy Scrub.
What I love about this product? Again, I enjoy the tube packaging a lot. It’s easy to dispense the product and control how much of it I want to use. I find the formula for this to be really nice. I love body scrubs and this one did not disappoint. It wasn’t watery at all so it had good “body” I would say. The scrubby bits aren’t too abrasive for me. I believe it’s finely ground up walnut shell powder in a creamy base. I just apply a good amount into my hands then rub it onto my damp skin in circular massaging motions. The scent is refreshing and fruity. I find that using my shower mitt also helps me with using less product than I would without it just like the Freeman Feeling Beautiful Guava Salt Body Scrub. Between the two, if I were to just use my bare hands I would definitely prefer the Apricot Creamy Scrub. I feel like this functions better on its own as a scrub than the Guava one. I just rinse off after I’m done and my skin is so soft from the exfoliating treatment!
What I don’t like about this product? Other than I think this is being discontinued, nothing really. It’s very affordable and you can grab this now on their site on clearance. I’m actually going to grab more if I manage to get a full cart together on their site.
Hey guys! It’s almost the long weekend. I’m looking forward to it as I might get a chance to see a few of my favorite people! And my husband is flying home tomorrow! YAY! I miss him when he’s not around even though we’re together almost all of the time. Anyway, I’ve been trying something new to me out for a few weeks now. Here’s my take on the Freeman Feeling Beautiful Guava Salt Body Scrub.
What I love about this product? It comes in a nice tube packaging so I can squeeze out how much I want to use very easily. I noticed immediately that the salt in this is not the finer grain like table salt but more of the chunky sea salt type. I was afraid that it’d be too rough on my body so I tried it on my feet first. That confirmed the chunkier size of the salt particles and it worked really well on my feet. Aside from the salt, the formula looks almost like marmalade. Visually, the color of it is not completely clear or translucent — kinda like the color and opacity of petroleum jelly but clearer and glossy. It is not greasy at all and it actually feels warm when it comes into contact with my skin. I very carefully tried it in the shower on my body and found that it wasn’t as scratchy as I thought it would be. Now please note that just because I found it okay to use on my body doesn’t mean that you won’t find it too abrasive and maybe even painful. I used it with my hands at first and found this to be very wasteful than if I used a shower mitt to apply it onto my body. It produces zero lather but it does leave my skin squeaky clean. I found that the salt dissolves pretty fast when it comes into contact with water so I would apply it onto wet skin on an area not directly being hit by water at the moment. It doesn’t leave my skin dry at all. And let us please talk about the scent. The scent is sweet and fruity. It’s not an authentic guava scent by any means but it’s not super artificial or too sweet like candy.
What I don’t like about this product? Other than I think this is being discontinued, nothing really. It’s very affordable and you can grab this now on their site on clearance.
Well, well, well. The heat has become slightly (HAHA! says everyone else but I like being warm and warmer weather) oppressive now since it’s the middle of summer. I decided to give something I got this from my ipsy June 2016 Glam Bag a try. Here’s my take on the frank body Original Coffee Scrub.
What I love about this product? I love the scent. Unless you hate coffee scent, this smells so good to me. I’m not a coffee drinker but I LOVE the scent of coffee and this makes the whole experience lovely. Using this the best way possible is to get your body wet then turn off the shower and then rubbing a little bit of the product onto your body. I decided to go wild and wanted it to feel luxurious so I used the entire bag in 2 showers. I like the scrubbiness although if you have sensitive skin this is probably not for you. My body feels clean and refreshed with the lingering scent of coffee that fades eventually. Ingredient list is as natural and you can get for a coffee scrub.
What I don’t like about this product? Honestly, I do find the leftover residue a little more oily than I’d like. You can definitely skip the lotion when using this.
More information on this item is available on their website here. Products from this brand is carried by selected online retailers such as Amazon.com.
Hey guys! I got my ipsy bag a few days ago but didn’t get around to posting about it until today. I’ve been very busy with work and with snail mailing these days that I had to put some things off. Here’s what I got in my ipsy June 2016 Glam Bag.
This month’s makeup bag is actually in a print that I don’t really care for but I’m drawn to it a lot. And when I say a lot, I mean A LOT. Like….I actually LOVE this print. Go figure. It’s bright, bold and cute that I surprisingly fell in love with it. The first item that caught my eye is the ColourPop Cosmetics Crème Gel Liner. The shade I got this in is called Swerve. It looks to be a black shade. I’m toying with the idea of keeping it but we’ll see. I don’t use makeup that much to begin with and I use it even less now than compared to a year ago. Next item that caught my eye is the Elizabeth Mott Show Me Your Cheeks Blush. While I like these sample size makeup items, I already own too many blushes for my own good so I’m looking to passing this onto someone else that will put it to good use. The nice tube packaging item turned out to be Hey Honey 24Seven: Day & Night Moisturizing Cream. I’m excited about this one as I’m constantly trying to find something better than what I’m currently using for a facial cream/moisturizer. Next up is the Urban Decay Eyeshadow. The shade I got is called Lounge. Lounge is one of the prettiest duochrome eye shadow shades I’ve ever owned. I think this one’s a keeper even when I don’t wear eyeshadow at all. I’ll use it randomly when I feel like it. Last up is the frank body Original Coffee Scrub. I find this product interesting and can’t wait to try it out. I just have concerns with clogging up the shower plumbing. I’ll definitely blog about this one later on.
I love this month’s bag that I can’t wait to see the design for next month! They’ve been churning out good ones lately.
Hey guys! Today’s post is on something I’ve finished up a while back. Here’s my take on the Philosophy Pink Almond Candy Body Polishing Scrub.
At 60 g / 2 oz, this size comes in a set I got on sale year after the previous Holiday season. I don’t think this was ever released at the regular size. The front of the tube has a suggested recipe for the name of the product.
The website described the set this item comes in as the following:
“A trio of must-haves for hair and body infused with a delicious pink almond candy scent. Add a little sugar to your holiday with Sweets For The Stocking Set, featuring a multitasking formula to cleanse and condition skin and hair, a body polish to exfoliate and polish dry skin, and a luxurious body souffle, all enriched with a delectable, mouthwatering pink almond candy scent.”
Verdict? It’s a very nice scrub. While I’m not a huge fan of the scent, it’s not overpowering and pleasant still. It’s everything I expect to be in a body scrub with no leftover residue or greasiness from it. It even lathers a little! I wouldn’t mind getting more of this product but in a different scent to make the price point worthwhile. And get it on sale while at that too. While Philosophy is a GREAT brand, I have a hard time justifying purchasing this type of item at regular price. Being that this is a smaller sized tube, it only lasted me a few showers.
This fragrance comes out often during the Holidays only I think. You can get information on more products from this brand on their website.
Hey guys! It’s almost the weekend again! I’ve been using some stuff I’ve had stashed for a while. Here’s my take on the C.O. Bigelow Fruit Extract Body Scrub.
What I love about this product? I got this a long time ago from a Bath & Body Works sale. I love body scrubs especially sugar based ones. This is not a sugar one but it’s still great. It’s slightly less scrubby than a sugar one, which is great for those with sensitive skin. I’m not quite sure what the scrubbiness is in this as the ingredient label is gone but I certainly am looking forward to getting some of the current scents they have online like the Lemon Sugar one. The scent of this one is lightly of fruit in general. I can’t wait to check out the variety at my local Bath & Body Works store next time I stop by. My skin is left smooth and oh so soft after just one use. My skin is fully exfoliated without it being left dry. It’s not oily at all and produces some bubbles but not a lot. It’s the perfect balance really for a sugar scrub.
What I don’t like about this product? Consistency is a little weird to me as it’s on the gloopy side. It makes me think of some thick batter during baking or oatmeal. But as long as it does the job then it’s a keeper. Do note that I don’t think this exact product is still in production but they offer other similar items still.
Similar items are available on their website and you can purchase some of them at your local Bath & Body Works stores.
Today’s post is on another product that has bit the dust in my bathroom. This Curtain Call segment is on Victoria’s Secret Victoria’s Secret PINK Sugar Scrub.
At 250 ml / 8.4 fl oz, this is sold under their PINK brand. The scent for this is Cucumber & Water Lily. I got this because I had some coupons to burn and there was a sale on these scrubs. It comes in a tube packaging with a flip top lid. The back of the tube shows the following:
GET FRESH SUGAR SCRUB
Two things that should always be fresh and smooth: your dance moves and your skin. For the latter, we’ve got our Cucumber and Water Lily body scrub. It uses natural sugar crystals to slough away rough, dry patches. It’s also infused with ingredients like soothing Cucumber and Water Lily, plus it’s got a crisp, cool scent. Rub on all over and rinse off to reveal smooth, fresh skin from tip to toes.
Free of Parabens, Sulfites, Petrolatum, Mineral Oil and Paraffin.
Made with Peace, Love and Happiness.
Verdict? The sugar scrub is on the thick side, which is a very nice change for most sugar scrubs I’ve encountered. Most I’ve tried are quite liquidy and on the thin side that I don’t get to scrub as much as I would like because there’s not much sugar content to massage with. The scent is very nice and on the fresh and crisp side — not fruity at all to me and maybe slightly floral. The sugar crystals provide the nice scrubby power I enjoy in the shower. Because of the consistency, I actually screw the lid off instead of using the flip top as the product doesn’t go through the flip top hole easy. I personally think it’s too small for the glob-like formula so I find myself struggling to get more product out even when I squeezed really hard. Take note that I do find this sugar scrub to be more effective as a scrub, so it might be a little bit too scrubby for those that have sensitive skin. I don’t think they offer this particular product anymore but you can check what other sugar scrubs they offer here on their website.
I have started doing things that involve more pampering recently. With all the lotions and creams or face masks and sugar scrubs that I own…..I really should put them to good use. I looked around when showering last weekend and noticed a hidden gem that I’ve neglected for a while: Two Good Scents Sugar Scrub.
The front of the box packaging it came in states the following:
“A Creamy Sugar Body Scrub
Enjoy your shower with Two Good Scents!”
I got this as a prize from a giveaway last year from Glitter.Gloss.Garbage. I was given a choice of the scent and I chose Lemon Cookie. It just sounded so good and made me think of the Girl Scouts cookie favorite of mine called Lemonades. The product packaging is simple but attractive. I find it very cute and a little but whimsical with the sheep. It’s very easy to use and it blew me away. A lot of sugar scrubs leave a very oily residue on the skin, but this one doesn’t! I feel like I’m treating myself to something luxurious when I use this. It scrubs really well and washes off clean. The light scent lingers on my skin while leaving it moisturized. Now, some of you might like a slightly more greasier feel after washing off but this works just perfectly for me. I only have to use a very light lotion afterwards if I feel like I need to moisturize still. A word of caution: DO NOT EAT! I was so tempted to eat it because it just smells that good!
This retails for $10 for 8 oz and is available online on their website.
Okay guys….here’s the deal with this item I’m reviewing today. It’s not for everybody — that’s for sure. I liked and disliked it at the same time. Intrigued yet? Here’s my take on LUSH Sugar Scrub.
Described as “STIMULATING GINGER AND FENNEL SUGAR SCRUB”, this product comes in 3.5 oz and retails for $6.25. More breathtaking description found on their website:
“Our solid Sugar Scrub is tough on cellulite and unwanted bumps, but kind on your skin. It’s no nonsense attitude doesn’t waste any time getting down to business; sweetly exfoliating with Fair Trade sugar and stimulating circulation with fennel and ginger. It’s not all rough stuff though; calming lavender has a balancing effect and encourages healthier skin. Get yourself wet in the bath or shower (but don’t let the bar get under the running water). Scrub, scrub, scrub and rinse away! You’ll be left with smoother, cleaner and radiant skin. Water you waiting for? Get scrubbing!”
Directions indicated on their website are as follows: “Get your body nice and wet in the bath or shower. Scrub with the whole thing or break off a piece. Smooth your scrub all over, rubbing harder on the rough parts leaving you with bright, smooth and glowing skin. Rinse off. Oh, and don’t forget to admire your freshly buffed bod.”
What I love about this product? I love, LOVE, L-O-V-E the scent! It smells fresh and light. But since scent is very subjective for everyone, please see for yourself in stores to know if this is something you’d use or not. It’s packed full of sugar and lovely oils that leaves my skin so clean and moisturized. I don’t have the need to apply body lotion at all after my shower. It surprisingly lasted me for 3 showers when I thought it would last for 2 at the most. My skin feels luxuriously smooth and clean after use. The scent lingers too for hours after my shower.
What I don’t like about this product? Some people will think that it’s the price point for me, but nope….it’s actually that this is a little bit too scrubby for me. It’s great on my feet and other rough spots of my body, but I can’t use it directly on the other parts of my body by directly rubbing the whole chunk against it. I had to break it off into a smaller piece so I have more control and less abrasive mass to work with on my skin. This is the way that I find best to use this product. I bet this also would’ve lasted me up to 7 showers if I used that method to begin with! Try this method if you find rubbing the whole chunk on your arm or somewhere else on your body too abrasive. There’s always a way to work with it!
This item is available exclusively at LUSH stores worldwide and online.

Hey guys! The weekend is fast approaching again. I didn’t get to blog about one of my Throwback Thursday contributions on Instagram a few weeks back, but better late than never! As seen on my IG account here, I present to you Jacqua Orange Vanilla Sugar Scrub.
Anyone else remembers this? This is the first warming sugar scrub I can ever remember using. I loved the scent and how squeaky clean I feel after using this. This is what started my obsession with the brand Jacqua. They were carried in Bath & Body Works stores and I would go there after my classes in college and ogle at them. They were priced reasonable for the current me, but college me was quite frugal and didn’t spend on anything that’s not a necessity. I was given a gift of it and loved it ever since. I was so sad when this was discontinued! I actually wrote to Jacqua and they replied! They sent me 2 of these and included a note with it apologizing that it’s going away. I knew then and there that I’m a customer of theirs for life. Their other scent that was popular that I liked is Buttercream Frosting. I remember receiving a 3 piece set that’s housed in a pink cardboard box that looked like a miniature boutique. I didn’t hear about them in a while until earlier this year. I had to dig my precious tub of sugar scrub out (yes, I hoarded it instead cause I knew it was the last of what I would have!) and reminisce. To those that do remember, which was your favorite scent? 🙂
Happy Thursday! Today’s been super busy for me. I had a very early start for the day cause of work and I gave the dog a bath once I got home. He’s all fresh and clean now! If you guys follow me on Instagram here, you’d have seen my Throwback Thursday contribution earlier. I took that shot right after the dog’s bath.
I started seeing these in Bath & Body Works stores in 2005, but I didn’t bite the bullet on making a purchase until it was too late. I cleared this very product off of their shelves when their semi-annual sale came around and they’re no longer carrying anything from this brand. I’ve always liked products from this line, but this scent is my favorite. Mmmm…..sweet mangoes. I’m pretty sure their most popular scent is Lemon Soufflé (if I remember right). I snagged the last 2 in the store. What I should’ve done is gone to a few more stores and clear their inventory of this, but no…only about a year later I opened one of the ones I got and started having this intense urge to get more. I had to resort to going on eBay to get 2 more. I paid around the same as I would’ve the time I got them, so it’s all good. I don’t have the price tag on them anymore but these retail for either $20 or $24 each. Pricey, huh?! Maybe that’s why they went out of business….who knows? Either way, it’s sad news for me and that’s all I have for this week’s Throwback Thursday.
Hey y’all! Today’s Curtain Call is on a product I got a long time ago when I saw it at a Big Lots. This is back when I was still located in the tri-state area (PA, NJ & DE). Here’s got2b Spa Body Sugar Kick.
At 450 ml / 16 oz, I got it for $2.99 before tax. Not bad for that price really. This should be available at various retail and drugstores if the got2b Spa line is still in production. It comes in a screw top round plastic tub. The front text reads “smooth * radiate * polish” and “sweet sugar body scrub”. The back of the container reads the following:
“This sweet sugar body scrub makes anybody a little sweeter. Natural brown sugar plus juicy extracts of mango, apricot and guava gently exfoliate away dull, dry skin cells so a sweeter you can come out and play. So, indulge in this all-over body treat. Guaranteed not to promote cavities.
DIRECTIONS: Scoop out and apply a lavish amount of sugar kick to wet skin. Massage all over body in circular motions to exfoliate away rough, dead skin cells. Use a loofah or cleansing mitt for extra cleansing power. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.”
Verdict? Another definitely must-have product whether it’s from this brand or another. I love, LOVE, L-O-V-E body scrubs, especially the sugar based ones. This scrub is nice and thick with no greasiness at all. It even produces a decent amount of suds. A little goes a long way and the scent is just so yummy and juicy! I can definitely smell the mango goodness in it. You can’t tell from this picture, but the product is orange in color. I find that shade quite pleasing to the eye in the shower actually. It’s easy to use and the whole tub will last you a while. I find this product much milder than most other body scrubs out there.
I haven’t seen this line of got2b anywhere recently, but I know for sure that I have purchased items from this line at Walmart in their beauty and personal care product aisle.
Hey guys! I’m sure y’all are familiar with the brand ONE by now. I’ve gotten the opportunity to try out their products and most have scored high marks in my book. I find them comparable to brands like LUSH maybe. I do find this brand more accessible and better, so I’ll be sticking with this brand a lot more in general from now on. Today’s post is about ONE Natural Sugar Scrub.
The 8 fl oz / 236 ml sugar scrub comes in an aluminum tin container. As everyone knows by now, all ONE products boasts to have 100% recyclable packaging; from their cardboard boxes to the aluminum containers and packets. The sugar scrub I received is in the fragrance Sun Drenched Lemon. The front text reads “rejuvenates for yummy looking skin”. Also spotted is the now familiar “One moment to enjoy * One life to live * One planet to preserve” logo forming a circular frame around the brand name on the center of the front cardboard packaging.
Taken directly from the back of the product packaging:
DIRECTIONS: Use a couple of times a week to polish and exfoliate your body. Apply a small amount onto a pouf or washcloth and gently rub against your skin. ONE Sugar Scrub will take your body to another level…Smooth as butter? You better believe it! Leaves your skin smelling lemony fresh. Ooh, it’s so good!
What I love about this product? Wow, where do I begin? The aluminum tin container the product is housed in gives a nice luxurious touch for me. It has a screw on lid. The formula is very rich and luscious. I’ve tried a lot of sugar scrubs that has that has a greasy formula, some less than others. This one isn’t greasy at all, so no slipping in the shower cause of this! Formula is a little bit on the thick side, but that’s expected from a good scrub. Granules are of the right size to provide some scrubbiness in bath or shower. Just straight to the touch, I find it sticky – no surprise there though. The lemon scent is so intoxicating and invigorating. It’s pretty strong, but it doesn’t stay on you much afterwards. My skin feels soft and smooth after use. I definitely am looking forward to my next shower or bath with this product. And as usual with ONE products, all packaging is recyclable to help the environment.
What I don’t like about this product? If I had to be really picky, probably the price. But it’s definitely worth it compared to similar products from brands in the same niche such as LUSH.
It retails for about $9.99 and is available at Target and ULTA stores nationwide, and also at Target.com. ONE products are usually carried online too at Walgreens.com and OneBathandBody.com, but I don’t see the scrub there. It could be out of stock.
*Products in this review have been provided by the PR company or manufacturer for an honest opinion.*
I have gotten acquainted with the Yes To Carrots (YTC) line of bath and body products through a good friend on a forum I belong to. So, I snapped this one up immediately when I saw this in my local ROSS store. I think it was priced aroung $3.99 or so? I can’t remember for sure. I know it retails for more than that in retail stores that carry the line such as Target. This is YTC Carrot Rich Moisturizing Body Scrub. I’ve been using it for a while and I can say that it was good while it lasted.
The wording on the back of the tube states the following:
Why we C?
Your body deserves glowing skin all over. C the Body Moisturizing Scrub with carrot juice and Dead Sea Mud leaves the skin feeling revived, refreshed and rejuvenated.
How to C?
Directions: Massage C the Body for three minutes with lukewarm water three times a week. Look in the mirror – see how you glow!
Now you C!
Verdict? Will buy again. I don’t know about other people but I like reading product descriptions when tinkering around my bathroom. Sometimes you’ll get a good read out of it, but most are just factual stuff (boring). The product is packaged in a regular tube that is very common with bath and body products. The formula is creamy and rich. It’s a little scrubby and it is very moisturizing. Know that squeaky clean feeling you get with a regular commercial soap bar? You won’t get that with this. It doesn’t mean that you won’t feel clean. It’s you’ll feel moisturized already. I didn’t even have to apply lotion or cream to my body after showering with this. It doesn’t dry out your skin at all. I highly recommend this and I’m pretty sure it can be used on a daily basis for most people.
So, another one bites the dust….literally. I have reached the end of the tube of my Bath & Body Works Pleasures Daily High Lather Scrub in Black Raspberry Vanilla scent. The description on the back of the tube states “Vine-ripened black raspberries drenched with vanilla cream. Addictive. Alluring.” and I completely agree! The scent is very enticing, and I’m not a huge berry scented products fan.
The description on the back continues on with “For Daily Beauty: This foaming body scrub expertly exfoliates to reveal after, smoother skin but is gentle enough to use everyday. Massage into skin for abundant lather and beautiful fragrance. Rinse well. Naturally Pampering Ingredients: Sunflower Seed Oil to soften skin, Jojoba Seed Oil for a healthier skin tone, and Carrageenan (Seaweed) to moisturize.”
Verdict? Good buy. The tube lasted me quite a while. It is decently sized at 8.4 fl oz / 250 ml. I didn’t feel the need to use this body scrub everyday. If you have sensitive skin, once a week might be the frequency suggested to be used with this product. I didn’t find it too abrasive for my skin to use every other day or so. Everyday might be a little too much for me. The formula for this is not as thick as I thought it would be. It is quite creamy with some grittiness for the scrubbing property. I didn’t find the need to apply lotion after using this in the shower, as this leaves my skin quite moisturized. Make sure you rinse well though, as the scrubby bits tend to stick to the skin more than you think it would.
I got this at the Bath & Body Works semi-annual sale last year. I’m pretty sure I paid $5 before tax for this tube. I’m not sure if it’s available in this year’s ongoing semi-annual sale. If you’re lucky enough, you just might score one. This product is also available in several different scents from their core line.
