Happy Sunday! I got this in about a week ago but didn’t get around to taking pictures until this weekend. It’s not a bad start of the year with ipsy! Here’s my take on the ipsy January 2017 Glam Bag.
The bag is something out of the box for me. It grew on me though and I can’t wait to use it. It’s the material mostly but it grew on me more by now and it kinda looks sporty! First item that caught my eye is the -417 Hand Moisturizer. I haven’t used it yet but I’m a sucker for hand creams and moisturizers especially at this time of the year. Next up is the Pretty Woman Nail Polish. The shade I got this in is called I Can’t Deal. It looks to me like a greige type of shade, not really my thing but I know someone who would look good with this shade. Then we have the Smashbox Cosmetics Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35. The shade I got this in is LIGHT/MEDIUM, which I think it the right one for me. I don’t use this type of product much but BB creams can be worn alone like a moisturizer, if I remember right, so I’ll give it a shot as such. Next we have the Trust Fund Beauty Lip Gloss. The shade I got this in is called Method To The Madness. It looks to be a pretty coral shade but I’m not sure if I’m going to keep this or not. As I said many times in my past ipsy Glam Bag posts, I have too many lip products open already. Last up is The Vintage Cosmetic Company Rose Gold Tweezers. I’m glad that I got this in my bag as everything about the product caught my eye — the packaging, the color, the item itself and more. I found out that it’s a brand that didn’t originate in the US, so I’m glad for the opportunity to try something from them. I will be putting these to the test tonight!
Overall, not bad! Next month is Valentine’s Day month and I think they usually do something around that theme for the bag. I’m really excited to see what it may be!
Hey guys! I got my ipsy bag in 2 days ago but didn’t get around to posting about it until today. I opened my package in a dimly lighted restaurant that I thought my makeup bag is actually blue but it’s purplish pink as shown. Here’s what I got in my ipsy May 2016 Glam Bag.
This month’s makeup bag is in the envelope style, which is different from what they usually offer. It’s interesting and while I don’t care for the print much I will say I do like the color. The first item that caught my eye is the Épicé Hydrating Mask. I LOVE face masks and this one has kaolin clay and bentonite listed so I’m very excited to try this one soon. Next item that caught my eye is the Smashbox X-Rated Mascara. The packaging looks so familiar that I’m pretty sure I already have this in my makeup drawer (and if so, I’ll be throwing this one in as an extra in a gift bag). Then we have The Organic Pharmacy Antioxidant Lip Balm. I already tried this and I like it! It’s a thick liquid in consistency just like the Neosporin Lip Health Daily Hydration Therapy. Next item in my bag is the Hikari Cosmetics Shimmer Bronzer. The shade I got is called Radiate. While this looks very pretty and I’m tempted to keep it….it’s going into the extra gifts pile for when I put together gift bags. I already own too many bronzers I don’t use. Last up is the Slmissglam Small Contour W07 Brush. I don’t need any more makeup brushes so this goes to the gifting pile as well.
I like the envelope style makeup bag and there’s enough for me to play around this month. I can’t wait for next month’s bag!
Hey guys! How’s the weekend going for y’all so far? I helped my husband out in the garden today. We harvested a lot of tomatoes and planted the garlic for next year’s crop. Tomorrow will just be catching up on laundry and maybe some light cleaning as well. Today’s post is on something I’ve had for a long time now. Here’s my take on the Smashbox Emulsion Lip Exfoliant.
What I love about this product? I got this a long time ago from a friend. I don’t really own any other product like this currently. It’s something that I consider “nice to have” as opposed to a “must-have”. Before owning this, using a damp toothbrush on my lips or a little bit of sugar and olive oil would do the trick. This product basically does the same thing. The granules are a little bit bigger than I would like but it works very well. The scent and taste of peppermint in this is refreshing. It leaves my lips so soft and moisturized after use. I feel that it’s a little bit more greasy after all that’s said and done but this actually comes very handy during the winter season. It’s very emollient, which is great for solving the problem of dry lips.
What I don’t like about this product? Well, it’s no longer available now as far as I can tell but there are many other similar products from various brands that you can get.
More information on other items from this brand is available on their website here and products from this brand is also carried by other retailers such as Sephora and ULTA.
Hey guys! The weather got dreary again with the rain. It’s nice after the short but very hot few days we have here in Oklahoma. I’ve got a chance to sneak in some pictures though before this rainy weather started. Here’s what I got in my ipsy June 2015 Glam Bag.
I didn’t really care for the bag this month but I do find the material interesting. First item that caught my eye is the bulkiest one of the 5: SheaMoisture Shea Butter Lip Crayon. The shade I got is Sarah, which looks bright fuchsia to me right off the bat. I was thinking of giving this away just because I have so many lip products open at the moment but we’ll see. Next item I fished out is the tre’StiQue Mini Shadow Crayon. I got this shade in Aspen Pine. I’m definitely passing this one on as I am trying to trim down my current makeup stash. Then we have dr. brandt® pores no more® vacuum cleaner. I’m eager to try this product out as it deals with pores and I have pretty large pores. Next I got Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. I’m debating on keeping this one because I’m always searching for a good makeup primer just for my own reference really. I’m curious which brand of makeup primer will perform the best at a good price point. Last item is the Pure Brazilian Miracle Leave-In Conditioner. Hair conditioning item? Sign me up. I’ll be putting this to the test the next few weeks.
Overall, last month’s was better unfortunately. I hope it picks up again because I’m debating on signing up for another subscription service instead of this one actually. Any recommendations?
