ipsy January 2018 Glam Bag

I know it’s been a while…but hey! I’m back even if it’s just for a few posts here and there. When I started this blog, it has always been something that I put my energy towards to on my free time as I like nail polish and beauty products. Free time has been harder to come by since the year started. Don’t get me wrong, I do have free time but I choose to spend it doing other things than blogging. If I had more free time then I would’ve eventually put in more posts than I currently do, but this will have to do for now. Thanks for sticking with me still! Anyway, in playing catch up with some posts here, here’s what I got in my ipsy January 2018 Glam Bag.

I like the bag more than I thought I would. In fact, it’s my favorite one for this year so far (since I’ve gotten my February and March one as well). First item that caught my eye is the Befine Exfoliating Cleanser. I’ve actually used this item before I believe. I’m currently using it in my facial cleanser rotation. Next item that caught my eye is the Vasanti Kajal Waterline Eyeliner Pencil. The shade I got this in is called Intense Black. I’ve heard that this product is awesome so I’m definitely keeping it to try it out. Then we have theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer. I’ve been collecting these theBalm minis cause I thought they were so cute! Next we have the Bellápierre Cosmetics StayPut Brow Gel in Licorice. I thought this was a liquid eyeliner or something like that. Not sure if I will keep it as I don’t really do anything with my brows. Last up is the NYX Faux Blacks Eyeliner. I’m actually excited to try this out. The packaging makes me think of unicorns!

Not bad at all and a colorful start to the New Year I say!

Marc Anthony Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco 3 Day Smooth Perfect Blow Dry Cream

Hey guys! I’ve recently tried this product out and wow — I couldn’t wait to blog about it. I got this from my ipsy March 2016 Glam Bag. Here’s my take on the Marc Anthony Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco 3 Day Smooth Perfect Blow Dry Cream.

Marc Anthony Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco 3 Day Smooth Perfect Blow Dry Cream

What I love about this product? First, a little goes a long way. Definitely follow the instructions (apply evenly it says) as I got heavy-handed at first but it didn’t really matter at all! I was very impressed. I thought “Oh no, this is definitely gonna show that I applied too much product on my hair” but nope. It doesn’t look greasy or heavy at all, giving away my mistake that there’s a little more product than needed. My hair looks sleek, straight and shiny. No tangles too! I never really had to use hair smoothing products as my hair is for the most part naturally straight. I do have hair that have kinks all over and I hate that. This one got rid of it all. I just applied a good amount on my hair (remember, evenly!), combed it through and blow dried it. I don’t typically blow dry my hair either but I think it helps with what the product wants to achieve (and it does!). The cream is white in color and it smells great with a hint of vanilla at least according to my nose. My husband commented that it smells like what he expects a body lotion to smell like. According to the instructions “reapply and blow dry on the second and third days” for maximum smoothness. So far, I haven’t had the need to do that at all.

What I don’t like about this product? Actually, nothing really. I typically wash my hair either everyday or every other day during the work week but I can go up to 2 days over the weekend. This might actually be a nice product that can change how often I wash my hair on the weekdays. The price point is very reasonable in my opinion and the scent isn’t overpowering once it’s on the hair. Now please note that my hair is pretty much straight to begin with and I find the added smoothness very pleasing. I can’t guarantee that you will get the same results as everyone’s hair is different but it doesn’t break the bank so I think it’s definitely worth a try.

ipsy March 2016 Glam Bag

Hey guys! It’s another beautiful day today here in Oklahoma! This arrived in my mailbox a few days ago but I was so caught up with my latest Etsy order (which I’ll blog about soon!) that I didn’t get around to taking pictures until today. Here’s what I got in my ipsy March 2016 Glam Bag.

ipsy March 2016 Glam Bag

I knew that the bags this month was going to come in 3 different color schemes. I was hoping for the blue one but I ended up loving the mint green one that I got. It is so, so cute! I am in love with it more than I thought I would be! And for those that remember what happened to my bag from last month — ipsy saved the day and sent me a new one that did NOT have the damage. YAY to ipsy! Anyway, first item that caught my eye is the NUDESTIX Lip + Cheek Pencil. The shade I got this in is called Mystic. I have heard a lot about this brand fairly recently and am glad to have the chance to try it out! Next up is the Marc Anthony Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco 3 Day Smooth Perfect Blow Dry Cream. I loved what I got from this brand a few months ago, which I reviewed here, that I can’t wait to try this out! Then we have the OFRA Cosmetics Eyeliner Pencil. The shade I got is called Green Go. I might gift this one as I have too many of this type of item out already that I barely even use. The unassuming packaging of NoTS 28 Remedy Balancing Toner made it almost go unnoticed for me. I’ve actually been a fan of Korean brand skincare for a while now that this is probably the most exciting item out of everything I got in my bag this month. It just didn’t catch my eye due to the very simple, plain packaging. Last up is the NYX Cosmetics Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick. The shade I got this in is called Kitten Heels. It’s a very pretty matte red that applies on oh so softly! I am VERY impressed with this one so far.

Overall, a great bag! I can’t wait to get next month’s bag now!

ipsy December 2015 Glam Bag

Hey guys! I really didn’t care for last month’s bag that much so I didn’t even bother blogging about it. I got this month’s bag a few days ago and it’s more exciting, so I went ahead and snapped some pictures to share my thoughts with you here. Here’s what I got in my ipsy December 2015 Glam Bag.

ipsy December 2015 Glam Bag

First — the bag….I’m not in love with it but I’m digging it still. The red patent quilted pattern is quite cute and I actually like that it provides more waterproof protection than a regular fabric bag. First item that caught my eye is the Pacifica Power Of Love Natural Lipstick. The shade I got is called Tender Heart. It’s a little bit mave-ish to me on first look so I thought I’ll try it out. Next up is Tarte Smooth Operator™ Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder. I don’t use finishing powders really and actually already own this. With that said, I’ll either stash this away for an extra in a gift or just keep a backup if I really end up liking it. Then we have the Marc Anthony Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Deep Conditioning Treatment. I’m very eager to try this out as I’m always on the lookout for hair conditioning products. It comes with the territory of long hair I think. Next is the Skinn Sugar Lips Polishing Scrub – For Dry & Lined Lips. I want to see how this fares against similar items I’ve used in the past. Last item is Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eye Shadow Primer. I’m adding this to my pile of primers that I use to test in search of a Holy Grail primer.

Overall, not bad. I’m actually keeping all of these items it seems. It’s been a long time I got an ipsy bag with that kind of record!

Target Summer 2015 Beauty Box #3

The last beauty box from Target that I got was what I call the Target Summer 2015 Beauty Box #2. Here’s the Target Summer 2015 Beauty Box #3.

Target Summer 2015 Beauty Box #3

Everything came in a black reusable sturdy cardboard box. This one was only $5 and most of the items are targeted for curly hair. I am still pleased with it as I will be giving these as stocking stuffers for the holiday season.

Dove Quench Absolute Crème Serum

Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-In Conditioner

SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil

Curls Créme Brule Whipped Curl Cream

Colgate Optic White Platinum Express White Toothpaste

Aquaphor Healing Ointment

Regardless if the box is $5 or $7, Target has been hitting it out of the park with these. I can’t wait to get the next one now. As usual, it does come with a $3 off $15 coupon on beauty items to use at Target.
