I am 2 months in using this product and I feel like I have enough to provide a comprehensive review. Today’s post is on Freeman Papaya and Mango Moisture Shampoo.
What I love about this product? It’s supposed to be color safe and rich in moisture, which is a welcoming thing for dry and damaged hair. I was actually pretty happy with how it performed even though I don’t have colored hair and my hair is neither dry nor damaged. The most interesting thing I found about it is that it acts like a clarifying shampoo almost for me. It gives me that squeaky clean feeling in my hair that I normally get with clarifying shampoos. It’s just not to the same degree — which isn’t a bad thing at all! I really appreciate it as summer weather is here and my hair tends to fall limp faster due to any products and natural oils from my scalp weighing it down. This provides some relief to that until the next wash. The scent of this product is definitely on the fruity side although it doesn’t strike me as having the freshness tone that fresh fruit has.
What I don’t like about this product? It looks to be discontinued. -.-
More information on other products the brand carries is available on their website here.
Today’s review is on something that fell short of my expectations. I try hard not to have any expectations when trying a new product but I’ve tried so, so many already from the Freeman brand that I expected it to perform well at the very least. Here’s my take on the Freeman Feeling Beautiful Kiwi & Yogurt Moisturizing Cleanser.
What I love about this product? It comes in the typical tube packaging with flip top cap so I can squeeze out how much I want to use very easily. The texture of this is a little more viscous than I’d prefer it to be. It is opaque in appearance with the palest mint green tint in color. It kinda does look like yogurt when I see it in the palm of my hand. The scent is fruity but I can’t really tell if it’s of kiwi or not. I like the fruit and eat it but when I smelled this product my brain didn’t go “Hey! This totally smells like kiwi!”. It is very gentle on the skin and not drying at all as there is no scrubby bits to it and it produces no lather. I find it a little weird as I’m not used to cleansers that don’t scrub or lather but it does clean the skin without being drying at all.
What I don’t like about this product? There is zero lather and it doesn’t strip off as much as I’d like it to, which is a personal preference. Because of this, I feel like my face is not clean enough. It’s the feel or sensation that I get when after using this.
Hey guys! How’s 2017 going so far for you? Mine is going slow and steady, but no complaints at all over here! It’s Chinese New Year here today and I’m just relaxing at home, trying to catch up with small errands and hoping to squeeze some time on the elliptical in. I don’t typically make any goals or resolutions for the new year but I’m trying to stick with eating better (healthier) and working out more. We’ll see how it goes. So far, the working out part is on track but the eating part is kinda flip-flopping. Hehe. Anyway, today’s blog post is on one of my favorite items from Freeman. Here’s my take on the Freeman Feeling Beautiful Acai Purifying Clay Mask.
What I love about this product? It comes in the tube packaging that makes it easy to use. The color of the tube is so bold, colorful and eye-catching. The scent leans on the strong side but I like it. It’s an artificial take on various berries. Even with my sensitivity to strong scents, I can tolerate this as it’s only on my face for a little bit. I love how it tightens the skin on my face as it dries. It makes me feel like it’s working! I love face masks with clay as they suck up all the oils from my face. Directions are easy to follow on the back of the tube. Just apply the product to face and neck. Sometimes when I want to use a clay mask in the winter but am afraid it’d be too drying, I apply it right onto my face without washing it first. Leave it on until it dries and wash off with warm water. It is recommended to be used “two times a week or as often as needed”. This product leaves my face tight, clean, clear and soft — very purifying indeed!
What I don’t like about this product? If I have to be really picky, the strong scent. If they went lighter on the scent with this, it’d be close to perfect.
Hey guys! It’s the start of my weekend already! YAY! Turns out that I can’t roll over more than 7.5 vacation days into next year so that means I get to use the rest up so I took tomorrow and Friday off! Hopefully this will give me a chance to catch up by taking pictures for newer blog entries. Here’s my take on the Freeman Feeling Beautiful Pink Grapefruit Exfoliating Scrub.
What I love about this product? It comes in a nice tube packaging so I can squeeze out how much I want to use very easily. The texture of this is gel like in appearance, lightly pink and it has tiny crystal bits for scrubbiness. The scent is of pink grapefruit (I can smell the tartness too!) and while it leans on the stronger side when in use, it dissipates once it’s off your face. It is very gentle on the skin — perfect for those with sensitive skin. I don’t find this to be drying at all and it leaves my skin refreshingly clean.
What I don’t like about this product? It’s too light, too gentle for me as a facial scrub but that’s a personal preference.
I dislike Mondays. Who doesn’t? Well okay, some people don’t but a lot of people are in the same boat as me. It’s Tuesday now and I’m still in a mood. I think I’m coming down with something as well, so in an effort to get me out of this blah mood I decided to use a face mask and I picked out a trusted one. Here’s my take on the Freeman Feeling Beautiful Avocado & Oatmeal Clay Mask.
What I love about this product? It comes in the tube packaging that makes it easy to use. The mint green color is a very nice touch — I dig it. The scent isn’t extremely strong compared to some other ones they make. It doesn’t smell like avocados to me though. It smells more like something that makes me think of baby powder. It doesn’t bother me for the length of time it has to be on my face. I feel like this is one of their less drying clay face masks but I haven’t tried every single one they carry just yet. I love how this product leaves my face squeaky clean and soft. I do notice that it sucked up all the oils from my face.
What I don’t like about this product? Nothing at all! It’s very reasonably priced and is available at various retailers nationwide.
