Better late than never! I got this box about month ago but never got around to posting it until now. Holidays are always a busy time for me. I like how they mixed it up a little bit more with this box — I think it’s one of the more different ones from their past boxes. Still a great deal for $5 just to try these out. Here’s what I got in my Walmart Winter 2017 Beauty Box.
Overall, like I mentioned earlier I feel like they changed it up more with this box compared to the previous ones. This is mostly due to the sleeping mask and the flossers. I’m very glad they decided to switch up from the usual travel size shampoo and conditioner. I feel like they’ve done that A LOT. They have a lotion in just about every box too but at least they do change that up I think.
I’m most excited about the sleeping mask! Can’t wait to try it out.
I got my Walmart Fall 2016 Beauty Box in about 2 weeks ago. I was fairly pleased with what I got for $5 (yet again!).
The boxes vary in terms of worth to me each time but what it boils down to is it’s just $5 and looking at everything I got, that’s not a bad price for it at all.
I see a few things already here that I can use immediately. This is a great way to try some stuff out before committing to a full-sized product!
Hey guys! Today’s post is on something I got with my ipsy January 2016 Glam Bag. Here’s what I think about the Mitchell and Peach English Leaf Body Cream.
What I love about this product? As a body cream, it has the right formula in thickness and consistency. It’s not too viscous and applies very easily onto the skin. My skin absorbed it pretty quick and it keeps my skin well moisturized for hours. The scent is described as being a bright ‘green floral’ scent. To me, it’s very garden-y/green. To my co-worker sis Didi it smells earthy while to my co-worker Logan it’s a floral scent. I find that the scent changes after staying on my skin for a while. It smells a little soapy to me — but just a hint of it. I use it on my hands a lot for a while as it keeps my cuticles very moisturized.
What I don’t like about this product? The scent might be a problem for some but if I really had to be picky it would be the accessibility of this brand. I can only get it from online retailers based on where I live it seems.

Hey guys! Today’s post is on something I’ve just finished up today. Here’s my take on the Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter.
At 59 ml / 2 fl oz, I got this set of 2 at Sephora a little over a year ago. I didn’t get to use it until recently.
The website describes this item with the following:
“It’s not heavy, it’s my butter—silky, intensely hydrating body butter that smells subtly yum and gives sweet relief to the driest skin. Packed with luscious oils and whipped to a feather-light texture, it sinks in instantly for velvety soft skin to create an argan oil infused body lotion in a flash. Spread the love and feel the difference.
Why I love it: No matter how many hot baths or red-eye flights I take, this stuff has my back and my front, and everywhere else. It’s hard-core enough to quench parched elbows and heels, but never greasy or sticky. And the two fresh, natural scents, vanilla apricot or sweet citrus, lightly linger on my skin like an all-day aromatherapy infusion.
What’s in it: No wonder it feels so good. My Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter is a powerhouse of more than ten plant oils and extracts, plus the star of the show, 100% Pure Argan Oil, with its restorative and antioxidant properties.
What’s not in it: I dont clutter my butter with ingredients that are toxic, or unethically tested. That means no parabens or harsh artificial fragrances. And no guinea pigs, unless you count my friends and family.”
Verdict? I love it. It is everything I have come to more or less expect from a good body butter. It is definitely light and absorbs really nice into the skin. What I will say that this isn’t a non-greasy formula. It’s light — I’ll give it that — but it has the lightest touch of greasiness that comes with oil-based body butters. It’s almost not noticeable but it’s there. And when compared to other oil-based body butters — yes, I’d say it’s not greasy at all. It lasts just as long as I expected from these little tubs — more than I can say for the Nspa Coconut Body Butter I’ve reviewed recently. Between Sweet Citrus and Vanilla Apricot, I prefer Sweet Citrus. I feel that the freshness in this scent is pleasant and it’s more true to the name of the scent than Vanilla Apricot.
At $35 for 240 ml / 8 oz, this product is available on their website. Products from this brand is also carried by other retailers such as Sephora.
Hey guys! I’ll try to keep this short as I’m looking at a super busy weekend. Here’s what I got in my ipsy January 2016 Glam Bag.
I think the bag is very cute! The print makes me think of all things retro and Austin Powers. First item that caught my eye is the Mitchell and Peach English Leaf Body Cream. I have received a hand cream of the same brand in a previous glam bag and remembered liking it. I’ll keep this to try out as soon as my current body lotion runs out. Next up is Beau Gâchis Paris Smudge Brush. I don’t wear makeup a lot and already have a lot of makeup brushes so I’ll keep this in my stocking stuffer stash. Then we have theBalm Mr. Write (Now). This eye liner has a catchy name and a built-in sharpener. The shade I got is in Jack B. Bronze, which is a rich bronze. I can’t wait to try this out as I’m curious to how their eye liners are. Next is the pur~lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Eye Adore Serum. I’m about to switch my eye cream and this seems to be a good one to try out. Last item is the Hikari Cream Metallic Pigment Shadow. The shade I got is called Mink. Eye shadow is one kind of product I have too much of already so I’ll save this for someone else.
Overall, pretty good! I’m looking forward to next month’s bag already.
