MEDIHEAL Placenta Revital Essential Mask EX
Today’s post is on a MEDIHEAL mask that I’ve been looking forward to try the most. This was the sheet mask that started my sheet mask shopping binge last July. I wanted to try a sheet mask from MEDIHEAL and I read a few great reviews about it on Reddit that I had to get it. I ended up getting this and a few others from Stylevana as it wasn’t available on Amazon then. Here’s my thoughts on the MEDIHEAL Placenta Revital Essential Mask EX.
First thoughts? To be honest, “Placenta?! Eww!” but it definitely piqued my interest. Rest easy, this is vegetable placenta. Historically though, placenta in beauty and skincare has not always been from a vegetable source and has been sought after for it’s health benefits. This is the description online: “Premium ingredients, Hydrolyzed Animal Placenta Extract and Hydrolyzed Chitosan energize, nourish, and protect to support the appearance of healthy, glowing skin. Silky cellulose mask fits tightly to the skin, ensuring optimal delivery of essence.” I placed an almost dripping wet sheet mask on my face and kept it on until it was mostly dry to the touch — roughly 40 minutes or so. The cheeks area was still slightly damp when I took it off. I rubbed whatever is left on the sheet mask onto my neck, arms, elbows and feet. My face felt refreshed after use. Like the MEDIHEAL N.M.F Aquaring Ampoule Mask EX, I find that this dries down pretty well and the slight tackiness left over was easy to layer over with my face moisturizer.
Any negatives? I purchased a bunch of these in a sale and I’m hoping I’d see better results with consistent use of this. Right now, although I like it and it’s one of the top 3 sheet masks from this brand for me….it hasn’t secured its spot in my repurchase list from this brand. The results didn’t blow me away or anything.
