Kiehl’s Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Body Polish

I was introduced to Kiehl’s purely by accident. I remember the summer before my first semester in college started. I was hanging out with my cousins at their house in the East Coast. I would hang out with them when they’re at home, sometimes in their rooms. My older cousin is a beauty product junkie. She has several bottles of nice perfume and lots of skin care products strewn in her room and her bathroom. This includes sample packets, and I was lucky enough to try something from Kiehl’s that summer. I wasn’t really into beauty and skincare items back then. My skincare items consist of facial wash or scrub and body lotion. I didn’t even care to moisturize my face! So it didn’t leave any impression on me other than this is one of the more “natural” skincare brands I’ve come across back then. This usually means it’s not as heavily scented like most skincare products I was into. Fast forward to the year before I had my son. It was winter. I was trying to find a moisturizing skincare line that wouldn’t harm my growing fetus (I cut out almost everything I’ve been using at this point just to be safe) and keep my skin moisturized at the same time. Kiehl’s came up and I took the plunge and purchased one of their special value holiday kits that included this. I didn’t get to try it until recently. Here’s my take on the Kiehl’s Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Body Polish.

Kiehl’s Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Body Polish

What I love about this product? Oh my….where do I start? The first thing that I notice after the packaging is the scent. The sweet scent of shea butter, almond and honey hits my nose in a very good way. If I was hungry, it would make me tempted to eat it (fun fact — when I was 7 or so I took a small bite out of a dolphin shaped soap while showering as it smelled nice, so I was curious how it tasted….that was the first and last time I tasted something that is not food). The standard squeeze tube packaging holds a thick, creamy mixture of this very moisturizing body polish that is peppered with apricot seed powder and luffa fruit. Following the directions on the tube, I applied a generous amount on wet skin to work into a lather and rinse when ready. When lathering up my body with this, it feels so creamy and luxurious. It felt sinful (and wasteful — it felt that luxurious to me!) as I feel like I’m bathing in shea butter body cream or something. I love it. It rinses off nicely, leaving my skin very soft and lightly scented of the product. It is gentle enough for everyday use.

What I don’t like about this product? The only downside for me is the price. This 6.8 fl oz / 200 ml tube retails for $30. I managed to get this in a holiday value set, so I didn’t pay that much. If it wasn’t for that set though I would’ve never tried this product. With sales, I’m willing to repurchase this. Right now, I’m waiting for the end of the upcoming holiday season to score some of the holiday sets from Keihl’s on sale. Hopefully there will be a set that includes this product.

You can get this or any of their other products here.
