Sinful Colors Green Ocean

Hey guys! I’m knee-deep in Season 3 already of Heroes. I thought my attention would wane but the series managed to grip my attention once again. I will say it’s still nothing like the first season. I guess it’s a mix of the discovery of new characters and them finding out their abilities along with them that contributes to the specialness (is that even a word?) of that season. Anyway, today’s post is on Sinful Colors Green Ocean.

Sinful Colors Green Ocean

Described as “glitter-flecked emerald”, this is one of the 7 shades from their Having A Blast Collection for this past July 4th. Of all the shades in that collection, I find this one sticking out like a sore thumb. I don’t feel like this shade meshes with the rest in the red, blue and white theme. I know for a fact that this shade is brought back over and over again every year for their St. Patrick’s Day collection. Green Ocean is made up of iridescent green shards along with hex shaped glitter in a clear base. This is what I would call a flakie shade than just a plan glitter. On its own it’s really just a hint of flashing shine when the light hits the iridescent flakie and glitter pieces. As always, I feel that they’re best seen over darker shades. It went on great and dries fast. Shown is one coat with no top coat.

And here it is over Sinful Colors Blue By You that I featured earlier in this blog post.

Sinful Colors is available at various retailers and drugstores such as Walmart, Target, CVS, and Walgreens. They have a list of retailers up on their website here. They’re usually priced at $1.99 but you can score some for as low as $0.99 each when there is a BOGO promo or some special pricing on these.
