Sinful Colors Neptune

My latest Sinful Colors find took me by surprise. I finally saw the Cast Away display even though some of the shades are long gone already. But I was lucky enough to score this one. Here’s Sinful Colors Neptune.

Sinful Colors Neptune

Ooooh! Exactly! That’s what went through my head when I saw this shade. I scored Zeus just a few days ago, but I swear the display wasn’t out yet or else I’d have gotten this too! I want to say that this shade has a glass fleck finish, but I honestly don’t know anymore. Some call this type of finish foil, but it doesn’t even look like foil so I’m going with glass fleck. You can see the little flecks in this blue shade anyway. Formula is on the watery side, but I managed to get in on nicely still. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

My camera lighting changes every few shots sometimes and this shade is simply too pretty not to include all the pictures I’ve taken of it so….:)

Have you checked out your Walgreens lately?

    • Me too! I hope I didn’t miss other shades with a similar finish, since my display had already been raided when I got there.

Not an exact Essie Starry Starry Night dupe, but it’s similar, no? I’d love to see them side by side; the shimmer is a different color, but since I’ll never find SSN or its dupes, could it be an acceptable substitute?

    • Oh no, not even close. The finish is totally different. Essie Starry, Starry Night is a glitter while this is not at all. I wish this is a dupe to it, but it’s really not. If it’s pretty enough for you to think that though, I say it’s worth getting it. 🙂

Yeah, after I checked them out side by side, no way. I DID order Neptune, though! 🙂 Do you know of any SSN dupes besides the Naturistic Blue Pearl? I can’t seem to find that anywhere.

        • No, I don’t unfortunately. But let me get back to you on that if I do remember one. 🙂 I know some have attempted to franken it.

  6. Did you want the other shades in the collection? Walgreens around me still have full displays. Neptune is my favorite out of the entire collection. Zeus is a close second! Definitely a gorgeous collection! I wish I had gotten them when they were on sale last week at 99 cents!

    • I was trying to figure out other non-creme shades in the collection, but I couldn’t find a post with a picture of all the shades so I wasn’t sure if Neptune and Zeus are the only non-cremes. I passed on a few of the cremes I saw. Thanks for asking and let me know if there are other non-cremes in that display! 🙂
