Sinful Colors Neptune
My latest Sinful Colors find took me by surprise. I finally saw the Cast Away display even though some of the shades are long gone already. But I was lucky enough to score this one. Here’s Sinful Colors Neptune.

Sinful Colors Neptune
Ooooh! Exactly! That’s what went through my head when I saw this shade. I scored Zeus just a few days ago, but I swear the display wasn’t out yet or else I’d have gotten this too! I want to say that this shade has a glass fleck finish, but I honestly don’t know anymore. Some call this type of finish foil, but it doesn’t even look like foil so I’m going with glass fleck. You can see the little flecks in this blue shade anyway. Formula is on the watery side, but I managed to get in on nicely still. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

My camera lighting changes every few shots sometimes and this shade is simply too pretty not to include all the pictures I’ve taken of it so….:)
Have you checked out your Walgreens lately?
Jordana Easyliner For Eyes Retractable Pencil
Jordana’s hit another home run with these! I’ve been a huge fan of some of their other eye liner lines such as Glitter Rocks and Metal Rocks. Of course, I was hoping I’d love these too so I’ll have all bases covered when it comes to Jordana eye liners. Here’s Jordana Easyliner For Eyes Retractable Pencil.

Jordana Easyliner For Eyes Retractable Pencil

Jordana Easyliner For Eyes Retractable Pencil (shot to show the shade names clearly)
These are described as:
- Retractable – No Sharpening Required
- Silky Smooth Soft Glide Formula
- Excellent Color Coverage, All-Day Wear
- Convenient & Easy to Use
- Made in USA
Just like most other Jordana products, these are nicely pigmented and very easy to use. I find these to be a cross between the Glitter Rocks and Metal Rocks eye liners. It doesn’t take much to get the color on, but it didn’t apply as easy to get a good pigmentation like Metal Rocks eye liners. No sharpening required, just twist for more product. These lasted for a good 12 hours on me. It does vary with other environmental conditions such as humidity and stuff because it did last me only about 8 hours on some days. It is slim and easy enough to slip into small clutches as well, making touch-ups a breeze. Swatches below are shown for shades above from bottom to top. For each shade, I swatched the eye liners with 3 even strokes.

Jordana Easyliner For Eyes Retractable Pencil Swatches

Jordana Easyliner For Eyes Retractable Pencil Swatches (direct sunlight)
These retail for $1.99 each. I’d gladly pay that price and swoop up every single shade I could possibly use. I couldn’t find Seagreen, so that’s the only one missing from this entire line in the pictures. You can get these on their website or at your local Walgreens. A reader mentioned that Jordana is also available at KMart.

Sinful Colors Zeus
I picked this shade up last night when I was trying to get the last of what I needed from Sinful Colors on the $0.99 sale at Walgreens. It didn’t sound familiar to me and so it followed me home. Here’s Sinful Colors Zeus.

Sinful Colors Zeus
I don’t think it’s one of the new shades in the core collection, but it does remind me a bit of a franken I made (called Grape Sorbet) with a shade in their core collection called Fiji. Formula was pretty good. This shade isn’t as sheer as how some Sinful Colors shades could be, but it isn’t one of the most opaque ones I’ve tried from them. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Sinful Colors Zeus (in shade)

Too bad it’s not a duochrome like I thought it might be. Just a little pink flash here and there.
Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara
One of the few makeup products I use every few days is mascara. A good mascara is hard to find. I have tried many and there are still lots to go. Recently, I tried one from Jordana. Enter Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara.

Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara
This is described as:
- Immediate Extreme Volume
- Buildable Formula Without Clumping
- Long-Lasting Power
- Made in Italy
The shade is a pretty dark black. It is easy to use – just apply like regular mascara. The effect I got from using this mascara is a little bit on the clumpier side. It does provide volume, but the thicker formula may not be for those that don’t want any volume due to slight clumpiness at all. I like the look it provided me. Lasting power is pretty impressive. It survived a whole work day for me without having to reapply it. No raccoon eyes at the end of the day – definitely a good thing!
This retails for $2.99 – a great price for this mascara! This product is available in one shade only (black) right now, but I’m hoping they’ll come up with a brown one at least for those that prefer a lighter shade for your lashes. You can get this on their website or at your local Walgreens. A reader mentioned that Jordana is also available at KMart.

Jordana INCOLOR LipShine Glaze Brush On Gloss
This product is like a blast to the past for me. I recall using a similar product from Mark of Avon and actually liked it a lot. I used it til the tube ran dry. Naturally, I can’t help feeling a little bit excited when I came across these. Enter Jordana INCOLOR LipShine Glaze Brush On Gloss.

Jordana INCOLOR LipShine Glaze Brush On Gloss

Jordana INCOLOR LipShine Glaze Brush On Gloss (shot to show the shade names clearly)
These are described as:
- Click Pen – Easy To Use
- Hint of Flavor & Splash of Color
- Vitamin E to Protect Lips; Aloe for Added Moisture
- Made in Canada
These are very easy to use. Just twist the body to get product flowing to the brush tip and apply as needed. A little goes a long way, so keep that in mind when you’re twisting away. You can easily overdo it and will end up with lip gloss dripping out instead. Formula was nice and only slightly sticky on the lips. Huge NOTE here, only slightly sticky!!! I like that it’s not as sticky at all as some lip glosses from other brands can be. It’s just sticky enough to stay on the lips. It provided just a tiny sheen of color on my lips. I had to reapply it after eating or drinking, but that’s expected from this type of product. Lips stay moisturized for the whole duration the product stayed on. There are a variety of scents to choose from and while they are not true to scent, the slight artificialness didn’t put me off at all. Since brushing it onto my arm would look kinda funny, I opted to click a little bit more to get dollops of the product out instead. Swatches below are shown for shades above from bottom to top.

Jordana INCOLOR Fabuliner Liquid Eyeliner
I’ve never used a liquid liner I liked. I draw right on the water line and the liquid liner usually spreads on my eyes due to its viscosity. I recently got the opportunity to try one from Jordana. It’s their INCOLOR Fabuliner Liquid Eyeliner.

Jordana INCOLOR Fabuliner Liquid Eyeliner

Jordana INCOLOR Fabuliner Liquid Eyeliner (shot to show the shade names clearly)
These are described as:
- Felt-Tip Precision Liner
- No Skipping or Dragging
- Convenient & Easy to Use
- Dramatic Eye Definition
- Made in Italy
These are nicely pigmented and extremely easy to use. No tugging at all or need to apply pressure. It glided on nicely. It’s just as viscous as other liquid eye liners so I had to adjust my eye liner application technique with liquid eye liners. I applied it right at “outer” waterline (away from the eye, but still part of the waterline). This avoid the liquid liner from spreading to my eye. The felt-tip reminds me of a permanent marker, but it’s actually quite effective on getting product nicely to where you want it. Lasting power is pretty impressive. It survived a whole work day for me without having to reapply it. Swatches below are shown for shades above from left to right. For each shade, swatch on the left is one swipe of the eye liner and 2 swipes beside that on the right.
EDIT: I forgot to address the “stitch” look in the swatch….it’s just how it looks swatched on my arm when I run it. Plus, the picture is definitely more close-up than what people would normally see when they look at you. It doesn’t look like that on the waterline!

Jordana INCOLOR Fabuliner Liquid Eyeliner Swatches

Jordana INCOLOR Fabuliner Liquid Eyeliner Swatches (with flash)
These retail for $2.99 each. Not a bad price at all for what you’re getting. I still prefer pencil eye liners, but this is a good one to have for those that use liquid liners. You can see in the swatches that they’re very pigmented for just one swipe of the product. This product is available in 2 shades only (black and brown), as shown above. You can get these on their website or at your local Walgreens. A reader mentioned that Jordana is also available at KMart.

Jordana Easyliner For Lips Retractable Pencil
Jordana’s hit a home run with these! Now, I don’t own any other lip liners apart from these except for a sample Chanel one that my polishnbags sister sent me to try out. I can’t really compare these to any other brands, so this is just an overall review for the product itself. Here are their Easyliner For Lips Retractable Pencil.

Jordana Easyliner For Lips Retractable Pencil

Jordana Easyliner For Lips Retractable Pencil (shot to show the shade names clearly)
These are described as:
- Retractable – No Sharpening Required
- Silky Smooth Soft Glide Formula
- Excellent Color Coverage, All-Day Wear
- Convenient & Easy to Use
- Made in USA
These are nicely pigmented and very easy to use. It doesn’t take much to get the color on, so no tugging at all or applying a good amount of pressure. It glided on nicely. No sharpening is always a very good thing. Most of the shades didn’t last as long as I wanted to (mostly faded by the end of a normal work day), but it does wear well (the fading away of the shade isn’t noticeable at all). The size is easy enough to slip into small clutches, making touch-ups a breeze. Just use these with lip color shades that are close to or, what is usually suggested, a shade lighter than the lip liner. Swatches below are shown for shades above from bottom to top. For each shade, I swatched the lip liners with 2 even strokes.

Jordana Easyliner For Lips Retractable Pencil Swatches

Jordana Easyliner For Lips Retractable Pencil Swatches (with flash)
These retail for $1.99 each. At that price point, you might as well pick up a couple that best matches the lip colors you use most. There are a couple of shades more they have that is not shown in this post. You can get these on their website or at your local Walgreens. A reader mentioned that Jordana is also available at KMart.

Jordana 7″ Eyeliner Pencil
Hey all! Today I have another set of eye cosmetic products from Jordana. It’s their 7″ Eyeliner Pencil, available in 10 shades of which 7 are shown here.

Jordana 7" Eyeliner Pencil

Jordana 7" Eyeliner Pencil (shot to show shade names clearly)
These are described as:
- Rich, Dense Color Resists Fading
- Line, Defines, Accentuates
- Stays Put in All Weather
- Made in USA
Truth be told, I find these subpar compared to Jordana’s other eye liner pencils such as their Glitter Rocks Retractable Eye Liner Pencil and Metal Rocks Retractable Eye Liner Pencil lines. It takes a little bit of elbow grease to get it working right. I thought maybe there is a layer of wax preventing it from being pigmented when I tried it out. It didn’t show up much. It applied much easier onto my arm when swatching than my water line though. It does last for a while, but not close to the other 2 lines I mentioned earlier from them. Swatches below are shown for shades above from bottom to top. For each shade, swatch on the left is one swipe of the eye liner and 2 swipes beside that on the right.

Jordana 7" Eyeliner Pencil Swatches

These retail for $1.29 each, so you’re not breaking the bank by getting a couple to just try them out. Your experience may differ greatly from mine, but I’d personally skip over these and get their other eye liners instead. They’re more pigmented, applies smoother and lasts much longer. You can get these on their website or at your local Walgreens. A reader mentioned that Jordana is also available at KMart.

Jordana FabuBrow Eyebrow Pencil
Hope y’all are having a great Thanksgiving Holiday! Today’s post is about something I’m a real newbie with. I think partially it’s because I have my eyebrows tattoed on. But I try everything once at least.
Enter Jordana FabuBrow Eyebrow Pencil.

Jordana FabuBrow Eyebrow Pencil

Jordana FabuBrow Eyebrow Pencil (shot to show shade names clearly)
These are described as:
- Fills In, Defines & Colors Brows
- Creamy, Long-Lasting Formula
- Sharpens to a Fine Point
- Made in Germany
I liked how creamy it is as opposed to the waxy, hard type of formula that a lot of other brands have. These are quite pigmented and very easy to use. The lasting power is impressive. I survived full work days without any touch ups at all. The shade I used on myself is Dark Brown. I didn’t use the brow brush end much, but it did provide the combing action my eyebrows needed when there’s a couple hairs going astray. The downside? Well, I was hoping that the 3 shades differ more than they actually do for people who have lighter eyebrows such as on the blonde side or even a redder shade of brown for redheads. Maybe Jordana is cooking up more shades to come? Swatches below shows the color payoff with three strokes of the product on my arm. They are shown in the order as the shot above from left to right (Taupe, Medium Brown and Dark Brown).

Jordana FabuBrow Eyebrow Pencil Swatches

Jordana FabuBrow Eyebrow Pencil Swatches (with flash)
These retail for $2.99 each. And since I don’t have any other eyebrow liners, I’d pick these up again when I run out. They are decently priced for the color payoff and lasting power of the product. You can get these on their website or at your local Walgreens and KMart stores.

Jordana INCOLOR Squeeze n’ Shine Super Shiny Tasty Lip Gloss
Hey guys! Today’s post is short and sweet for a full review. With lots of variety and available now at Walgreens, here are some Jordana INCOLOR Squeeze n. Shine Super Shiny Tasty Lip Glosses.

Jordana INCOLOR Squeeze n' Shine Super Shiny Tasty Lip Gloss
These are described as:
- Moisturizing Transparent Tints & Shimmers
- Tube with Slanted Applicator Tip
- Made in USA
These are very easy to use and not too sticky compared to the same product from other brands. The Clear one has no scent or taste and the others smell and taste as expected. They’re all different in terms of what kind of tint and shine it leaves on your lips. Some are more shimmery or tinted than others. They don’t last very long on the lips after activities such as drinking or eating, but that’s expected with a lip gloss really. For the price tag it comes with, not bad at all! From left to right, swatches below are Berry Cute, Be Coralful, Strawberry Icing, Honey Luau, Clear, and Sugar Lips. The lighting for the in shade shot made my skin look so much redder than it really is. Some are really close to each other when swatched. See below for what I mean.

Jordana Glitter Rocks Retractable Eye Liner Pencil
Today’s post features more goodies from Jordana Cosmetics. Today, we are moving on to some eye products. One of the 2 main eye products I use is eye liner (the other is mascara). I don’t use this on my face everyday because both my upper and lower waterline, also known as lashline, is tattoed on. It has worn down over the years (the lower waterline in particular), so I do use eye liner once in a while. Just not everyday.
Here is Glitter Rocks Retractable Eye Liner Pencil.

Jordana Glitter Rocks Retractable Eye Liner Pencil

Jordana Glitter Rocks Retractable Eye Liner Pencil (shot to show shade names clearly)
These are described as:
- Retractable – No Sharpening Required
- Breakthrough Glitter Formula
- Long-Lasting, East to Use Shimmery Colors
- Made in Germany
I find these to be very easy to use and carry. Formula is not as smooth as other eye liners I’ve tried (such as their Metal Rocks Retractable Eye Liner Pencil), but that’s mainly because of the glitter formula I think. I will admit I was wary with these having glitter in them. I was concerned about glitter getting into my eye and such. But my worries were put to rest when I tried them out. They glided on okay. As I mentioned earlier, it’s not as smooth as other eye liners I’ve used before. I had to glide it a few times gently over my waterline. Once it’s on, it’s quite pigmented and you can definitely see the glitter. Wear for this is excellent. I didn’t have to retouch at all during the whole work days (9AM – 6PM) I’ve tried this product. Swatches below are shown for shades above from left to right. For each shade, swatch on the left is one swipe of the eye liner and 2 swipes beside that on the right.

Jordana Easyshine Glossy Lip Color
If you guys haven’t noticed, Jordana Cosmetics is now available at Walgreens! I spotted them there 2 weeks back and today I’m going to show you a couple of shades from one of their products, the Easyshine Glossy Lip Color.

Jordana Easyshine Glossy Lip Color

Jordana Easyshine Glossy Lip Color (shot to show shade names)
These are described as:
- Fun Pop Of Color
- High Impact Shine Finish
- The Perfect Combination of Color, Flavor & Shine
- Made in USA
I find these to be a cross between a lipstick and a lip gloss. They are not super opaque or pigmented like lipsticks, but they have more color than tinted lip glosses. There is a good variety to choose from, ranging from matte to shimmery shades. The scent on all of them is not heavy at all and quite pleasant to my nose. The flavor varies. Most of them doesn’t bother me with the exception of Sweet Strawberry surprisingly. It’s not what I thought how it would be compared to strawberry lip products I’ve used before. I barely noticed any scent or flavor with Sugar Cookie. Texture is not sticky at all and it is very moisturizing. It glided dreamily onto my lips during application. Lasting power? I went for 6 hours without having to retouch it at all. If you frequently eat or drink throughout the day, you will have to reapply pretty much each time after that. Shown below are in ascending order of the #s from left to right, which is the opposite in the shots shown above. I labeled them in the first shot below for convenience.

Jordana Easyshine Glossy Lip Color Swatches (closer shot)
These retail for $1.99 each, cheaper than a lot of other options out there. You can get these on their website or at your local Walgreens. My favorite among these 6? Berry Colada! Not too red, not too pink and has just the right amount of shimmer. ♥
For reference: Sugar Plum, Watermelon Juice and Sweet Strawberry are cremes while Berry Colada, Raspberry and Sugar Cookie are shimmers.

Melmers 50% Off!
Hey y’all! Check out your weekly Michael’s ad to see if this offer is in your region as well. Starting tomorrow until the 17th, Melmers are 50% off! I store most of my nail polish in Melmers. Polish heads call them Melmers after the Helmers from IKEA, but we get these from Micheal’s instead. Thus, Melmer. Here is a shot that I took a few months ago of mine.

Melmer Storage
This is 3 Melmers stacked up one after the other. I wouldn’t stack up more than 3 cause that would be too high for my 5’6″ frame to look into the topmost drawer without having to use a step stool or something. I now have 6 and that’s my limit for owning polish. I didn’t want to do more than that at this point and it’s a way of somehow having control over what I have. They have a tendency to multiply like bunnies sometimes.
Hope this notice helps some of you score one this week. Also, Sinful Colors is back at $0.99 this week. Run to your Walgreens for this deal!
Sinful Colors Amethyst
I just got back from the last of my Walgreens run this week to take advantage of the $0.99 Sinful Colors sale as well as getting some of the Revlon scented shades that were recently spotted everywhere (spend $3.99 and get $3 in Registered Rewards to use on your next purchase!). Well, today’s run was even more fun cause the Revlons I got rang up for $2.87 before tax. Sweet! I grabbed all the Sinful Colors I can find that I wanted and one of those that came home with me is Amethyst.

Sinful Colors Amethyst
Amethyst was spotted in a display for their Go Plaid Collection. I know that the display had 4 shades and the only other one I even bothered to look at was a green creme called Envy. Formula for this purple creme is pretty opaque. Just one coat honey! I thought about using thinner coats for this one, but it seemed pretty opaque so I went with one slightly thicker coat.

Some Walgreens are open 24 hours a day, so it’s definitely not too late to get in on this deal last-minute!
Sinful Colors Queen Of Beauty
OMG y’all! I have great news if you’re a Sinful Colors nail lacquer lover or simply someone that have been wanting to try them out. This week, Walgreens is having them on sale for $0.99 each! I have been waiting for this sale to score some shades that I’ve been pining on. This sale will definitely motivate me to stop by at the 2 Walgreens in my area! To kick things off, here’s one of my Sinful Colors shade from my stash called Queen Of Beauty.

Sinful Colors Queen Of Beauty
Glittah!!! Y’all know I’m a huge glitter fan, but this is actually one of the last few Sinful Colors shades I got. Why? Well, they have other glitter shades that are more interesting like Hottie or Pinky Glitter, just to name a few. I eventually got to this silver glitter beauty. Formula was a teeny bit on the thin side, but gave me no problems during application. Drying time for this is longer than I expected for a glitter shade. Definitely use more coats for opacity. Shown is 4 thin coats with no top coat.

I’m hoping mine still have the neon ones that came out not too long ago. I usually don’t pick up any from this brand until they go on a sale like this.
Sinful Colors Let Me Go
This is the last day you can get Sinful Colors nail polish at Walgreens for $0.99 each! I’ve been featuring a Sinful Colors shade each day since Monday this week, in hopes that it might help some of you guys in deciding if you like the shade on your nails or not. Today, I have Let Me Go.

Sinful Colors Let Me Go
This is a very pretty duochrome polish. I picked this up a few weeks ago when Walgreens had it for $0.99 each (they have it at this price every so often, I think). There are other 2 duochromes I picked up on the same trip but this shade is the one with the strongest duochrome effect. At least by just looking at the bottle. You can see the lavender, silver, and pink with some blue and green in this shade.

Sinful Colors Let Me Go (in shade)

Sinful Colors Let Me Go (direct sunlight)

Sinfu Colors Let Me Go (close-up)
Please excuse the dry skin. The ever-changing weather here in Oklahoma does take a toll on my skin. Shown in pictures is 3 thin coats with no top coat. Sadly, just like Oasis, it’s a very pretty shade but the duochrome effect doesn’t come through strong enough for my liking. It is very evident in the bottle but not so much on the nails. Hopefully, the next duochrome shade from Sinful Colors that I will swatch is better at this. The formula is smooth, bearing a little bit of the frost nail polish property of streaky brush strokes. This particular shade is quite sheer too, but most duochromes are quite sheer as well. Drying time is pretty fast for Sinful Colors.
Last day today until whenever they do this sale again, ladies! Go get your Sinful Colors now if you haven’t yet.
Sinful Colors San Francisco
Concluding this work week, I have Sinful Colors’ San Francisco. This is one of their most talked about shade. This is the very first shade I heard of with any mention of Sinful Colors in the nail blogging world.

Sinful Colors San Francisco
It’s a rich, pretty green that has a deep shimmer to it. It is very vibrant and bold. Whenever I pick up this bottle, I can’t help but think of the song “San Francisco” sung by Scott McKenzie. Weird thing is, when I was at Walgreens a few week back when they were having the $0.99 sale for Sinful Colors….that song was playing in the store and I was showing that bottle to the Spy. I took it as a sign and bought it on that trip.

Sinful Colors San Francisco (in shade)

Sinful Colors San Francisco (direct sunlight)

Sinful Colors San Francisco (another angle)

Sinful Colors San Francisco (with flash)
The formula is a quite watery. It’s the most watery Sinful Colors shade I’ve tried so far. The first coat just puddles out in an uneven application, no matter how hard I try. I tend to apply pretty thin coats too. I’ll try applying a super thin coat next time I use this polish. Shown is 3 thin coats with no top coat. Drying time is slower than other Sinful Colors shades I’ve tried, probably due to the watery formula. It might just be the batch my bottle came from though, so don’t let this part of my review discourage you from getting this beautiful shade.

Sinful Colors San Francisco (close-up)
Last day of this $0.99 sale at Walgreens is tomorrow. Grab them when you can!
Sinful Colors Oasis
First look of this, I passed on it. That was the week I went mad and stocked up on 39 Sinful Colors from Walgreens for $0.99 each. Well, I returned earlier this week to get the ones I missed out on last time cause they were on sale for $0.99 each. I ALMOST passed on this one again! But I picked up every bottle that wasn’t creme (not my favorite nail enamel finish) and dropped it into my shopping basket. I picked this up thinking it was a creme but I was wrong. It’s a shimmer with a very slight duochrome. Duochrome!!! In to the basket it went. Without further ado, this is Sinful Colors’ Oasis.

Sinful Colors Oasis
You can barely see the shimmer in the picture. I know, that’s why I thought it was a creme. It’s such a pretty, bright pink shade with a subtle shimmer and a just hint of duochrome. The name though, Oasis….seriously? Well, I didn’t think much about it until the Spy had a funny look on his face when I told him what the name of this shade was. He said that Oasis makes him think of a green or something close to it, not pink. Thinking about it after he said that, he’s right. But eh, I don’t know what goes on in naming a polish shade when it comes to these cosmetic companies. Sometimes, they’re just downright wacky and doesn’t fit the shade at all.

Sinful Colors Oasis (in shade)

Sinful Colors Oasis (direct sunlight)
Shown is one thicker coat with no top coat. See?! Not all Sinful Colors are sheer!
I was quite happy with that. For a more opaque look, definitely do 2 or more coats. Drying time is fast. I was doing normal, everyday things in almost no time. Formula was a bit funny, which is why I ended up doing one thicker coat of it. It was on the watery side in the sense that applying thin coats is very uneven, so I just did a thicker coat and it worked out well.

Sinful Colors Oasis (close-up shot)

Sinful Colors Oasis (with flash)
See the shimmery goodness and the slight duochrome? Sadly, the duochrome property of this shade is apparent mostly in the bottle. Very pretty still and it is now part of my Sinful Colors nail polish stash. It’s on sale this week for $0.99 at Walgreens, so run to your nearest one and grab this beauty before they sell out of it!
Sinful Colors Hottie
Yes! Another Sinful Colors for you all here today! This is cause Walgreens is having them for $0.99 this week only, so I’m showcasing them to help you decide if you want to stop by your local Walgreens and check it out. This is a shade called Hottie.

Sinful Colors Hottie
Such a pretty blue glitter polish! This one is quite sheer, which makes me think they probably meant for this to be used for layering like a glitter top coat. Either way, it’s such a pretty shade both in and out of the bottle. I won’t lie though, I think it’s prettier in the bottle. There is multi-colored fine glitter and bigger round pieces of glitter. The glitter pieces are holographic, flashing different colors of the rainbow as your finger moves but this is in no way a holographic polish.

Sinful Colors (in shade)

Sinful Colors (direct sunlight)

Sinful Colors (with flash)

Sinful Colors (holographic glitter!)
Look at that! WOW! Being that the formula is on the sheer side and I’m not showing it as a top coat, this is 5 thin layers with no top coat. It goes on the nail very smoothly for thin layers. You can do thicker layers if you want. Drying time is fast, as with most glitter nail polishes.
Have you gotten any Sinful Colors yet this week and what are they?
Sinful Colors Tokyo Pearl
Going along with my excitement that Sinful Colors is on sale this week at Walgreens ($0.99 each!), today I have Tokyo Pearl. Now, I love Sinful Colors to death but can I just say I hate this shade? Wait, let me rephrase that….I like this shade (love, even….it’s so pretty) but I absolutely abhor the application of it. Why? Well, it’s a frost polish and if you are relatively familiar with nail polish you would know exactly what I mean by just that.

Sinful Colors Tokyo Pearl
This shade is the one that was on top of my “if-it-ever-goes-on-sale-again-I’ll-definitely-get-it” list. Well, I dashed to Walgreens after work yesterday and picked up 7 shades. The first I grabbed was Tokyo Pearl. I was so giddy after poring through my list and comparing it to the display. The 2 girls there probably think I’m nuts but they were really nice. Pardon for the dry cuticles….I redid this 5 times. Yes, 5 times! Did I mention earlier that I hate frosts?

Sinful Colors Tokyo Pearl (so pretty but the brush strokes!)
I would lie if I said that I wouldn’t have gotten it even if I knew how problematic the finish was cause it’s too pretty to pass even with the brush stroke dilemma. It’s also worth the 4 coats I applied, as shown, with no top coat. A very pretty, frosty white. Makes me think of snow and winter and even cake (icing, anyone?). It may be a keeper for me still amidst all its shortcomings but think carefully before you get this one cause it might not be worth it to you.
Lucky for us, Sinful Colors makes lots of other shades that you can choose from.
Sinful Colors Forget Now
So….Walgreens is having Sinful Colors on sale for $0.99 this week. I thought this week I’d feature some of my Sinful Colors that I’ve acquired in their last $0.99 sale. For $0.99, these polishes are a steal! The quality is very good. Only downside is a lot of shades tend to be on the sheer side but hey, it’s worth it to me. Plus, I only said lots of shades. Not all. There are some one coaters even! You just have to search here or on other nail blogs to see which shades are sheer or opaque with normal application.

Sinful Colors Forget Now
This is Sinful Colors’ Forget Now. It’s a very pretty, raspberry shade that has glass flecks in it. Yay, glass flecks! Anyone who knows me in person knows that this is one of my favorite types of nail polish. It made me think of China Glaze’s Raspberry Festival but it’s not the same (and even if it is, hey then – I got a cheap dupe!).

It’s so pretty! Even when the formula is leaning towards a bit more watery than I’d like, it gave me no problems at all. Application is smooth and drying time is fast. Shown is 2 coats with no topcoat. If you want a deeper effect, 3 layers should do it.

I know where I’m heading after this post.
Sinful Colors Let’s Meet
Today, I am featuring a color I have never owned before and am not drawn to until recently. Thanks to Walgreens’ super $0.99 Sinful Colors nail polish sale last week, I now own a yellow polish! Here is Sinful Colors’ Let’s Meet.

Sinful Colors Let's Meet
Let’s Meet is a bright, glass fleck yellow polish that is really bright and pretty. I am surprised at how much I actually loved it! It helps that it’s a glass flecked, I will admit to that. I almost passed on it at Walgreens as yellow never interested me much as it’s not one of my favorite colors. But things change, eh?

Isn’t it pretty?! The glass flecks definitely makes the color really shimmery. The formula is pretty thin so it goes on quite sheer but it’s so worth it. Shown is 5 coats with no top coat on (I was in a hurry again, too excited about this one) but look at the gorgeous mustard yellow shimmery goodness it brings! I love yellow. Yes, I am making that official now. Drying time is the usual for glass fleck nail polishes, not too fast and not too slow either….just right. And just so you all know, out of the 4 Walgreens I’ve gone to only the last one had this in and it was the last bottle. Popular color? Maybe so, I can definitely see why.

So, what do you guys think? Have you ever gone to the dark side and got a polish color that you think you would never get and ended up loving it?
Sinful Colors Midnight Blue
In the past Sinful Colors blog entries I’ve had, I kept mentioning that their formula isn’t on the top of most nail lovers’ list. It is said that it tends to be sheer, requiring multiple coats that borderlined inconvenient and time-consuming. Not to mention that more coats means the lacquer gets used up much faster compared to others, which means less bang for your buck. But say no more! Today I have a Sinful Colors shade that can be opaque with just one coat. This is Sinful Colors’ Midnight Blue.

Sinful Colors Midnight Blue
Yes, you heard it right! If you don’t mind applying thicker coats, it completely covers the nail with just that. I did that the first time around but ended up redoing it, as I got too impatient and smudged it. The second time around, I applied 2 thin coats and it covered beautifully. I was aiming for a thin coat originally but this formula is quite streaky and distributed the lacquer unevenly on the nail no matter how many strokes I used, so I just applied it thicker. But yeah, I had to redo it and 2 coats works just as well. See for yourself!

It’s a gorgeous, deep blue that has a lot of shine. Application is painless and drying time is about the same as most nail polishes. It felt longer for me because I’ve been featuring glitter nail polishes lately. Pictures shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat (I was in a hurry, was so excited to feature this shade). I almost passed on this one but I’m so glad that I didn’t. It was one of the last ones I got from last week’s mad shopping spree of mine at Walgreens. Can’t beat $0.99 for a bottle! I ended up getting 39 bottles in one week. I am going back into my swatching cave now, haha!
