L’Oréal Walk On The Beach

Here’s a L’Oréal shade that I posted about recently in a press release post about nail looks at the EMMY’s. The shade is called Walk On The Beach.

L’Oréal Walk On The Beach

Walk On The Beach is a pretty taupe or beige-y creme shade that is both simple and classy. It’s a shade that can be worn any time of the year really. It’s like how the classic red is. Formula is creamy and it applied smoothly onto my nails. The direct sunlight photo is the shot that shows the true color most. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

This should be available generally wherever L’Oréal is retailed.

ZOOEY DESCHANEL
L’ORÉAL PARIS CONSULTING NAIL EXPERT: Tom Bachik
INSPIRATION: Tom and Zooey wanted to keep this look soft and fresh but sparkly, so they went with a soft summer tone personalized with glitter, Swarovski crystals and hand painted TV’s on featured fingers.
STEP-BY-STEP:
-First, Tom used a thin coat of a yellow, topped with a coat of a peachy pink shade to soften the tone
-Using a chunky silver metallic, he chose random areas on the nails and faded the glitter out
-He then applied Swarovski crystals in the glitter areas to create a peach “galaxy”
-Last, Tom hand-painted deco televisions on the thumbs for fun!

Curtain Call: L’Oreal Skin Genesis Deep Purifying Foaming Cream Cleanser

Hey y’all! Hope everyone’s having a nice weekend. I’m taking this weekend easy and posting another segment of Curtain Call. Today, I am featuring a facial cleanser that’s more of a facial scrub really. I had a facial scrub hunt phase last year. I ended up with more than a handful of different facial scrubs, hoping to find one that’s worth of being part of my permanent facial scrub rotation. One of them happened to be L’Oreal Skin Genesis Deep Purifying Foaming Cream Cleanser.

At 5 fl oz / 150 ml, this facial cleanser is an affordable buy for anyone and is readily available at any mass retail or drugstore. It comes packaged in a tube form, as most cleansers are. The front of the packaging indicates that it’s packed “with gently clay and polishing micro-beads” and it promotes “daily cellular renewal for smoother, brighter, fresher skin”. The back of the tube states the following:

“Now, your daily cleanser helps you create smoother, brighter, fresher, skin! Introducing,

SKIN GENESIS DEEP PURIFYING FOAMING CREAM CLEANSER.

With gently purifying clay and micro-beads, it deep cleans skin and gently exfoliates dead skin cells, leaving skin purified and residue free.

With BHA and micro-beads, naturally enhances daily cellular renewal to provide smoother, brighter and fresher skin, while complementing your daily Skin Genesis regimen.

Containing a natural cleansing agent, it gently deep-cleans skin and respects natural skin moisture balance.

Dermatologist tested for gentleness. Non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores). All skin types.”

L'Oreal Skin Genesis Deep Purifying Foaming Cream Cleanser

Verdict? Not bad, but I’ll pass. This is the only cleanser I have ever tried with a decent amount of clay. It suits well for my skin, but it can be drying to those that have more sensitive skin. I did feel the micro-beads, which is a thumbs up in my book. It’s not too little or too much at all for my taste. As a cleanser, it does the job. It leaves my face squeaky clean, but there’s nothing else that makes this facial cleanser stand out. Others may find this facial cleanser texturally different and unexpected if they haven’t used facial cleansers with a decent amount of clay in it.

This product can easily be purchased in various retail and drugstores such as Walmart, Target, ULTA, CVS, and Walgreens. It is also available online at various websites that carry beauty and personal care products.
