Milani Glitzy Glamour Gloss
Hola! Happy Friday y’all! Today’s post is on something I’ve been using for the past few days now. Not bad, I say! Here’s Milani Glitzy Glamour Gloss.

Milani Glitzy Glamour Gloss
These are described as:
- Formula feels smooth and silky, not sticky or tacky
- The colors dazzle lips with hyper-pearl effects
- Sponge-tip wand applicator
- Made in USA
Packaging for this is a bit more bulkier than most lip glosses I’ve used, but it is small enough to slip into even a small clutch or wristlet. The applicator is the doe foot shaped sponge tip that I’ve seen on other lip glosses. It spreads the lip gloss nicely over my lips. The formula is barely sticky – not bad at all. It stays on the lips very well and the color payoff is relatively decent. There are a lot more choices than shown above, so be sure to check them all out and pick the shade you want. It sells at an okay price point. It has a light strawberry scent. These last for about a few hours, but that’s expected for me with a lip gloss. Swatches shown below are for the following shades from left to right: High Status and Show Stopper. For each shade, I dabbed the lip gloss on a teeny bit to show what it looks like clearly.

More Milani Crystal Gloss
Hey guys! I broke all my nails recently, so there won’t be much swatches for at least another week. But this gives me time to focus on other non-nail polish items I have to share with y’all! I actually featured these in an older post, but there are 3 more shades just released. I’ll copy and paste the text of my previous review since it remains unchanged. Here’s Milani Crystal Gloss.

More Milani Crystal Gloss
These are described as:
- A range of fantastic mega-shine colors
- Leaves lips feeling soft and supple
- Sponge-tip wand applicator
- Made in USA
These are very easy to carry and use. It is small enough to slip into even a small clutch or wristlet. The applicator is the spongy tip one that most lip glosses come with, but it is not doe foot shaped. It spreads the lip gloss nicely over my lips. The formula is slightly sticky – perfect consistency to stay on the lips. There are a lot more choices than shown above, so be sure to check them all out and pick the shade you want. It sells at an okay price point. It has a light vanilla scent. These don’t last very long, only a few hours, but that’s expected for me with a lip gloss. Jordana Lip Out Loud Super Shiny Lip Gloss
Hey guys! Taking a small break from polishes to show you guys these nice lip glosses from Jordana. I still think I like their sister company, Milani, better. But they’re not bad at all, really! And at the prices their products are selling for, you might want to check them out. You can get more bang for your buck on lots of their products! Today’s post is about Jordana Lip Out Loud Super Shiny Lip Gloss.

Jordana Lip Out Loud Super Shiny Lip Gloss
These are described as:
- Fun & Flirty Colors
- Patent Leather-Like Shine
- New Slanted Soft Applicator
- Made in USA
These are very easy to use and are similar to the common wand applicator lip glosses out there in the market from various brands. The applicator is what is commonly known as the doe foot applicator. It spreads the lip gloss nicely over my lips. The formula is only slightly sticky – just enough to stay on the lips. There are a lot more choices than shown above, so be sure to check them all out and pick the shade you want. At the price point it sells for though, you can afford to load up on several of them without feeling a huge pinch in the wallet. It has a light cucumber melon or watermelon scent. These don’t last very long, only a few hours, but that’s excpected for me with a lip gloss. Swatches shown below are for the following shades from left to right: OMG, XOXO, BFF, GR8, ASAP, TTYL, BTW, and E-123. For each shade, I dabbed the lip gloss on to show what it looks like clearly.

Jordana Lip Out Loud Super Shiny Lip Gloss (in shade)

Jordana Lip Out Loud Super Shiny Lip Gloss (lighting changed)

Jordana Lip Out Loud Super Shiny Lip Gloss (direct sunlight)
These retail for $1.99 each. I’d gladly pay that price for the shades I like. My picks among those shown would be GR8, ASAP and TTYL. You can get these on their website or at your local Walgreens. A reader mentioned that Jordana is also available at KMart.

Jordana INCOLOR LipShine Glaze Brush On Gloss
This product is like a blast to the past for me. I recall using a similar product from Mark of Avon and actually liked it a lot. I used it til the tube ran dry. Naturally, I can’t help feeling a little bit excited when I came across these. Enter Jordana INCOLOR LipShine Glaze Brush On Gloss.

Jordana INCOLOR LipShine Glaze Brush On Gloss

Jordana INCOLOR LipShine Glaze Brush On Gloss (shot to show the shade names clearly)
These are described as:
- Click Pen – Easy To Use
- Hint of Flavor & Splash of Color
- Vitamin E to Protect Lips; Aloe for Added Moisture
- Made in Canada
These are very easy to use. Just twist the body to get product flowing to the brush tip and apply as needed. A little goes a long way, so keep that in mind when you’re twisting away. You can easily overdo it and will end up with lip gloss dripping out instead. Formula was nice and only slightly sticky on the lips. Huge NOTE here, only slightly sticky!!! I like that it’s not as sticky at all as some lip glosses from other brands can be. It’s just sticky enough to stay on the lips. It provided just a tiny sheen of color on my lips. I had to reapply it after eating or drinking, but that’s expected from this type of product. Lips stay moisturized for the whole duration the product stayed on. There are a variety of scents to choose from and while they are not true to scent, the slight artificialness didn’t put me off at all. Since brushing it onto my arm would look kinda funny, I opted to click a little bit more to get dollops of the product out instead. Swatches below are shown for shades above from bottom to top.

These retail for $1.99 each. Not a bad price at all compared to similar products from other brands (hello Stila, I’m looking at you!). You can get this on their website or at your local Walgreens. A reader mentioned that Jordana is also available at KMart.

N.Y.C. New York Color Liquid Lipshine Nude York City 582
Okay guys, here’s another item from the Influenster Holiday VoxBox 2011 that I got. I have been trying out some lip glosses lately and I put this one to the test as well. I figured why not if I’m on a roll with these so far. Here’s N.Y.C. New York Color Liquid Lipshine Nude York City 582.

N.Y.C. New York Color Liquid Lipshine Nude York City 582
The Influenster insert boasts about this product: “Straight from the city that never sleeps, New York Color’s Liquid Lipshine is uptown style at a down-to-earth price. With pure pigments that create a 3-D gloss effect and vitamin E that provides shine and moisture, this product is perfect to keep lips looking and feeling fabulous this season. Comes in 10 shades from neutral nude, to berries & fuchsias.”

N.Y.C. New York Color Liquid Lipshine Nude York City 582 Swatch
Verdict? This product comes in a standard lip gloss packaging with a doe foot applicator that’s slightly skinnier than the ones I’ve commonly seen from other brands. Formula was good. It applied onto my lips smoothly and I only needed a little bit of product. It left my lips soft with a glossy, shimmery shine with a slight tint of color. There is no stickiness at all compared to other lip gloss brands I’ve used when I put my lips together. It’s slightly stickier to the touch though, just like all other lip glosses I’ve used and tested. There is a light vanilla like scent for this shade I received, Nude York City 582. Not the fake or sickly sweet vanilla scent at all. It lasted for a good 4 hours through talking, some light snacking and sips of water. I would’ve lasted longer if I did none of those. I’d say this is a good buy for the quality and price.
This retails for $2.49 and is available at Walmart, Target, Rite Aid, CVS, Family Dollar, Duane Reade, Kmart, HEB, and others. For a full list of online and in-store retailers, visit www.newyorkcolor.com, where you can download an exclusive coupons and check out what the other shades and products they have!
*Products featured here are complimentary to test through Influenster’s VoxBox program.*
Mattese Elite Lip Gloss Wand Teaser
Not all lip glosses are created equal. I have been trying a particular one out for the past few days and it fared decently according to my needs. Here’s Mattese Elite Lip Gloss Wand in Teaser.

Mattese Elite Lip Gloss Wand Teaser
First look, pretty color. But I was surprised that the applicator is a lip brush wand instead of the more familiar long, slanted applicator known as a doe foot applicator. It does the job well still with the lip brush. The formula is not too thick and it didn’t feel that sticky when applied on the lips. To the touch however, it’s another story. It’s pretty sticky and you’ll have a better chance of removing it with oil-based makeup remover than regular soap and water. That’s what I discovered after taking pictures of the swatch on my arm. Another thing to note is that there is a slight grittiness, very slight, that I felt when I press my lips together and pucker them. The shade is a pretty light pink with beautiful glittery particles, where the grittiness comes from I assume. It’s unscented and comes in a handy tube that’s easy to carry and transport. It lasts for hours if you don’t eat or drink. Being that this is just a lip gloss, I didn’t expect it to survive after such activities. It does what is expected out of a lip gloss for me. For the price tag of $10 though, there are a lot of other brands that you might want to consider before pulling the trigger unless they’re running a sale or promo of some sort and you can score this for a steal.

Jordana INCOLOR Squeeze n’ Shine Super Shiny Tasty Lip Gloss
Hey guys! Today’s post is short and sweet for a full review. With lots of variety and available now at Walgreens, here are some Jordana INCOLOR Squeeze n. Shine Super Shiny Tasty Lip Glosses.

Jordana INCOLOR Squeeze n' Shine Super Shiny Tasty Lip Gloss
These are described as:
- Moisturizing Transparent Tints & Shimmers
- Tube with Slanted Applicator Tip
- Made in USA
These are very easy to use and not too sticky compared to the same product from other brands. The Clear one has no scent or taste and the others smell and taste as expected. They’re all different in terms of what kind of tint and shine it leaves on your lips. Some are more shimmery or tinted than others. They don’t last very long on the lips after activities such as drinking or eating, but that’s expected with a lip gloss really. For the price tag it comes with, not bad at all! From left to right, swatches below are Berry Cute, Be Coralful, Strawberry Icing, Honey Luau, Clear, and Sugar Lips. The lighting for the in shade shot made my skin look so much redder than it really is. Some are really close to each other when swatched. See below for what I mean.

Jordana INCOLOR Squeeze n' Shine Super Shiny Tasty Lip Gloss Swatches

Jordana INCOLOR Squeeze n' Shine Super Shiny Tasty Lip Gloss Swatches (with flash)
These retail for $1.99 each, a great price for each of tube! You can get these on their website or at your local Walgreens. There are 6 other shades to choose from that is not shown above.

Jordana Easyshine Glossy Lip Color
If you guys haven’t noticed, Jordana Cosmetics is now available at Walgreens! I spotted them there 2 weeks back and today I’m going to show you a couple of shades from one of their products, the Easyshine Glossy Lip Color.

Jordana Easyshine Glossy Lip Color

Jordana Easyshine Glossy Lip Color (shot to show shade names)
These are described as:
- Fun Pop Of Color
- High Impact Shine Finish
- The Perfect Combination of Color, Flavor & Shine
- Made in USA
I find these to be a cross between a lipstick and a lip gloss. They are not super opaque or pigmented like lipsticks, but they have more color than tinted lip glosses. There is a good variety to choose from, ranging from matte to shimmery shades. The scent on all of them is not heavy at all and quite pleasant to my nose. The flavor varies. Most of them doesn’t bother me with the exception of Sweet Strawberry surprisingly. It’s not what I thought how it would be compared to strawberry lip products I’ve used before. I barely noticed any scent or flavor with Sugar Cookie. Texture is not sticky at all and it is very moisturizing. It glided dreamily onto my lips during application. Lasting power? I went for 6 hours without having to retouch it at all. If you frequently eat or drink throughout the day, you will have to reapply pretty much each time after that. Shown below are in ascending order of the #s from left to right, which is the opposite in the shots shown above. I labeled them in the first shot below for convenience.

Jordana Easyshine Glossy Lip Color Swatches (direct sunlight)

Jordana Easyshine Glossy Lip Color Swatches (closer shot)
These retail for $1.99 each, cheaper than a lot of other options out there. You can get these on their website or at your local Walgreens. My favorite among these 6? Berry Colada! Not too red, not too pink and has just the right amount of shimmer. ♥
For reference: Sugar Plum, Watermelon Juice and Sweet Strawberry are cremes while Berry Colada, Raspberry and Sugar Cookie are shimmers.

Milani Haute Flash Full Coverage Shimmer Lipgloss
This is one of my favorite lip glosses of all-time. In fact, this is the BEST one I’ve ever tried so far. I first heard about it when it was part of Milani’s July Limited Edition products. I didn’t think much about it and just told myself that I hope they’ll still be around whenever I get to CVS. A few weeks ago, I went into my local CVS and they were clearanced. I snapped them up and snapped up. I tried them, loved them and went back to get some backups and a few for friends. These are called Haute Flash Full Coverage Shimmer Lipgloss.

Milani Haute Flash

Milani Haute Flash (look at the stunning shades)

Milani Haute Flash (with flash)
Pretty, aren’t they? These are super pigmented and provides the full coverage that it claims to bring. It’s pretty thick, but it’s so dense when worn on the lips for how pigmented it is. The color payoff is simply awesome. I loved their Lip Flashes and this is the lip gloss version of it. It comes in 4 different shades: Hot Flash, Flashy, In A Flash, and Star Flash. I don’t detect a particular scent to them really. It comes with a common slanted tip, long applicator to reach product at the bottom of the long, skinny tube. They glide on nice and smooth on the lips. Lasting power of these is impressive. Just like the lip pencils, they stay on forever. They lasted the whole day for me if I am really careful when devouring my lunch. I didn’t even have to do a retouch!

They were carried at CVS drugstores and you may possibly still find them there (on clearance!) if you’re lucky. Otherwise, try nabbing it online on their website under Limited Edition Products. It’s only there until supplies last.

“This collection brings us back to the brand’s heritage, inspired by the essence of self-expression that transformed 1920s Berlin” Joseph Corré, Illamasqua Joint Managing Director
This rich and indulgent collection envelops the senses. Darkly sophisticated tones are accompanied by shocks of dazzling iridescence, creating a breathtakingly modern interpretation of the most illicit nightlife in history.

Milani Lip Flash Full Coverage Shimmer Gloss Pencil
I love lipsticks and lip glosses. There are pros and cons to both. Lipsticks can be very drying, possibly leaving your lips in a not-so-desirable state to look at after a couple of hours or so. Lip glosses can either be sticky or runny, take your pick. At least those are the main cons for me on each type of product. We’re not even going to talk about other factors such as the taste and smell. The way they look is what I love. Lipsticks are generally very pigmented and have this sleek, satiny look. Lip glosses have that dewy, shiny finish. Could there be something in between? Why, yes! Enter Milani Lip Flash Full Coverage Shimmer Gloss Pencil.

Milani Lip Flash

Milani Lip Flash (shot to show shade names)

Milani Lip Flash (with flash)
These are described as “Electrifying lip color. Easy to sharpen.” on the body of the pencil itself. They applied on very smoothly and I love how it looks on my lips. They are all very pigmented with a shimmery, shiny finish. The consistency during application is a dream. It’s literally something between a lipstick and lip gloss. It has the opacity and saturation of a lipstick with a good amount of moisture that’s not sticky or watery. It feels good on my lips and has a glossy finish. And the wear? They stayed on for hours on my lips. I only had to reapply after eating lunch and it’s still on when I got home from work. I work at least 8 hours a day. I am not kidding! The wear is very impressive for my expectations of the product. I detected no smell at all from these.
