Glitter Gal Shade Shifter Evening Light Soft

Hey guys! It’s Thursday today and just like I said earlier in the week…..time sure flies by fast! I’m already looking forward to the weekend. I’ve got lots to swatch and show you guys. Let’s get on with today’s shade first. All the way from Australia, here’s Glitter Gal Shade Shifter Evening Light Soft.

Glitter Gal Shade Shifter Evening Light Soft

Evening Light Soft is a shade from one of their 3 new lines called Shade Shifters. The Shade Shifters line is described as the following:

• Full gloss finish
• Chip resistant, long wearing and quick drying
• Glitter Gal’s shade shifters are similar to those you see on wings of exotic beetles – they transition from one shade to another when viewed from different angles
• There are 2 distinct finishes available for our Shade Shifter range -“Brilliant”- very bright glitter effect showing slightly larger particles; and “Soft” – more smooth polished look with finer particles
• Can be worn of Glitter Gal’s Serpent Black for a more intense colour
• No top coat is required
• “Big 5 Free” – this means they do not contain – Formaldehyde free, DPB free, Toluene free, Formaldehyde Resin or Camphor free

Formula is excellent for this shade and drying time is fast. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

And here is a shot showing 2 thin coats of Evening Light Soft by itself next to 2 thin coats of Evening Light Soft over a layer of Milani Black Swift. Layering it over other shades brings out stunning effects on your nails.

Glitter Gal also offers other beauty items aside from nail polishes. Even though they are based in Australia, they do ship internationally. The nail polishes are priced at AUD$17.95. They are also available on some other nail e-tailers. I am particularly antsy about their new lines that are coming up soon, Shade Shifter and Transitions. So if you’re interested in their nail polishes or other beauty items they offer, feel free to check them out on their website or follow them on Facebook (Glitter Gal Cosmetics), their blog Glitter Gal, or even on Twitter (GlitterGal_Aus)!

Glitter Gal Deep Green

Hey y’all! Today I have a very pretty shade from our friends in Australia, Glitter Gal! This one’s from their Sparkle line. Here’s Glitter Gal Deep Green.

Glitter Gal Deep Green

Holy !!! Yep, that was what went through my head when I put it on. In the bottle, I could tell it’s a very pretty shade. But certainly nothing of this magnitude. I sat there speechless for a good 3 minutes….just staring at my nails of all things! It is stunning, it is rich, it is bold and I am in love with it. I have never given much thought to Glitter Gal’s Sparkle line and this is certainly going to change ASAP! And here’s even more amazing news: shown is one thin coat with no top coat. Yes! A one coater here! And being that this is green, it’d be perfect for my St. Patty’s 5K. ;)

The difference between the Sparkle and the 3D Holographic line seems to lie in the size of the holographic particles. Sparkle shades have larger particles, giving it a more “sparkly/glittery” finish while 3D Holographic shades have finer particles giving it a true “linear/holographic” finish.

Glitter Gal also offers other beauty items aside from nail polishes. Even though they are based in Australia, they do ship internationally. The nail polishes are priced at AUD$9.95.

Glitter Gal 3D Holographic Fuchsia

Today’s post is about a special shade that I absolutely adore! It’s a holographic shade (need I say more?) that’s simply stunning. Here is Glitter Gal’s 3D Holographic Fuchsia.

Glitter Gal 3D Holographic Fuchsia

Wow. Simply stunning. Formula is a bit on the thin side, but that seems to be the case with a lot of holographic shades. It applied very smoothly and gave me no problems. This is 2 thin coats with no top coat. Just look at it.

Glitter Gal 3D Holographic Fuchsia (very holographic!)

This shade is very holographic, which I love. I won this in a lucky dip giveaway a while back. So glad I did! Just look how gorgeous this is! There isn’t that many holographic shades out there like this that are part of any brands’ permanent line, but this is!

They offer lots of other shades too in their holographic line. Which ones are your favorite?

Glitter Gal Most Wanted Red

What better way to start the New Year than with a new shade of polish AND new shoes?! I mentioned before in an earlier blog post about Glitter Gal’s collaboration with Wanted Shoes. For this collaboration, Glitter Gal came up with 6 custom shades to complement this season’s shoe collection. One side of the bottle bears the familiar Glitter Gal logo and the other side bears Wanted Shoes. Today I have for you all Glitter Gal’s Most Wanted Red.

Glitter Gal Most Wanted Red

It shows up more orange-y in the first picture than it really is. See the subsequent pictures for the true color of this shade. This bold, red creme shade is sure to catch everyone’s eye. With the right pair of shoes, this shade would make your whole look stand out of the crowd. Red can go with a variety of colors. The formula for this shade is very creamy and buttery, reminding me of the formula of OPI’s creme shades. It gave me no problems at all and dries pretty fast for a creme shade. Shown is 3 thin coats with no top coat.

Just look at the last picture especially. The formula just looks so smooth and creamy. This red is the staple red shade to have in any nail polish fiend’s collection. It’s like that perfect little black dress that every girl has, only for your nails. This shade is available at Wanted Shoes stores and on Glitter Gal’s website.

Glitter Gal & Wanted Shoes Collaboration

Glitter Gal is pleased to announce a new product release in collaboration with another Australian company, Wanted Shoes.

Glitter Gal & Wanted Shoes Collaboration

“We have collaborated with “Wanted Shoes” and custom created six nail polishes to compliment this season’s shoe collection.”

These shades are limited edition. Look at those bold, hot colors! It makes me think of the bold feminine shades in the 80′s.

Glitter Gal 3D Holographic Copper

Some of you may be familiar already with the lovely Australian beauty brand, Glitter Gal. For those who are not, you are in for a treat today! Glitter Gal is a cosmetics company founded by 2 best friends (Anna and Kerry) who have this huge passion for the brand they created. I have had the opportunity to try one of their products and I am pleased to say the results are sparklingly (I don’t think that is even a word, but I feel that it flows) stunning. :) Just one of 27 (so far) shades, this is Glitter Gal’s 3D Holographic Copper.

Glitter Gal 3D Holographic Copper

Wow….that’s all I can say when I looked at this picture up close. As you all know, I am a huge fan (and sucker) of holographic polishes. It is one of my favorite types of nail polish. Glitter Gal did not disappoint! You know how there are some holographic shades out there from other brands that has a bit of holographic effect? I like those too, but nothing beats a full holographic polish such as this one! Just look at the gorgeous shimmer! I just COULD NOT stop staring at my nails. I was mesmerized by it. Here are a few more shots for your viewing pleasure and enjoyment.

Shown is 3 thin coats with no top coat. The formula is super smooth and easy to apply. It doesn’t dry as fast as some other brands of holographic nail polishes, but I find that preferable actually. It gives me time to spread each coat nicely, as opposed to drying too fast and end up with patchy applications (then having to redo it all over again). I have no complaints about it at all being that the drying time is fast. The holographic effect is deep and apparent. The color itself doesn’t scream copper to me, but heck, I don’t care. They can call it whatever they want for all I care. I’d still lust after this shade. The kicker is they have more! They have a really red holo and their blue and green ones look luscious! Very nice.

Glitter Gal also offers other beauty items aside from nail polishes. Even though they are based in Australia, they do ship internationally. The nail polishes are priced at AUD$9.95. I really wish they were offered locally here in the US. I think they’d be a big hit! I mean, who doesn’t love holos?! They also have other shades aside from holos, but I have to admit that their holos are the ones I gravitate to. So if you’re interested in their nail polishes or other beauty items they offer, feel free to check them out on their website or follow them on Facebook (Glitter Gal Cosmetics), their blog Glitter Gal, or even on Twitter (GlitterGal_Aus)!
