Sinful Colors

Sinful Colors Neptune

My latest Sinful Colors find took me by surprise. I finally saw the Cast Away display even though some of the shades are long gone already. But I was lucky enough to score this one. Here’s Sinful Colors Neptune.

Sinful Colors Neptune

Ooooh! Exactly! That’s what went through my head when I saw this shade. I scored Zeus just a few days ago, but I swear the display wasn’t out yet or else I’d have gotten this too! I want to say that this shade has a glass fleck finish, but I honestly don’t know anymore. Some call this type of finish foil, but it doesn’t even look like foil so I’m going with glass fleck. You can see the little flecks in this blue shade anyway. Formula is on the watery side, but I managed to get in on nicely still. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

My camera lighting changes every few shots sometimes and this shade is simply too pretty not to include all the pictures I’ve taken of it so….:)

Have you checked out your Walgreens lately?

Sinful Colors Daredevil

Today I have another Sinful Colors shade for you guys. This one’s one of the newer shades and it’s my favorite! The name suits it well too! Here’s Sinful Colors Daredevil.

Sinful Colors Daredevil

Wow! Yowza! That’s all I can really say about this hot pink shimmer. I love it. It’s so bright and the color just pops. Definitely a keeper for me. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

It’s part of their permanent display, so this is sticking around for a while. Lovely, eh? :)

Sinful Colors Zeus

I picked this shade up last night when I was trying to get the last of what I needed from Sinful Colors on the $0.99 sale at Walgreens. It didn’t sound familiar to me and so it followed me home. Here’s Sinful Colors Zeus.

Sinful Colors Zeus

I don’t think it’s one of the new shades in the core collection, but it does remind me a bit of a franken I made (called Grape Sorbet) with a shade in their core collection called Fiji. Formula was pretty good. This shade isn’t as sheer as how some Sinful Colors shades could be, but it isn’t one of the most opaque ones I’ve tried from them. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Sinful Colors Zeus (in shade)

Sinful Colors Zeus (direct sunlight)

Sinful Colors Zeus (close-up)

Too bad it’s not a duochrome like I thought it might be. Just a little pink flash here and there. :)

Sinful Colors Amethyst

I just got back from the last of my Walgreens run this week to take advantage of the $0.99 Sinful Colors sale as well as getting some of the Revlon scented shades that were recently spotted everywhere (spend $3.99 and get $3 in Registered Rewards to use on your next purchase!). Well, today’s run was even more fun cause the Revlons I got rang up for $2.87 before tax. Sweet! I grabbed all the Sinful Colors I can find that I wanted and one of those that came home with me is Amethyst.

Sinful Colors Amethyst

Amethyst was spotted in a display for their Go Plaid Collection. I know that the display had 4 shades and the only other one I even bothered to look at was a green creme called Envy. Formula for this purple creme is pretty opaque. Just one coat honey! I thought about using thinner coats for this one, but it seemed pretty opaque so I went with one slightly thicker coat.

Some Walgreens are open 24 hours a day, so it’s definitely not too late to get in on this deal last-minute!

Sinful Colors Queen Of Beauty

OMG y’all! I have great news if you’re a Sinful Colors nail lacquer lover or simply someone that have been wanting to try them out. This week, Walgreens is having them on sale for $0.99 each! I have been waiting for this sale to score some shades that I’ve been pining on. This sale will definitely motivate me to stop by at the 2 Walgreens in my area! To kick things off, here’s one of my Sinful Colors shade from my stash called Queen Of Beauty.

Sinful Colors Queen Of Beauty

Glittah!!! Y’all know I’m a huge glitter fan, but this is actually one of the last few Sinful Colors shades I got. Why? Well, they have other glitter shades that are more interesting like Hottie or Pinky Glitter, just to name a few. I eventually got to this silver glitter beauty. Formula was a teeny bit on the thin side, but gave me no problems during application. Drying time for this is longer than I expected for a glitter shade. Definitely use more coats for opacity. Shown is 4 thin coats with no top coat.

I’m hoping mine still have the neon ones that came out not too long ago. I usually don’t pick up any from this brand until they go on a sale like this.

Sinful Colors Scandal

Happy Valentine’s Day! In celebration of today’s occasion, I have a wonderful shade from Sinful Colors that is absolutely perfect for it. This is Sinful Colors’ Scandal.

Sinful Colors Scandal

Described as “no-nonsense neon, slick and sensational”, I say it lives up to that description! This wonderful shade is bright but not blinding. It’s fun, flirty and cute….perfect for this day! The formula for this is smooth and creamy. It applied like a dream. Drying time is speedy. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

This would be a perfect base shade too for doing nail art and stamping.

Sinful Colors is available at various retailers and drugstores such as Walmart, Target, CVS, and Walgreens. They’re usually priced at $1.99 but you can score some for as low as $0.99 each when there is a BOGO promo or some special pricing on these.

Sinful Colors Soul Mate

This shade is described as a “muted peachy pink with a melon twist” and I have to say that is spot on! One of Sinful Colors’ Valentine’s offering is a shade named Soul Mate.

Sinful Colors Soul Mate

I didn’t like this shade as much as the other pinks that Sinful Colors offers, but I do like it more than I thought I would (so that’s a plus!). This peachy pink creme is perfect for a subtle color on the nails to match your Valentine’s Day outfit. The formula for this shade is beautiful. It applied wonderfully on my nails and dried pretty fast for a creme shade. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Sinful Colors Boom Boom

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. What better way to complete your Valentine’s Day outfit than with a themed mani? No need to go all out with some crazy nail art. Simple Valentine’s shades would suffice. Keeping it simple seems a good way to go and a perfect shade for the occasion is Sinful Colors’ Boom Boom.

Sinful Colors Boom Boom

Boom Boom is a stunning, bold pink shade that will surely make your nails pop. The formula for this shade is smooth and creamy. It gave me no problems during application at all. Drying time is fast for a creme shade. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Sinful Colors Pretty-In-Pink Collection

Sinful Colors is coming out with their Valentine’s offerings! Read on!

EDIT: Glass Pink swatch here, Boom Boom swatch here, Scandal swatch here, and Soul Mate swatch here.

Sinful Colors Pretty-In-Pink Collection

I see some shades I am not familiar with at all! Out of all of these, I have only seen Glass Pink in person. I’m so excited to see these in CVS or Walgreens! I have been wondering how often do they change their display in those stores. This will be a welcomed change. I sure hope half of these shades are quite opaque!

Sinful Colors Glass Pink

We’re halfway through the month of October! I’m featuring all different shades of pink polishes throughout the rest of this month for Breast Cancer Awareness. A pretty light pink shade that’s a favorite of mine from Sinful Colors is Glass Pink.

Sinful Colors Glass Pink

Oh yes, this is a very shimmery shade. But wait! It is a light pretty pink shade that is packed with glass flecked glitter! YAY! Glass fleck polishes are one of my favorite types and I could not pass this up when Sinful Colors was on sale for $0.99 at Walgreens a while back. This prompty came home with me. Just look at how light and pretty this pink is! It’s definitely work and school safe but it’s fun as well with all the shimmer it brings from the glass fleck glitter!

Sinful Colors Glass Pink (in shade)

Sinful Colors Glass Pink (direct sunlight)

See what I mean by it being packed with glass flecks?! Shown is 3 thin coats with no top coat. The formula is nice and smooth but the familiar known issue of opacity with lots of Sinful Colors shades is very apparent with this one. I can see, however, that maybe this shade is meant to bear the opacity that it has. Other darker shades from Sinful Colors though, I will admit that the expectation of seeing the color just by looking at the bottle is to be more opaque than it really is.

Sinful Colors Let Me Go

This is the last day you can get Sinful Colors nail polish at Walgreens for $0.99 each! I’ve been featuring a Sinful Colors shade each day since Monday this week, in hopes that it might help some of you guys in deciding if you like the shade on your nails or not. Today, I have Let Me Go.

Sinful Colors Let Me Go

This is a very pretty duochrome polish. I picked this up a few weeks ago when Walgreens had it for $0.99 each (they have it at this price every so often, I think). There are other 2 duochromes I picked up on the same trip but this shade is the one with the strongest duochrome effect. At least by just looking at the bottle. You can see the lavender, silver, and pink with some blue and green in this shade.

Sinful Colors Let Me Go (in shade)

Sinful Colors Let Me Go (direct sunlight)

Sinfu Colors Let Me Go (close-up)

Please excuse the dry skin. The ever-changing weather here in Oklahoma does take a toll on my skin. Shown in pictures is 3 thin coats with no top coat. Sadly, just like Oasis, it’s a very pretty shade but the duochrome effect doesn’t come through strong enough for my liking. It is very evident in the bottle but not so much on the nails. Hopefully, the next duochrome shade from Sinful Colors that I will swatch is better at this. The formula is smooth, bearing a little bit of the frost nail polish property of streaky brush strokes. This particular shade is quite sheer too, but most duochromes are quite sheer as well. Drying time is pretty fast for Sinful Colors.

Last day today until whenever they do this sale again, ladies! Go get your Sinful Colors now if you haven’t yet.

Sinful Colors San Francisco

Concluding this work week, I have Sinful Colors’ San Francisco. This is one of their most talked about shade. This is the very first shade I heard of with any mention of Sinful Colors in the nail blogging world.

Sinful Colors San Francisco

It’s a rich, pretty green that has a deep shimmer to it. It is very vibrant and bold. Whenever I pick up this bottle, I can’t help but think of the song “San Francisco” sung by Scott McKenzie. Weird thing is, when I was at Walgreens a few week back when they were having the $0.99 sale for Sinful Colors….that song was playing in the store and I was showing that bottle to the Spy. I took it as a sign and bought it on that trip.

Sinful Colors San Francisco (in shade)

Sinful Colors San Francisco (direct sunlight)

Sinful Colors San Francisco (another angle)

Sinful Colors San Francisco (with flash)

The formula is a quite watery. It’s the most watery Sinful Colors shade I’ve tried so far. The first coat just puddles out in an uneven application, no matter how hard I try. I tend to apply pretty thin coats too. I’ll try applying a super thin coat next time I use this polish. Shown is 3 thin coats with no top coat. Drying time is slower than other Sinful Colors shades I’ve tried, probably due to the watery formula. It might just be the batch my bottle came from though, so don’t let this part of my review discourage you from getting this beautiful shade.

Sinful Colors San Francisco (close-up)

Last day of this $0.99 sale at Walgreens is tomorrow. Grab them when you can!

Sinful Colors Oasis

First look of this, I passed on it. That was the week I went mad and stocked up on 39 Sinful Colors from Walgreens for $0.99 each. Well, I returned earlier this week to get the ones I missed out on last time cause they were on sale for $0.99 each. I ALMOST passed on this one again! But I picked up every bottle that wasn’t creme (not my favorite nail enamel finish) and dropped it into my shopping basket. I picked this up thinking it was a creme but I was wrong. It’s a shimmer with a very slight duochrome. Duochrome!!! In to the basket it went. Without further ado, this is Sinful Colors’ Oasis.

Sinful Colors Oasis

You can barely see the shimmer in the picture. I know, that’s why I thought it was a creme. It’s such a pretty, bright pink shade with a subtle shimmer and a just hint of duochrome. The name though, Oasis….seriously? Well, I didn’t think much about it until the Spy had a funny look on his face when I told him what the name of this shade was. He said that Oasis makes him think of a green or something close to it, not pink. Thinking about it after he said that, he’s right. But eh, I don’t know what goes on in naming a polish shade when it comes to these cosmetic companies. Sometimes, they’re just downright wacky and doesn’t fit the shade at all.

Sinful Colors Oasis (in shade)

Sinful Colors Oasis (direct sunlight)

Shown is one thicker coat with no top coat. See?! Not all Sinful Colors are sheer! :) I was quite happy with that. For a more opaque look, definitely do 2 or more coats. Drying time is fast. I was doing normal, everyday things in almost no time. Formula was a bit funny, which is why I ended up doing one thicker coat of it. It was on the watery side in the sense that applying thin coats is very uneven, so I just did a thicker coat and it worked out well.

Sinful Colors Oasis (close-up shot)

Sinful Colors Oasis (with flash)

See the shimmery goodness and the slight duochrome? Sadly, the duochrome property of this shade is apparent mostly in the bottle. Very pretty still and it is now part of my Sinful Colors nail polish stash. It’s on sale this week for $0.99 at Walgreens, so run to your nearest one and grab this beauty before they sell out of it!

Sinful Colors Hottie

Yes! Another Sinful Colors for you all here today! This is cause Walgreens is having them for $0.99 this week only, so I’m showcasing them to help you decide if you want to stop by your local Walgreens and check it out. This is a shade called Hottie.

Sinful Colors Hottie

Such a pretty blue glitter polish! This one is quite sheer, which makes me think they probably meant for this to be used for layering like a glitter top coat. Either way, it’s such a pretty shade both in and out of the bottle. I won’t lie though, I think it’s prettier in the bottle. There is multi-colored fine glitter and bigger round pieces of glitter. The glitter pieces are holographic, flashing different colors of the rainbow as your finger moves but this is in no way a holographic polish.

Sinful Colors (in shade)

Sinful Colors (direct sunlight)

Sinful Colors (with flash)

Sinful Colors (holographic glitter!)

Look at that! WOW! Being that the formula is on the sheer side and I’m not showing it as a top coat, this is 5 thin layers with no top coat. It goes on the nail very smoothly for thin layers. You can do thicker layers if you want. Drying time is fast, as with most glitter nail polishes.

Have you gotten any Sinful Colors yet this week and what are they?

Sinful Colors Tokyo Pearl

Going along with my excitement that Sinful Colors is on sale this week at Walgreens ($0.99 each!), today I have Tokyo Pearl. Now, I love Sinful Colors to death but can I just say I hate this shade? Wait, let me rephrase that….I like this shade (love, even….it’s so pretty) but I absolutely abhor the application of it. Why? Well, it’s a frost polish and if you are relatively familiar with nail polish you would know exactly what I mean by just that.

Sinful Colors Tokyo Pearl

This shade is the one that was on top of my “if-it-ever-goes-on-sale-again-I’ll-definitely-get-it” list. Well, I dashed to Walgreens after work yesterday and picked up 7 shades. The first I grabbed was Tokyo Pearl. I was so giddy after poring through my list and comparing it to the display. The 2 girls there probably think I’m nuts but they were really nice. Pardon for the dry cuticles….I redid this 5 times. Yes, 5 times! Did I mention earlier that I hate frosts?

Sinful Colors Tokyo Pearl (in shade)

Sinful Colors Tokyo Pearl (with flash)

Sinful Colors Tokyo Pearl (so pretty but the brush strokes!)

I would lie if I said that I wouldn’t have gotten it even if I knew how problematic the finish was cause it’s too pretty to pass even with the brush stroke dilemma. It’s also worth the 4 coats I applied, as shown, with no top coat. A very pretty, frosty white. Makes me think of snow and winter and even cake (icing, anyone?). It may be a keeper for me still amidst all its shortcomings but think carefully before you get this one cause it might not be worth it to you.

Lucky for us, Sinful Colors makes lots of other shades that you can choose from.

Sinful Colors Forget Now

So….Walgreens is having Sinful Colors on sale for $0.99 this week. I thought this week I’d feature some of my Sinful Colors that I’ve acquired in their last $0.99 sale. For $0.99, these polishes are a steal! The quality is very good. Only downside is a lot of shades tend to be on the sheer side but hey, it’s worth it to me. Plus, I only said lots of shades. Not all. There are some one coaters even! You just have to search here or on other nail blogs to see which shades are sheer or opaque with normal application.

Sinful Colors Forget Now

This is Sinful Colors’ Forget Now. It’s a very pretty, raspberry shade that has glass flecks in it. Yay, glass flecks! Anyone who knows me in person knows that this is one of my favorite types of nail polish. It made me think of China Glaze’s Raspberry Festival but it’s not the same (and even if it is, hey then – I got a cheap dupe!).

Sinful Colors Forget Now (in shade)

Sinful Colors Forget Now (direct sunlight)

Sinful Colors Forget Now (with flash)

It’s so pretty! Even when the formula is leaning towards a bit more watery than I’d like, it gave me no problems at all. Application is smooth and drying time is fast. Shown is 2 coats with no topcoat. If you want a deeper effect, 3 layers should do it.

Sinful Colors Forget Now (look at all the glass flecks!)

I know where I’m heading after this post. :)

Sinful Colors Let’s Talk

One of the most vivid shades out there right now by Sinful Colors is Let’s Talk. Let’s Talk is a very pigmented, dark purplish violet shimmer. It does bear a slight foil lacquer property, the dreaded brush stroke visibility. You’ll see it more clearly in some of the pictures.

Sinful Colors Let's Talk

This shade is hot. It’s vey bold and luscious. To me, it gives of an understated sexy vibe. Unlike a lot of Sinful Colors nail lacquers, this shade is quite pigmented. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat. The drying time is pretty fast compared to most polishes, which left me quite pleased.

Sinful Colors Let's Talk (direct sunlight)

Sinful Colors Let's Talk (with flash)

I had the hardest time capturing the true color of this shade. It appears more blue in the pictures than it really is.

Sinful Colors Let's Talk (less blue than as shown above when seen in person)

The next picture I have shows its true color more but it’s not a great shot by all means. I had to do a lot of takes and positioning for it and this is the only one that turned out well. It looks more purple in this than all the other shots.

Sinful Colors Let's Talk (shows true color better)

This shade is still available at retailers such as Walgreens, Target, and Walmart (I think they do carry them), just to name a few.

Sinful Colors Cloud 9

After featuring a bunch of darker colored shades, I thought I’d change it up a bit here. I loaded up on a bunch of Sinful Colors about a month ago or so when they were going for $0.99 at Walgreens. One of the colors I was hesitant to pick up was Cloud 9.

Sinful Colors Cloud 9

This shade reminds me of sweet, ripe oranges. It’s so pretty and what prompted me to get it was the fact that the shade is glass flecked! I caved in and got it because it is a glass fleck polish. The color is so rich and vibrant. The orange color is not too light or dark; it’s perfect.

Sinful Colors Cloud 9 (in shade)

Sinful Colors Cloud 9 (direct sunlight)

Sinful Colors Cloud 9 (look at the glass flecks!)

Shown in 4 thin coats with no top coat. The glass fleck shimmer is evident but stronger under direct sunlight. It makes the whole nail glow in a way. It’s a very pretty color that pops out at you especially with clothes that complements that shade. Drying time is pretty standard and the formula is just perfect. It goes on very smoothly and I experienced no clumping or anything similar to it.

Sinful Colors Cloud 9 (last shot)

This is one of the few shades that I surprisingly liked. Not sure how long Sinful Colors will have this in their current line but you can always check your local Walgreens or other retailers that carry them, such as Target.

Sinful Colors Let’s Meet

Today, I am featuring a color I have never owned before and am not drawn to until recently. Thanks to Walgreens’ super $0.99 Sinful Colors nail polish sale last week, I now own a yellow polish! Here is Sinful Colors’ Let’s Meet.

Sinful Colors Let's Meet

Let’s Meet is a bright, glass fleck yellow polish that is really bright and pretty. I am surprised at how much I actually loved it! It helps that it’s a glass flecked, I will admit to that. I almost passed on it at Walgreens as yellow never interested me much as it’s not one of my favorite colors. But things change, eh?

Sinful Colors Let's Meet (in shade)

Sinful Colors Let's Meet (direct sunlight)

Sinful Colors Let's Meet (lighting changed)

Isn’t it pretty?! The glass flecks definitely makes the color really shimmery. The formula is pretty thin so it goes on quite sheer but it’s so worth it. Shown is 5 coats with no top coat on (I was in a hurry again, too excited about this one) but look at the gorgeous mustard yellow shimmery goodness it brings! I love yellow. Yes, I am making that official now. Drying time is the usual for glass fleck nail polishes, not too fast and not too slow either….just right. And just so you all know, out of the 4 Walgreens I’ve gone to only the last one had this in and it was the last bottle. Popular color? Maybe so, I can definitely see why.

Sinful Colors Let's Meet (look at the glass flecks!)

So, what do you guys think? Have you ever gone to the dark side and got a polish color that you think you would never get and ended up loving it?

Sinful Colors Midnight Blue

In the past Sinful Colors blog entries I’ve had, I kept mentioning that their formula isn’t on the top of most nail lovers’ list. It is said that it tends to be sheer, requiring multiple coats that borderlined inconvenient and time-consuming. Not to mention that more coats means the lacquer gets used up much faster compared to others, which means less bang for your buck. But say no more! Today I have a Sinful Colors shade that can be opaque with just one coat. This is Sinful Colors’ Midnight Blue.

Sinful Colors Midnight Blue

Yes, you heard it right! If you don’t mind applying thicker coats, it completely covers the nail with just that. I did that the first time around but ended up redoing it, as I got too impatient and smudged it. The second time around, I applied 2 thin coats and it covered beautifully. I was aiming for a thin coat originally but this formula is quite streaky and distributed the lacquer unevenly on the nail no matter how many strokes I used, so I just applied it thicker. But yeah, I had to redo it and 2 coats works just as well. See for yourself!

Sinful Colors Midnight Blue (in shade)

Sinful Colors Midnight Blue (with flash)

It’s a gorgeous, deep blue that has a lot of shine. Application is painless and drying time is about the same as most nail polishes. It felt longer for me because I’ve been featuring glitter nail polishes lately. Pictures shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat (I was in a hurry, was so excited to feature this shade). I almost passed on this one but I’m so glad that I didn’t. It was one of the last ones I got from last week’s mad shopping spree of mine at Walgreens. Can’t beat $0.99 for a bottle! I ended up getting 39 bottles in one week. I am going back into my swatching cave now, haha!

Sinful Colors Daddy’s Girl

I stopped by Walgreens (yet again) and stocked up on other shades from Sinful Colors I might like. For $0.99, there wasn’t much to think about when making the purchase. I don’t know how many times I’ve been back to Walgreens (I know for sure I made 7 transactions so far cause the limit is 3 each and I have 21 since Sunday but sometimes I have the Spy with me so sometimes I got 6 at a trip) but I almost got every single shade I could possibly want that’s available there right now. In continuation of spreading the word about their wonderful deal this week, I have swatched Sinful Colors’ Daddy’s Girl.

Sinful Colors Daddy's Girl

Daddy’s Girl is a very pretty dark purple glitter shade that almost has a glass flecked look to it but the glitter isn’t glassy (clear or diamond like, which gives the glassy look). The glitter in the lacquer is hovering between silver and gold but it’s not chunky or large. I honestly can’t tell if it’s silver or gold but it’s very pretty. It’s not as packed with glitter as other shades from Sinful Colors so the formula went on my nail plate really smooth, I feel no bumps at all after the nail color application. I have included several more pictures in different angles and different shades of lighting to capture the best that I can what this shade looks like.

Sinful Colors Daddy's Girl (direct sunlight)

Sinful Colors Daddy's Girl (with flash)

Sinful Colors Daddy's Girl (look at the almost glass flecked look!)

As with most Sinful Colors nail polish, it goes on very sheer. Shown in the pictures is 4 thin coats with a thin layer of Nail Tek II as my top coat. It is very pretty by itself if you have the patience to apply several coats. The first coat that went on wasn’t really that promising. The formula didn’t allow an even application on the first coat so there were parts of my nail plate that had more nail polish even when I tried to even it out. It got better with each coat afterwards and the result of 4 coats is really quite stunning. It made me realize what others have been raving about with this particular shade even when the formula was giving them trouble. I haven’t tried layering with this shade but I’ve seen others have done it and this shade layers very well.

The Walgreens coupon that ends up ringing each of these babies at $0.99 is only good until Saturday. Grab them while you can. I noticed that the Sinful Colors display at the Walgreens I went to looks more and more bare as the days go on.

Sinful Colors Pinky Glitter

This week, Walgreens is having a special on Sinful Colors nail polish. They come out to $0.99 for each bottle (regularly at $1.99 each) with the Walgreens coupon found in their weekly ad flyer. It does have a buying limit of 3 so I begged my Spy to take me there after Service on Sunday (so we got 3 each). I also stopped by at the closest one by where I live yesterday (got 3 more) as there were more than 6 that I actually wanted. The coupon is located on the bottom left corner of page 10 on my copy of the ad flyer but it may be placed on a different spot in yours. I didn’t verify if this offer is regional (Walgreens and other drugstores have issued regional deals on their weekly ad flyers before). I hopped on this chance to grab some that piqued my interest. I am a sucker for glitters among other types of polishes (like holos!!!) and I’ve read feedback on Sinful Colors nail polishes, which contributed to the selection I made. The general consensus is that they tend to be on the sheer side, with some stating they needed at least 3 coats on most shades. Some complained about their formula, described as being gloopy somewhat. I decided to skip the sheerness problem by making my selection all glitter based. This way, I won’t be disappointed if it comes out being sheer as a good number of glitter polishes are sheer and are often meant to be used to layer on other opaque colors. Out of the 9 I got so far, Pinky Glitter is one of my favorites.

Sinful Colors Pinky Glitter

Pinky Glitter actually reminds me of some of the shades from China Glaze’s Specialty Glitter line. There are at least other 2 shades I picked out from Sinful Colors that have the same type of glitter (Nail Junkie and Hottie). It’s packed with glitter. There’s at least 2 different sized glitters that are holographic. The larger type of glitter flashes off a rainbow of colors when the light hits the glitter pieces very well. Very pretty! I am including several shots of this in different shades of lighting. Hope this helps someone decide if this is a shade for them or not.

The formula is not as smooth as the other ones I purchased (it’s all over the board really as I’ve had some that are really watery/runny, a few that went on the nail plate nicely, and a few that are thicker) but this is not the gloopiest one either. I can see what other nail polish lovers meant when they said they didn’t like their formula. Pictured here is 4 thin coats. I wanted it to really dry in between coats so I applied thinner coats. Drying time was really fast and I applied a layer of Nail Tek II on it as my top coat.

The price is definitely hot this week (just like the weather, haha!) so hit your local Walgreens and see what other shades they may have that would appeal to you in addition to this beauty. For $0.99, it’s not like you’re going to break the bank especially if you’ve been lemming for some of the similar glitter based shades from China Glaze’s Specialty Glitters line.
