Milani Ultrafine Liquid Eye Liner
Today’s post is on a Milani Ultrafine Liquid Eye Liner.

Milani Ultrafine Liquid Eye Liner
These are described as:
- Sparkling intense color
- Long-lasting
- Waterproof formula
- Easy to use
- Felt-tip applicator
Y’all know that I am not a huge fan of liquid eye liners. I’ve tried many, many brands with different formulas and applicators and it always ends up in disappointment. My main problem is I like to apply eye liner on my waterline. With liquid eye liner, the moment that the eye liner touches any part of the eye really….it just spreads the eye liner all over the eye area. There was a liquid eye liner that I had high hopes for and it was in an awesome silver shade. But no, my eye is covered with a thin layer of silver liquid eye liner. I scrambled to the bathroom to rinse my eye out. I was bracing myself for such an experience again with these. I am happy to report though that this will be the first liquid eye liners that I am keeping to use! The tip is really fine and made application a breeze. I felt that I had more control with the application this time around. The formula is very pigmented with a super opaque payoff. It dries pretty fast and the finish for all shades are sparkly or glittery with the exception of Black Vinyl. All 5 shades are perfect for day or night, but I’d stick to the basic shades for work. A co-worker friend commented that Sparkling Turquoise and Emerald Glisten are more suitable for outside of work, but this is after I decided to apply a thicker line instead of staying with the thin line I usually go for. It actually took her a while to notice that I had it one when I applied a thin line of it. Prismatic Purple is an in-between shade….I think that you can get away with wearing it to the office for sure.
Staying power is good, but it falls a teeny bit short on the waterproof claim. After 6 hours, there is a little bit of flaking. One thing that would definitely help is not applying several layers or thicker layers of the liquid eye liner. I modified this and didn’t have a problem ever since aside from some wear after 6 hours or so. That is expected in my opinion though. The lid area will always have the grease issue over time and the waterline area will always have general wear being where it is at. Overall, a winner in my book. Swatches shown below are in ascending numeric order of the shades available. For each shade, I applied the liquid eye liner onto my arm twice to show what it looks like when I apply it on my upper lashline or waterline.

Milani Textured Creams Swatches
Won’t ramble much about these. All are 2 coats with no top coat. All are very easy to apply and dried pretty fast. Formula is consistent on all shades, which is on the watery side, except for Tainted In Red. This is evident on the first coat, but any concerns or worries you may have with regards to this will be washed away with the second coat. Definitely need at least 2 coats for the proper texture effect. And as you may have guessed it right, do let current layer or coating dry completely before applying the next coat. This prevents dragging that results in patchy spots. Here are the swatches for Milani Textured Creams Swatches.
Here’s Shady Gray.

I didn’t like the colors that much honestly when I first saw the press release here. But these are very opaque, bold and pretty bright. Perfect for summer. It screams fun and playfulness. A win from Milani I say! My favorite is Spoiled In Fuchsia, Yellow Mark and Aqua Splash. Some shades look even better with another coat like Aqua Splash.
These retail for $4.99 each and should now be available in retail stores where Milani is sold. They are on sale right now for $2.49 on their website right now!

Milani Color Statement Lipliner
I didn’t think much about these honestly when I first saw the press release here. I was more interested at the lipsticks really. Make no mistake though – these hold on their own. Here’s my take on Milani Color Statement Lipliner.

Milani Color Statement Lipliner

Milani Color Statement Lipliner (shot to show shade names)
These are described as:
- Satin color in one stroke application
- Long-wearing, easy-glide formula
I find these lip liners extremely easy to apply. Formula is great and very pigmented. Color payoff is very impressive: opaque with just one stroke. It is definitely long-wearing as promised. I typically don’t use lip liners when I wear lipstick, but these are so easy and good that I’ve started making it a habit. There are 8 shades to choose from and you can either use one that is closest to the lipstick you wish to use or you can use the one closest to your natural lip color and that should work for any lipstick shade you wish to use. Swatches shown below are in ascending numeric order of the shades available. For each shade, I drew the lip liner on in a thicker line to swatch as it looks better than just as several thin lines.

Milani Color Statement Lipstick Naturals & Browns
Hey guys! This is the last set of shades I have for review. I actually ended up liking this set the most (as do my man’s dog!) cause there are a few that are quite flattering against my skin tone when I thought none would work on me. Read on for my review and swatches on the Milani Color Statement Lipstick Natural & Brown shades.

Milani Color Statement Lipstick Naturals & Browns

Milani Color Statement Lipstick Naturals & Browns (direct sunlight)
These are described as:
- One stroke, full coverage application
- Lightweight, creamy formula
- Contains Vitamins A, C & E to moisturize lips
The formula for these is very smooth and creamy. These are very well pigmented with a super opaque payoff and not waxy at all. With my last review on the Plums & Berries feeling like the formula isn’t as creamy, this is not the case with these shades. The shades are quite surprisingly complementary to my skin tone. My man like this group the most on me I think. The darker shades will be harder for me to wear but there are only 2 of those that fall in that bucket for me. With these, there is no flaking or cracking that I get with some other lipsticks I’ve tried in the past. The finish for these shades vary from cream to pearl to metallic and shimmer. For a match up on what type of finish each shade is, see my press release post on this here. All 9 shades are perfect for day or night. Staying power is very impressive as usual. There is barely any wear at all throughout the day except for times when I have to consume food or take a drink. Swatches shown below are in ascending numeric order of the shades available in the naturals & browns category. For each shade, I applied 2 slow strokes onto my arm since one stroke was barely visible for the first shade. For the middle shade, Candied Toffees, I had to use a lip brush to apply the color onto my arm. There’s a funny story to it actually.

And here’s a few shots of what happened to the shade Candied Toffees when I got home one day….

Milani Color Statement Lipstick Candied Toffees R.I.P.

Milani Color Statement Lipstick Candied Toffees R.I.P. (cap off)
The cap off shot is what greeted me first. He managed to chew the cap and dislodge it. I assumed he detected the same smell he sniffed before that was on my lips and thought “Hmmm…..this smells good like food and I’ve detected this scent on her mouth before!”
My man has told me before it smells like strawberries or something like it and I don’t doubt that his dog thought so too! The only thing I ended up doing is facing the dog wailing “Why?! Why this shade? It looks good on me! Why not this or this?!” See? Even dogs love them too! But in all seriousness, best to keep them out of reach from our furry friends! He attempted to chew through several tubes in this group before emerging successful with Candied Toffees.

Milani Eyeshadow Primer
I’m trying these currently for a review post here soon. Let’s see how I fare with this since I typically don’t use any eye shadow primer.
EYESHADOW PRIMER 01 Nude
Intensifies and extends the wear of any shadow, over 8 hour wear. A lightweight invisible finish works on all skin tones. The primer helps provide a seamless canvas for eyeshadow application and minimizes creasing throughout the day. Makes any cream or powder eyeshadow long-wearing! Available at CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Target, Kmart, Meijer, Fred Meyer, HEB & Kroger.

Milani Color Statement Lipstick Plums & Berries
You guys have seen my swatches of the Milani lipsticks in oranges and reds and also the pinks and corals. Read on for my review and swatches on the Milani Color Statement Lipstick Plum & Berry shades.

Milani Color Statement Lipstick Plums & Berries

Milani Color Statement Lipstick Plums & Berries (in shade)
These are described as:
- One stroke, full coverage application
- Lightweight, creamy formula
- Contains Vitamins A, C & E to moisturize lips
Unlike with the oranges and reds and the pinks and corals groups, I find these slightly less creamy and easy to apply. The formula is still very good and very well pigmented with a super opaque payoff, but it feels like…..the only way I can desribe it is the formula has more wax. It’s less “spreadable” than the first 2 groups and the lipstick itself felt more “firmer” per se (which explains why I thought it felt like it contains more wax). It’s not bad at all and I would think that this would be less noticeable on warmer days. The shades are bright and crazy against my skin tone. I actually thought that I’d find more that would go well in general with my face but this was not the case. They’re wearable but not as much as the shades in the first 2 groups for me. It glided on smoothly with me using a bit more pressure and my lips stay moisturized all day. As mentioned in my other review, there is no flaking or cracking that I get with some other lipsticks I’ve tried in the past. The finish for these shades vary from cream to vinyl to metallic to matte and shimmer. For a match up on what type of finish each shade is, see my press release post on this here. All 7 shades are perfect for day or night. Staying power is very impressive as usual. There is barely any wear at all throughout the day except for times when I have to consume food or take a drink. Even when that is the case, most of the color stayed on my lips and is still very pigmented. Swatches shown below are in ascending numeric order of the shades available in the plums & berries category. For each shade, I applied 2 slow strokes onto my arm since one stroke was barely visible for the first shade.

Milani Ultrafine Liquid Eye Liner
I have swatches and review of these coming up soon. Let’s see how I fare with this since liquid eye liners usually end up as duds for me personally.
EDIT: Swatches here.
ULTRAFINE LIQUID EYE LINER
Sparkling intense color, long-lasting, waterproof formula. The ultrafine felt-tip applicator makes it easy to apply a thick or thin line and dries down to a sparkling finish. Black also available in a vinyl finish!

Milani Ultrafine Liquid Eye Liner
Milani Color Statement Lipstick Pinks & Corals
You guys have seen swatches of the oranges and reds, now it’s time to move on to the next color group. Read on for my review and swatches on Milani Color Statement Lipstick Pink & Coral shades.

Milani Color Statement Lipstick Pinks & Corals

Milani Color Statement Lipstick Pinks & Corals (in shade)

Milani Color Statement Lipstick Pinks & Corals (direct sunlight)
These are described as:
- One stroke, full coverage application
- Lightweight, creamy formula
- Contains Vitamins A, C & E to moisturize lips
Just as with the oranges and reds, I find these simply awesome. The formula is very creamy and pigmented with a super opaque payoff. The only shade not living up to the “one stroke, full coverage application” claim for me is Pink Frost. A few others are a little light or bald with just one stroke, but 2 strokes did the trick for me. Formula is super creamy and light just as they claimed to be. It glided on super smooth and my lips stay moisturized all day. As mentioned in my other review, there is no flaking or cracking that I get with some other lipsticks I’ve tried in the past. The finish for these shades vary from cream to vinyl to metallic and matte. For a match up on what type of finish each shade is, see my press release post on this here. All 7 shades are perfect for day or night. Staying power is very impressive still. There is barely any wear at all througout the day except for times when I have to consume food or take a drink. Even when that is the case, most of the color stayed on my lips and is still very pigmented. Swatches shown below are in ascending numeric order of the shades available in the pinks & corals category. For each shade, I applied 2 slow strokes onto my arm since one stroke was barely visible for the first shade.

Milani Limited Edition Textured Creams Collection
Intrigued? I sure am! Most of the textured lacquers I’ve heard about lately are glittery and this is the first I’ve heard that are purely cremes!
EDIT: Swatches here.

Milani Limited Edition Textured Creams Collection
Milani is excited to announce the launch of the Limited Edition Nail Collection: Textured Creams Specialty Nail Lacquer. This limited edition collection is available at Meijer, Walgreens, HEB, and Fred Meyer. This collection will be hitting the majority of stores in March. I got these in and have tried them initially. All I gotta say is that I’ll try to reserve judgment more until trying things out from now on. Instant LOVE!

These are described as:
- One stroke, full coverage application
- Lightweight, creamy formula
- Contains Vitamins A, C & E to moisturize lips
Two words to describe this is pure awesomeness. The formula is very creamy and pigmented with a super opaque payoff. Some shades aren’t quite living up to the “one stroke, full coverage application” claim, but it comes really close if that’s the case. Formula is super creamy and light just as they claimed to be. It glided on super smooth, almost like spreading butter. My lips stay moisturized all day. There is no flaking or cracking that I get with some other lipsticks I’ve tried in the past. The finish for all shades vary from cream to vinyl to metallic to pearl and matte. For a match up on what type of finish each shade is, see my press release post on this here. All 7 shades are perfect for day or night. Staying power is extremely impressive for me. After 6 hours, there is barely any wear at all. After 8, only a little and that just shows the quality that I have come to love about this brand. Milani Shadow Eyez 12 Hour Wear Eyeshadow Pencil
Today’s post is on a product that speaks for itself. Here’s Milani Shadow Eyez 12 Hour Wear Eyeshadow Pencil.

Milani Shadow Eyez 12 Hour Wear Eyeshadow Pencil

Milani Shadow Eyez 12 Hour Wear Eyeshadow Pencil (shot to show shade names)
These are described as:
- Long-lasting (up to 12 hrs)
- Easy to use
- Water-resistant, crease-proof
- Paraben-Free
- Sharpens with Milani’s Duo Sharpener
- Made in Germany
This eye shadow comes in a pencil form and is small enough to slip into even a small clutch or wristlet. The formula is very creamy and pigmented with a super opaque payoff. The finish for all shades are either metallic or pearl, although they all seem metallic to me. All 6 shades are perfect for day or night. Staying power is where I was extremely impressed by it. After 12 hours, there is barely any wear at all. I removed it at 16 hours and still had a relatively hard time getting it all off easily. The oil on my eyelids by then helped in ease of removal, but I still needed some makeup remover to get the rest of it off. I was concerned about creasing initially. But true to their claim, I experienced no problems with that at all. Swatches shown below are in ascending numeric order of the shades available. For each shade, I applied the eye shadow onto my arm twice to show what it looks like when I apply it on my eyelids.

Even More Temporary Tattoo Fun with Milani Color Play Felt-Tip Pens
Hey y’all! Happy Friday! Today is the day I’m getting psyched up for Guild Wars 2. I can’t wait to start in the wee hours of the night! I had the chance to play with the Milani Color Play Felt-Tip Pens again yesterday and this is the result of that…..

Milani Color Play Felt-Tip Pens Doodle (Cupcake)
This is modeled after a photo holder that me and my co-worker sisters got from a colleague that left a month or so ago. Here is another shot, but this time it’s with Didi’s current mani (which I did!).

Milani Color Play Felt-Tip Pens Doodle (Cupcake with mani)
Like I mentioned in my earlier post here, I am definitely having more fun with using this product to make semi-permanent temporary tattoos instead of using them as plain eye liners. They last a while too!
More Temporary Tattoo Fun with Milani Color Play Felt-Tip Pens
As seen in my previous post about Milani Color Play Felt-Tip Pens, these can be used on the body as well. Here’s the latest I came up with when playing around with them on my co-worker friends.
On Renu….

Milani Color Play Felt-Tip Pens Doodle (Mermaid)
On our Didi….

Milani Color Play Felt-Tip Pens Doodle (Heart)
And finally, on me….

Milani Color Play Felt-Tip Pens Doodle (J Initial)
I think I like using these more as temporary tattoo pens than eye liner!
I love how easy they are to use. It just glides on seamlessly! I am able to make intricate designs with it due to the fine tip. I think this is one of Milani’s best products out there to date!
Milani Color Play Felt-Tip Pens
I blogged about these a few days ago here and now I’m ready to give a full review on them. They come in 6 shades, are limited edition and available only at Walgreens and Fred Meyer stores as well as online. They are highly pigmented, easy to apply and lasts long on the eyes and other parts of the body. Here’s Milani Color Play Felt-Tip Pens.

Milani Color Play Felt-Tip Pens

Milani Color Play Felt-Tip Pens (shot to show shade names)
These are described as the following: “Fine felt-tip point for easy application. Water-resistant & long-lasting. Store horizontally for extended product usage.” They applied smoothly onto my eyes and skin. I have no problems with getting product onto the desired parts of my body. They do last a while. I doodled a bit on my wrist and the doodle is still there after a full shower. The only thing I have to watch for is when I apply it on my lower waterline. I have always had a problem with liquid eye liners where the product would hit a watery spot and the pigment spreads onto my eye. I’d have to wash it out and swear never to use such products again. But I didn’t have that much trouble with this one. I feel like I have more control compared to those that I have used in the past, which is great news! You also have some control on how thick or thin you want the product to be applied because of the fine tip.

These retail for $6.99 each. Not bad at all for what you’re getting. When I apply them to my wrist, they come out looking like tattoos!
Get them while they last! I’ll leave y’all with a cell pic of a doodle I made on my co-worker friend’s arm.

Milani Natural Touch
Hey guys! Middle of the week once again! I’m so excited for the weekend to come. Weekends are much more fun these days for me. Actually, everyday pretty much is.
For those that have been following me here, I’ve gone through a very rough patch since mid-March. I’m okay and in a much better place now, but it doesn’t mean I don’t remember that rough time in my life. Enough about that!
Today’s post is on one of Milani’s 2012 new shades. Here’s Milani Natural Touch.

Milani Just Grayt
Short and sweet here. Today’s post is on a shade released in 2012 by Milani. Here’s Milani Just Grayt.

Milani Just Grayt
Just Grayt is a creamy grey creme shade. It immediately made me think of Deborah Lippmann Waking Up In Vegas, but they’re not dupes at all. Formula for this is decent. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Milani Hipster Plum
Hey guys! It’s Thursday, almost the weekend! I’m looking forward to it since I got in the shades I ordered from Butter London with their 30% F&F code. They extended the sale until the end of this month! The torture! I almost placed another order last night and ended up clearing out my entire cart – crazy! Just when I thought the madness and temptation is over, I get an email saying that they’re extending the F&F! Haha! Moving on, today’s post is on one of the new shades Milani released this year. Here’s Milani Hipster Plum.

Milani Hipster Plum
I’m not happy how these pictures turned out, but I have too many others to go through that I just let this one go. At the very least, it’s color accurate. Hipster Plum is an eggplant purple creme shade. Formula is decent and is quite pigmented. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Middle of the week and just chugging along. Short and sweet – here’s Milani Morning Coffee.

Milani Morning Coffee
Not a huge coffee drinker here…..just the cold ones once in a while. Morning Coffee is a pretty reddish-brown creme with a shiny finish. Formula is very rich, creamy and smooth. It glided onto my nails beautifully. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Milani Glitzy Glamour Gloss
Hola! Happy Friday y’all! Today’s post is on something I’ve been using for the past few days now. Not bad, I say! Here’s Milani Glitzy Glamour Gloss.

Milani Glitzy Glamour Gloss
These are described as:
- Formula feels smooth and silky, not sticky or tacky
- The colors dazzle lips with hyper-pearl effects
- Sponge-tip wand applicator
- Made in USA
Packaging for this is a bit more bulkier than most lip glosses I’ve used, but it is small enough to slip into even a small clutch or wristlet. The applicator is the doe foot shaped sponge tip that I’ve seen on other lip glosses. It spreads the lip gloss nicely over my lips. The formula is barely sticky – not bad at all. It stays on the lips very well and the color payoff is relatively decent. There are a lot more choices than shown above, so be sure to check them all out and pick the shade you want. It sells at an okay price point. It has a light strawberry scent. These last for about a few hours, but that’s expected for me with a lip gloss. Swatches shown below are for the following shades from left to right: High Status and Show Stopper. For each shade, I dabbed the lip gloss on a teeny bit to show what it looks like clearly.

A Rose Mylady is a dusty rose shimmer shade. The shimmer is really subtle. It’s pretty, but I think it looks better on other skin tones than mine. Formula is good and typical of what’s expected from Milani. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.
