Finger Paints Summer In The City Swatches

Middle of the week and very busy here, so I’ll try to keep this short. Here are the swatches for Finger Paints’ summer offering in the order of the press release.

First up is Beach Bound.

Finger Paints Beach Bound

Beach Bound is a creamy purple creme. It is pretty pigmented. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Beach Bound (in shade)

Finger Paints Beach Bound (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Beach Bound (close-up)

Next is Flip Flop.

Finger Paints Flip Flop

Flip Flop is a bright raspberry pink creme. It’s almost fuchsia to some, but I still consider this a raspberry pink. I love how bright and juicy this one is. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Flip Flop (in shade)

Finger Paints Flip Flop (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Flip Flop (close-up)

Next is my favorite, Late Night Rendezvous.

Finger Paints Late Night Rendezvous

Late Night Rendezvous is a vibrant blue shimmer. I love this type of finish. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Late Night Rendezvous (in shade)

Finger Paints Late Night Rendezvous (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Late Night Rendezvous (close-up)

Next is one that they’ve released recently for 2012, Movie In The Park.

Finger Paints Movie In The Park

Movie In The Park is a purple glitter shade. It is best used layered over other shades since this is basically blue and purple glitter in a clear base. I opted to keep it light to show how it looks as is. Shown is one coat with no top coat.

Finger Paints Movie In The Park (in shade)

Finger Paints Movie In The Park (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Movie In The Park (close-up)

Next is Sexy Sundress.

Finger Paints Sexy Sundress

This one is the shade that made me go WTF?! Allow me to explain. See how it looks in the press release? Yeah, I was expecting a beautiful yellow creme. But no, I end up with yellow-green creme that makes nme think of Shrek. Oh well, I’ll still be thinking about that wonderful yellow creme shade that could’ve been. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Sexy Sundress (in shade)

Finger Paints Sexy Sundress (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Sexy Sundress (close-up)

Last up is To-teally Hot.

Finger Paints To-teally Hot

To-teally Hot is such a perfect color for the summer. It’s a mix between turquoise and teal. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints To-teally Hot (in shade)

Finger Paints To-teally Hot (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints To-teally Hot (close-up)

Overall? I like them all, but Sexy Sundress was such a letdown. I wish it was what it originally was supposed to be. A bright yellow would’ve made this entire collection better. But not bad at all. These shades should be available in Sally Beauty Supply stores and online for $4.99 each.

Finger Paints Gumdrops & Lollipops Swatches

I’m making this short and sweet. Here’s Finger Paints’ Gumdrops & Lollipops Collection swatches displayed in the order seen in the press release. First up is Lemon Sour.

Finger Paints Lemon Sour

Lemon sour is a yummy yellow creme shade. This is the lightest one in the entire collection. Formula was so-so for a creme shade. Excuse the state of my poor cuticles with this one. I swatched this shade last and it was very beat up by then. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Lemon Sour (in shade)

Finger Paints Lemon Sour (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Lemon Sour (close-up)

Next up is Circus Peanuts.

Finger Paints Circus Peanuts

Circus Peanuts is the shade I got most comments on via the press release post and on Twitter. This orange creme makes me think of an orange creamsicle or orange sorbet. Mmmm….yum! Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Circus Peanuts (in shade)

Finger Paints Circus Peanuts (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Circus Peanuts (close-up)

Moving on, we have Choco Mint.

Finger Paints Choco Mint

Choco Mint couldn’t have received a more fitting name for the shade. I surprisingly liked this mint green creme more than I thought I would. I had trouble with this shade being that it’s more watery for a creme, so I settled for one thicker coat with no top coat.

Finger Paints Choco Mint (in shade)

Finger Paints Choco Mint (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Choco Mint (close-up)

Next we have Blue Raspberry Taffy.

Finger Paints Blue Raspberry Taffy

I didn’t like this shade when I initially saw it, but once I got the bottle in my hand…it was almost like love. I eagerly tried this one first and it did not disappoint! Formula is more watery than most creme shades I’ve used, but it’s self-leveling. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Blue Raspberry Taffy (in shade)

Finger Paints Blue Raspberry Taffy (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Blue Raspberry Taffy (close-up)

Here’s a jelly-ish shade, Pop Rock Pink.

Finger Paints Pop Rock Pink

I really wanted a red shade, so I kind of ignored this one initially. I thought a perfect red candy would be something like Red Hots or something, so why no red? When I put this on, I immediately knew that it’s not just a shimmer. It’s actually a jelly with shimmer! And it has a flash of purple shown in the direct sunlight shot. Since it’s a jelly, I just did an extra coat of my usual 2. Shown is 3 coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Pop Rock Pink (in shade)

Finger Paints Pop Rock Pink (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Pop Rock Pink (close-up)

Last up is Grape Gumball.

Finger Paints Grape Gumball

Grape candy, in general, gets no love from me. As a kid, I’ve always associated it with this fever medicine called Tempra. And yep, you guessed it, the flavor is grape. I only liked grape in the form of jams and jellies until probably I went to college. I appreciate the fruit itself. I don’t like wine, so the love affair ends there. Grape Gumball is a purple shimmer that actually does remind me of what the shade of the purple gumball is. The finish reminds me of a glass fleck shade really. Formula for this is a little bit watery than most shimmers I’ve used. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Grape Gumball (in shade)

Finger Paints Grape Gumball (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Grape Gumball (close-up)

Overall? Love the colors and some actually were better than expected. Formula though is more watery in general. All are more watery than what I expect out of a creme or shimmer shade. They’re self-leveling though, so that helps (while it doesn’t really redeem itself or anything). The cremes are all pastel-ish with the exception of Blue Raspberry Taffy. The shimmers are, well, not really shimmers at all to me. One’s a jelly and the other’s more of a glass fleck to me. That one’s actually pretty bright. These shades will be available soon in Sally Beauty Supply stores and online for $4.99 each.

Finger Paints Fun-Fetti

This one a limited edition shade for this Holiday from Finger Paints. It’s been highly talked about due to its resemblance to a myriad of other shades from various brands. Here is Fun-Fetti.

Finger Paints Fun-Fetti

Looks familiar? I used one thick coat and pushed the glitters around with the brush, patting them down to make the coat even.

Finger Paints Merry & Bright Swatches

So how does Finger Paints Merry & Bright Collection look in person compared to the press release? Read on! First up is Frosty Night.

Finger Paints Frosty Night

Frosty Night is a plain silver glitter shade. The silver glitter suspended in clear base isn’t the kind that gives of any holographic properties when light hits it. It’s just plain silver. Formula is a little bit goopy, but manageable to work with. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Frosty Night (in shade)

Finger Paints Frosty Night (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Frosty Night (close-up)

Next up is Winter Sky.

Finger Paints Winter Sky

Winter Sky is the shimmery shade that surprised me the most. I didn’t expect it to look the way it did. I don’t have anything quite like it, but I am not completely in love with this shade either. Shown is one thicker coat with no top coat.

Finger Paints Winter Sky (in shade)

Finger Paints Winter Sky (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Winter Sky (close-up)

Then we have Yule Be Merry.

Finger Paints Yule Be Merry

Yule Be Merry surprised me with the slightly blue or purple flash I see especially under direct sunlight. It’s a pretty magenta shimmer shade and probably my favorite in this collection just cause of the color. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Yule Be Merry (in shade)

Finger Paints Yule Be Merry (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Yule Be Merry (close-up)

The green in this bunch is called Comet’s Collar.

Finger Paints Comet's Collar

Another shade that surprised me is this one. I did not expect Comet’s Collar to have glass fleck-ish shimmer. The green in this shade leans yellow. Formula for this is pretty decent. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Comet's Collar

Finger Paints Comet's Collar

Finger Paints Comet's Collar

The red in this Holiday Collection is called Santa Kisses.

Finger Paints Santa Kisses

To be honest, I was disappointed with this one. It’s just plain red glitter in a clear base. We’ve seen it done over and over again, so this is nothing new. The glitter isn’t very bright either to wow me. There are lots of other better red glitter shades out there. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Santa Kisses (in shade)

Finger Paints Santa Kisses (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Santa Kisses (close-up)

Finger Paints Santa Kisses (with flash)

Last shade in this bunch is called Drummer Boy.

Finger Paints Drummer Boy

I know a lot of readers were curious about this shade in particular. Well, Drummer Boy is a plain blue glitter shade. I like the shade of blue, makes me think of the blue and silver color combination for the Holidays. Out of all 3 glitters in this collection, I think this is the one I like the most. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Drummer Boy (in shade)

Finger Paints Drummer Boy (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Drummer Boy (close-up)

Overall? I’m a bit disappointed with this collection in comparison to other brands’ Holiday offerings. But not all is lost. A lot of these shades still managed to pleasantly surprise me, but it’s not enough to make me jump for joy. I think their last year’s collection really nailed it and this pales in comparison to that. Formula is pretty standard for shimmers and a bit on the goopy side for glitters. The glitter shades leaves some grittiness to the touch, but not as rough as sandpaper or the texture of concrete. These shades are available in Sally Beauty Supply stores and online for $4.99 each.

Finger Paints Fall Fashionista Swatches

Hey guys! How was your weekend? Mine was filled with just some much-needed R&R. I kicked back and played a lot of Minecraft. Minecraft FTW! I am seriously addicted to that game. I’m a farmer who mines there. I love making those cute cakes. :) I also swatched a little bit and here are the shades I managed to swatch from Finger Paints’ Fall Fashionista Collection. I posted the press release for this a while back.

First up is Stunning Stilettos.

Finger Paints Stunning Stilettos

Not bad. A very nice color for Fall. Definitely can’t go wrong with a grey creme. This one applied on so smoothly. It’s pretty opaque, but definitely not a one coater. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Stunning Stilettos (in shade)

Finger Paints Stunning Stilettos (direct sunlight)

Next, the orange in the bunch called Cordur-Orange.

Finger Paints Cordur-Orange

Very bright, very nice. One of my favorites in the entire collection. It’s perfect for Fall and for Halloween! This one’s a one coater for me. Very pigmented and applied beautifully. Shown is one coat with no top coat.

Finger Paints Cordur-Orange (in shade)

Finger Paints Cordur-Orange (direct sunlight)

The crowd favorite is next, Military Green.

Finger Paints Military Green

I don’t have much to say about this shade really. It’s a nice shade of green and one that I don’t have anything close to it at all in my stash. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Military Green (in shade)

Finger Paints Military Green (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Military Green (close-up)

The one that’s been creating some buzz in this collection as well is Vintage Velvet.

Finger Paints Vintage Velvet

I don’t really care for this shade on me, but it doesn’t look horrible on me. I think it would look better on others though. Blue green cremes are generally not my thing. It’s pretty, but not a unique color compared to others in the same collection. One notable thing is that it’s very pigmented and only required one coat for me. Shown is one coat with no top coat.

Finger Paints Vintage Velvet (in shade)

Finger Paints Vintage Velvet (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Vintage Velvet (close-up)

My favorite of the bunch, here’s Raspberry Tafetta.

Finger Paints Raspberry Tafetta

This is a beautiful berry shade. Perfect for Fall definitely. Not as pigmented as the rest. I tried applying one thicker coat and no bueno. This one is slightly more watery than most of the shades in this collection. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Raspberry Tafetta (in shade)

Finger Paints Raspberry Tafetta (direct sunlight)

Here’s one that I simply can’t get myself to like at all still, Catwalk Queen.

Finger Paints Catwalk Queen

Muted yellow. Personally? Ick. I know for a fact that I will be frankening with this later on. Bright yellows, I can deal with still. Dusty ones? Won’t work on me. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Catwalk Queen (in shade)

Next up is To-Teally Chic.

Finger Paints To-Teally Chic

Okay, I definitely love this teal shade. But this doesn’t really look like the shade in the press release pictures, which I am slightly bummed. It must be the lighting, but I really loved the brighter teal isntead. This one is very pigmented as well and applied like a dream. Shown is one coat with no top coat.

Finger Paints To-Teally Chic (in shade)

Finger Paints To-Teally Chic (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints To-Teally Chic (close-up)

Can’t walk about fashion without the taupe. Here’s Haute Taupe.

Finger Paints Haute Taupe

I don’t like browns really, so I’m biased with this shade. With that said, I can’t complain about anything about it other than that really. It applied nicely and dries at a decent amoutn of time. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Haute Taupe (in shade)

Finger Paints Haute Taupe (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Haute Taupe (close-up)

It can’t be quite the Fall Collection without a purple, right? Here’s Purple Pinstripe.

Finger Paints Purple Pinstripe

I also liked this shade more based on the press release, but the difference is less noticeable than To-Teally Chic’s case. This one is thinner than other shades, so being a one coater is pretty much out of the question. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Purple Pinstripe (in shade)

Finger Paints Purple Pinstripe (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Purple Pinstripe (close-up)

Finger Paints Purple Pinstripe (lighting changed)

Overall? Well-rounded. These muted colors suit Fall very well. There are a good number of one coaters in this collection, which I am very impressed with, and the formula is pretty consistent for all the shades. They all applied really well and dried in a reasonable amount of time for creme shades.

These shades are available in Sally Beauty Supply stores and online for $4.99 each. Watch out for some sales that they occasionally have for Finger Paints and you can really score!

Finger Paints Fall Fashionista Collection

Here’s the latest press release pictures I got for Finger Paints. They’re releasing a set of 9 fashion-themed shades.

EDIT: Swatches here.

Finger Paints Fall Fashionista Collection

Other brands’ Fall Collection are of darker hues. Kudos to Finger Paints for bringing in more color for that season.

Finger Paints Stunning Stilettos

Finger Paints Cordur-Orange

Finger Paints Military Green

Finger Paints Vintage Velvet

Finger Paints Raspberry Tafetta

Finger Paints Catwalk Queen

Finger Paints To-Teally Chic

Finger Paints Haute Taupe

Finger Paints Purple Pinstripe

I think I matched the names up correctly. Looks like mostly cremes, but some may actually be barely there shimmers (EDIT: I got confirmation that they’re all cremes). Even with the big bottle shots, it’s a little hard to tell.

These shades will be available in stores and online starting August 2011. They retail for $4.99 each.

Finger Paints Peace, Love & Color Swatches

I have been so excited when swatching these shades. What I thought would be my favorites turned out to be just okay and a shade that I thought was just cute turned out to be my favorite of the bunch! Here are swatches for Finger Paints’ Summer 2011 offering, a 70′s themed collection aptly named Peace, Love & Summer. As usual, these are in the order of the press release pictures.

First up is Groovy Green.

Finger Paints Groovy Green

This is a very nice green shimmer, leaning to a frost finish really. I don’t have anything in my stash quite like it. I’m on the fence if I like this green or not. Formula was a bit tricky for me on this one as it tend to show brush strokes. I got the hang of it the second time I tried. Drying time was pretty short. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Next up is Outta Sight Orange.

Finger Paints Outta Sight Orange

This is one of the shades that totally caught me by surprise! I thought it’s just a glittery orange. Wow, it’s a glass flecked orange shade! I loved it the moment I put it on my nails! Formula was a dream to work with. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Outta Sight Orange (in shade)

The teal in this collection is called All You Need Is Color.

Finger Paints All You Need Is Color

This is a teal glitter shade. Very pretty, but nothing out of the ordinary. I don’t have a teal glitter in my stash yet, so I gladly welcome this new shade. Formula was a bit tricky for me with this one. Being that it dries pretty fast, I resorted to using 2 thicker coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints All You Need Is Color (in shade)

Finger Paints All You Need Is Color (direct sunlight)

The 70′s  was all about peace, so the next shade didn’t surprise me being named Peaceful Purple.

Finger Paints Peaceful Purple

Mmmm…..yummy purple glitter. This one’s quite a beauty. Tiny silver glitter in a purple jelly base. Can’t go wrong with that. Formula was easy to work with and drying time is quick, as with most glitter shades. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

The lone creme shade of the bunch is called Give Pink A Chance.

Finger Paints Give Pink A Chance

This one’s a pretty darker than the typical pink creme shade. This one applied smoothly on my nails, almost like the buttery formulas I’ve seen from OPI. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Last up is a shade called Psychedelic Sunshine.

Finger Paints Psychedelic Sunshine

A beautiful bright yellow glitter shade, this turned out to be my favorite in this collection. I didn’t know that this has holographic glitter! I thought this was just another yellow shade that’s cute and bright. Formula for this is nice and smooth. Shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat.

Overall? I love it. Another great collection that suits summer perfectly. There’s a bit of everything for everyone in this set.

These will be available at Sally Beauty Supply stores in May for $4.99 each. Which shades are now on your shopping list? :)

Finger Paints Peace, Love & Color Collection

A great summer collection is coming!

EDIT: Swatches here.

Finger Paints Peace, Love & Color Collection

Wow, wow, WOW! That’s all I have to say about this! These 6 70′s themed shades are named as shown below.

Finger Paints Groovy Green

Finger Paints Outta Sight Orange

Finger Paints All You Need Is Color

Finger Paints Peaceful Purple

Finger Paints Give Pink A Chance

Finger Paints Psychedelic Sunshine

These shades will be available in stores and online starting May 2011. They retail for $4.99 each. I have always gotten my Finger Paints polishes from Sally Beauty Supply.

So what do you think of this collection? I see glitters and Groovy Green is definitely a shimmer. Not sure what Give Pink A Chance is, but it looks like it might be a creme. They look very pigmented. I definitely want to get my hands on them!

Finger Paints Palette Of Petals Swatches

Swatches are finally here for Finger Paints’ Palette Of Petals Collection. Feast your eyes on these lovely spring shades!

Finger Paints Heavenly Hydrangeas

Finger Paints Heavenly Hydrangeas (in shade)

Finger Paints Heavenly Hydrangeas (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Heavenly Hydrangeas (close-up)

Heavenly Hydrangeas is a purple shade that is slightly muddy. I think I would like it better if it was brighter. It’s not a bad shade at all though. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Chrysanthe-mum's The Word

Finger Paints Chrysanthe-mum's The Word (in shade)

Finger Paints Chrysanthe-mum's The Word (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Chrysanthe-mum's The Word (close-up)

Chrysanthe-mum’s The Word is a bright green shade that makes me think of Doublemint Gum’s packaging (but brighter). Beautiful green creme that is very suitable for Spring. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Aren't You Glad-iolous?

Finger Paints Aren't You Glad-iolous? (in shade)

Finger Paints Aren't You Glad-iolous? (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Aren't You Glad-iolous? (close-up)

I find the name of this one a little strange. But it’s flower-themed, so I guess it works. But “glad-iolous”? Really? Either way, it’s a very pale lilac shade that I almost mistook it for a pale gray. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Did You Ast-her Out?

Finger Paints Did You Ast-her Out? (in shade)

Finger Paints Did You Ast-her Out? (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Did You Ast-her Out? (close-up)

The name of this shade made me LOL. It’s cute and it made more sense than the previous shade. This is a pink creme shade that has this jelly property to it. I wouldn’t classify it fully as a jelly at all, but it has that jelly look. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Carnation Creation

Finger Paints Carnation Creation (in shade)

Finger Paints Carnation Creation (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Carnation Creation (close-up)

I absolutely adore this one! Carnation Creation is a bright teal shade. This reminds me of shades like Milani’s Dude Blue from their Neon Line. It’s not even close though to that. I have a feeling this will be their best-selling shade from this collection. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Finger Paints Dahlia My Number

Finger Paints Dahlia My Number (in shade)

Finger Paints Dahlia My Number (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Dahlia My Number (close-up)

This is the lone non-creme shade in the collection. Dahlia My Number is a beautiful orange with gold shimmer. Even though I like this shade, it seems a bit out-of-place with the other shades in this collection because of its finish. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Overall? Nice Spring collection. Formula was lovely on all shades, which made application a breeze. Drying time didn’t take much longer than expected and the colors are suitable for Spring (and Easter!). You can pick these up at your local Sally Beauty Supply stores for $4.99 each or $4.49 if you have membership status. It should also be available online at Sally Beauty Supply’s online store.

Finger Paints Palette Of Petals Collection

Ah! Spring is just around the corner. With this in mind, Finger Paints unveiled its Spring Collection featuring 6 bright shades.

EDIT: Swatches here.

Finger Paints Palette Of Petals Collection

Floral themed, these 6 shades are named as shown below.

Finger Paints Heavenly Hydrangeas

Finger Paints Chrysanthe-mum's The Word

Finger Paints Aren't You Glad-iolous?

Finger Paints Did You Ast-her Out?

Finger Paints Dahlia My Number

Finger Paints Carnations Creation

These shades will be available in stores and online starting March 2011. They retail for $4.99 each. I have always gotten my Finger Paints polishes from Sally Beauty Supply.

So what do you think of this collection?

Finger Paints Winter’s Whisper

Another shade from the Seduced By Fall Collection from Finger Paints is Winter’s Whisper. This is one cool shade people. It actually made me think of China Glaze’s Jitterbug but it’s different. I will get more into that in another post later on.

Finger Paints Winter's Whisper

I actually thought the color is like gunmetal but it is actually more of a charcoal shade. It’s like a charcoal silver. It’s very pretty and shimmery. Shown is one generous coat. Had the coat been thicker or had I done 2 thin coats instead, it would’ve been more opaque than what you will see in the following pictures. In shade, it looks just right with one generous coat.

Finger Paints Winter's Whisper (in shade)

Finger Paints Winter's Whisper (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Winter's Whisper (close-up)

See the shimmer? It’s really pretty but leaning on the dark side. It’s darker with more coats. Drying time is relatively fast for a shimmer. The formula is a little bit on the watery side but it wasn’t difficult to deal with.

Finger Paints Harvest Hues

Ready for the ultimate Fall shade? This is Finger Paints’ Harvest Hues.

Finger Paints Harvest Hues

Who says Fall has got to be all about brown and reds? Bring on the green! This green is gorgeous, deep, rich, and sultry. It’s the ultimate Fall green. Shown is one generous coat. Yes, it’s a one coater! So pigmented and it applied on like a dream!

Finger Paints Harvest Hues (in shade)

Finger Paints Harvest Hues (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Harvest Hues (close-up)

What a lovely green! I personally think this is a green that one can wear into the Holidays too! The shimmer is subtle and not wild or loud at all. Perfect for work Christmas parties and such.

Finger Paints Harvest Hues (last shot)

I picked this one up on clearance at Sally Beauty Supply a few weeks ago. Very well worth the money!

Finger Paints Autumn Allure

Another shade from Finger Paints’ Fall offering is Autumn Allure. I didn’t like the color just by looking at the bottle. I thought there wasn’t anything special with this shade at all. I was in for a big surprise. After applying it on my mails, I LOVE it!

Finger Paints Autumn Allure

Don’t underestimate this taupe shade! It’s a gorgeous taupe shimmer that has a slight frosty finish to it. Application was smooth and shown is 2 thin coats with no top coat. It looks even better under sunlight. It’s a perfect shade that one can wear well into the Holiday season, depending on the color of their outfit.

Finger Paints Autumn Allure (in shade)

Finger Paints Autumn Allure (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Autumn Allure (close-up)

Just look at that shimmer! It’s the same type of shimmer from Autumn Moonlight, very pretty and subtle still for this shade.

Finger Paints Autumn Moonlight

Autumn is clearly here. I have refused to accept that summer is long gone but the cold weather is simply too hard to ignore. I admit defeat, alas! Here today, I have Finger Paints Autumn Moonlight.

Finger Paints Autumn Moonlight

From their Seduced By Fall Collection, Finger Paints delights us with this deep, dark blue. What I appreciate most about this blue shimmery shade is that it is not so dark to the point that it looks black most of the time. I have encountered a lot of shades like that. It looks blue in the bottle but when painted on the nails it comes out to be black except when under sunlight or direct light. Those shades make me sad because not only are they prettier in the bottle but that’s quite deceiving.

Finger Paints Autumn Moonlight (in shade)

Finger Paints Autumn Moonlight (direct sunlight)

Finger Paints Autumn Moonlight (close-up)

Shown is just one generous coat. Yes, the formula for this one is quite pigmented that you can get away with just one generous coat. Drying time is relatively normal for shimmers. The shimmer in this is quite mesmerizing. I am indeed seduced by this shade. :)

Finger Paints Pas-tel Me More

This is the first Finger Paints shade I will be featuring on my blog. I usually get them at my local Sally Beauty Supply store when they’re on clearance. I like them but they’re not one of my favorite nail polish brands (yet!). My first introduction to Finger Paints was on a round robin swap a few months back on this online forum I belong to. I got a really pretty red one, which I will feature sometime later on, and ever since then I have become more perceptive to the brand when I visit my local Sally Beauty Supply stores.

Finger Paints Pas-tel Me More

This is a light pink shade that makes me think of cotton candy. It’s very pretty with a subtle shimmer. The only downside to this shade, for me, is that I found out during application to the nail that it is like a frost polish. I encountered those dreaded brush strokes. But the good thing about it is that the brush stoke problem with this shade isn’t as bad as it is in frost polishes, which is why I don’t consider this one a frost. The formula is pretty thin but not watery. Shows is 2 coats with no top coat.

See what I mean about the brush strokes? I was able to “correct” the brush strokes I didn’t like. Drying time for this one is pretty fast. I was able to layer on the second coat in a few minutes after waving my hand wildly in the air. This is definitely a work and school safe color.

The quality of the lacquer is pretty good for the price and when compared to other brands. I highly recommend picking one up when given the chance. Give it a try!
