Curtain Call: Wild Cactus Soaps Soy Whipped Body Butter
The frustrating part about finding a really good bath and body product is that half the time the company goes out of business or the product gets discontinued. Some of you may know that I’ve dabbled in soapmaking and I’ve come in contact with lots of homemade soapmakers as well as those that branch into bath and body stuff such as body butters, lotions and bath bombs. Today’s Curtain Call post is on a product from a company that I can no longer trace if it has just changed names or what.
I’m not sure how much product is held in this screw top lid container, but it lasted me through a whole winter. Winters in Oklahoma are relatively short, but it still doesn’t exempt me from suffering dry winter skin. I had this in my stash and decided to give it a shot. The front text reads ““Dutch Chocolate” and a little to the left side reads “Smooth over clean dry skin. Re-apply as needed. Avoid contact with eyes.” while the right side states “Soy wax, cocoa butter, fractionated coconut oil, apricot kernel oil & fragrance”.

Wild Cactus Soaps Soy Whipped Body Butter
Verdict? I like it! It provides a lot of moisture and you can tell that the body butter is just so rich when held in between your fingers. It starts to soften and melt with your body temperature, making it very easy to glide and apply over skin. It can feel heavy during the summer, so I definitely consider this a heavy-duty winter body butter. While it can feel a little heavy to some even for winter, it’s not that greasy at all. My skin absorbed this quickly and I didn’t have a problem with dry skin throughout winter. The scent is of light chocolate and very pleasant. I wish I could track down whether the company still exists and had just changed names so that I can keep getting this for my winter to-go moisturizer. But unfortunately for me, I’ll have to find something else for this coming winter.
Curtain Call: Bath & Body Works Pleasures Velvet Tuberose Body Cream
Today’s segment of Curtain Call covers another product from one of my favorite brands, Bath & Body Works. Here’s my take on Bath & Body Works Pleasures Body Cream.
At 8 oz / 226 g, this retails for $12.50 at Bath & Body Works stores and online. It goes on sale from time to time (like now!) and you can score this for less with coupons they send out occasionally. It’s a good buy especially when they have their semi-annual sales. That’s when I stock up on these! The whole squeeze tube container lasted me for about 3 months. The back of the tube reads the following:
“Night-blooming white tuberose, diamond orchids and seductive cashmere mush caress skin like velvet. Elegant. Rare. Glamorous.
For Daily Beauty:
Smooth over skin, focusing on dry spots like elbows, heels and knees.
Naturally Pampering Ingredients:
Nourishing Avocado Oil, Smoothing Fruit Enzymes, Conditioning Calendula & Almond Oils”

Bath & Body Works Pleasures Velvet Tuberose Body Cream
Verdict? I love it. The scent shown is Velvet Tuberose. I normally don’t go for muskier scents, but this one gets my vote. Being that this is a body cream instead of just a body lotion, a little goes a long way. The scent lasts much longer too. I always get compliments when using this product. For the price, this luxurious treat is worth it for you to pamper your skin with. If you get this on sale or with their coupons, it sweetens the deal. They also have various other scents available to choose from in case this scent is not right up your alley.
This product can easily be purchased at Bath & Body Works stores and online where available.
Curtain Call: got2b Spa Body Butta Up
Today’s post is another segment of Curtain Call. The product up for evaluation and review is the got2b Spa Body Butta Up. I got this a long time back when I saw it at Walmart I believe.
At 400 ml / 13.5 fl oz, this is a good buy really since it lasted me a long time. This should be available at various retail and drugstores if the got2b Spa line is still in production. It comes in a screw top round plastic tub. The front text reads “honey almond shea butter” and “nourishing body butter”. The back of the container reads the following:
“Bring dry, thirsty skin to a whole new level of softness with this rich & nourishing treat for your entire body. Skin essential emollients, sweet almond & golden honey are combined with nourishing shea butter to help hydrate, condition & leave skin feeling touchable & delectably soft. Your skin will just drink it up. Smile… this butter treat is no dream!
DIRECTIONS: Massage butta up lavishly over your entire body, paying special attention to extra dry, rough areas like elbows & knees.”

got2b Spa Body Butta Up
Verdict? I love it. While the formula is thick, it spreads out nicely onto my skin when I massage it in. I find it a little too thick for my liking for summer really, but this is perfect for winter months. My skin is definitely not remotely dry at all in the winter with this body butter. A little goes a long way and the scent is just so yummy! If you like the scent of almond, you’ll absolutely love this product. A whole tub lasts me for months (remember, a little goes a looooong way!). A definite thumbs up from me.
I haven’t seen this line of got2b anywhere recently, but I know for sure that I have purchased items from this line at Walmart in their beauty and personal care product aisle.
ONE Natural Body Butter
I’ve been using this ever since I finished reviewing the ONE Natural Hand & Body Lotion. Here’s my take on ONE Natural Body Butter.

ONE Natural Body Butter
The 7 fl oz / 207 g body butter is housed in an aluminum tin container. As everyone knows by now, all ONE products boasts to have 100% recyclable packaging; from their cardboard boxes to the aluminum containers and packets. The body butter I received is in the fragrance You wild coconut, you! and all I can say about that is WOW. The front text reads “smooth that tired skin”. Also spotted is the now familiar “One moment to enjoy * One less thing in a landfill * One life to live * One planet to preserve” logo forming a circular frame around the brand name on the center of the front cardboard packaging.
Taken directly from the back of the product packaging:
DIRECTIONS: Slather on daily to scent your body and soften your skin. Apply in a circular motion, be sure to cover rough dry areas. Natural creamy shea body butter hydrates your body from fingertips to tippy toes. Soothes and smooths out overworked and dry skin. Hooray for Shea!

ONE Natural Body Butter in aluminum tin

ONE Natural Body Butter (very rich and creamy)
What I love about this product? Just like the packaging with their sugar scrub, ONE Natural Sugar Scrub, the aluminum tin container the product is housed in gives a nice luxurious touch for me. It has a screw on lid. Product has more of the greasy feel compared to their hand and body lotion version, but that is expected from a body butter or creme. The formula is rich and I can feel the slight grease, but it is quickly absorbed by my skin and it doesn’t feel heavy at all. I think that’s the main difference on the richness I felt from using this product compared to other body butters and cremes I’ve used from multiple brands over the years. My skin stayed very moisturized throughout the whole day. The smell is oh so good and heavenly. I LOVE coconuts. If you’re not a coconut fan, it might be worth checking out what other scents their body butters comes in. They have several other fragrances to choose from.
What I don’t like about this product? The thin film used to contain the body butter in the container and retain its freshness for use. I’m not sure what material it uses, but it’s very thin and it breaks open pretty easily. It was almost invisible really in the body butter I got. Little bits of it were on the product itself and I had to ensure I remove all those bits before using the body butter on myself.
It retails for $9.99 according to their website, but it is selling for a cheaper price in other places like Target.com and Walgreens.com. One products are also carried in Target and ULTA stores nationwide.
