Zoya PixieDust Swatches

Hey guys! Today’s post is on Zoya’s latest collection called PixieDust. I have been eagerly awaiting for these to try them out and I love them! Without further ado, here are the swatches and review.

EDIT: Summer PixieDust Swatches here.

First up is Dahlia.

Zoya Dahlia

The Black Dahlia, anyone? This shade certainly made me think of it because of the color and the name. It’s a very pretty and wearable black sprinkled with silver glitter bits. It is described as “a black beauty with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula”. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Next up is Chyna.

Zoya Chyna

This one actually made me think of this WWF wrestler named Chyna. I first came to know about her in one of those reality shows on VH1 years ago. Yeah, there was a time where I had nothing better to do after work than go home and watch whatever is on TV. This is actually my favorite shade in this entire collection. It’s much, much prettier in person. It’s a vibrant and bold red sprinkled with silver glitter bits that is taken over by the red pretty much. It is described as “a red dazzle with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula”. Shown is one thick coat with no top coat.

A surprising one that I like is called Godiva.

Zoya Godiva

Godiva makes me think of chocolates cause it’s one of my favorite chocolate brands. The shade suits it right as it’s a beautiful cream sprinkled with silver glitter bits. It is described as “a soft nude with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula”. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Next up is Vespa.

Zoya Vespa

The name Vespa makes me think of 2 things: 1) Vesper from the Bond movie Casino Royale and 2) the scooter. I will choose to ignore the second item and enjoy it as a name for a beautiful woman. Vespa is a mint green sprinkled with silver glitter bits. It is described as “a Mint Kiss with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula”. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Moving on, we have Nyx.

Zoya Nyx

Nyx is a unique name. I do think of the other cosmetic brand though because of the way it’s spelled. Nyx is a light bluish violet sprinkled with silver glitter bits. It is described as “a perfect periwinkle with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula”. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

Last up is a shade called London.

Zoya London

London is a dull grey sprinkled with silver glitter bits. I didn’t like this shade the most among all 6. It just didn’t wow me even a little bit. Others may find this shade is right up their alley though, so it just depends on personal preference. It is described as “a fog gray with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula”. Shown is 2 coats with no top coat.

They all dry with a matte finish that’s on the gritty side to the touch, much like sand. I didn’t try using a top coat over these because I actually liked the finish itself. They all dried pretty fast and the wear is impressive. A great collection overall. There is something for everybody with all 6 shades.

    • Chyna! It’s very glowy and jelly-ish with top coat on. You see that initially before it dries completely for the texture finish. It’s the only one among the 6 where the silver glitter doesn’t really show through but it’s gorgeous!
