Today’s Curtain Call segment focuses on Clean & Clear Oil-Free Daily Pore Cleanser. I believe I got this with my Extra Care Bucks (ECB) from CVS to get more ECB with this purchase.
At 5.5 oz / 156 g, this retails for $4.99 at CVS and is similarly priced at various retail and drugstores. It goes on sale for ECB deals from time to time and combined with coupons from your weekly Sunday paper or through tearpads in the store, this can essentially comes close to being free. The whole tube lasted me for about 3 months for daily usage in the morning and at night. To use, I just wet my face and squeeze a small amount on my palm to apply it on my face in a massaging motion. I wash it off and dry my face with a towel in a patting motion. The front text reads “gently cleans with smooth, round “micro-scrubbers””. The back of the tube states the following:
“This unique daily cleanser with gentle “micro-scrubbers” effectively removes excess dirt, oil and dead skin cells that can block pores and lead to breakouts. Completely oil-free, the rich lather cleans deep down-to-the-pored and rinses clean without overdrying, leaving your skin feeling soft, smooth and refreshed.”

Verdict? It’s easy to use and I am liking the “micro-scrubbers” in this! It leads to me to classify this more as a facial scrub than a cleanser though. The scrubbers are really fine and does a good job in leaving your face soft and smooth. I didn’t find it too harsh for my face or drying, but your experience may differ from mine based on skin type and basic differences in how our bodies respond to things. With that said, if your skin is on the sensitive side then this probably is not the ideal facial cleanser to use daily. But for me, this works well and onto my list of facial scrubs and cleansers it goes.
