Loyalty Franken
Hey y’all! Today I have a shade that I frankened recently. I was gifted 88 bottles to franken with and I started as soon as I got them in my hands. I wanted to create a holographic line with shades representing and named after my co-worker friends whose nails I regularly paint.
Along the way, some shades didn’t turn out the way I envisioned them to. The result? Another line of holographic shades! The first one from that series is called Loyalty.

Loyalty
Loyalty is a true blue holographic shade. I made this using a mixture of Color Club Worth The Risque? and Milani Bolting Blue. The holographic property in this shade is scattered. I would’ve used China Glaze OMG or GOSH Holographic to make this shade linear, but I don’t own either of them. Either way, I’m very satisfied with the outcome. Pictures simply can’t show what I see in person. This shade is pretty opaque. Shown is one coat with no top coat.

Loyalty (in shade)

Loyalty (different angle)

Loyalty (close-up)

Loyalty (direct sunlight again)

What do you guys think? It’s more holographic than what the picture shows for sure. I just can’t quite capture it in pictures unfortunately.

Thanks girl! It’s more holo in person. I wish holos show up better in pictures!

Wow, that is absolutely GORGEOUS!! Yea, holos are so hard to capture in photographs. That’s why I shot video for Glitter Gal’s 3D Holographic Purple… the photos just didn’t do it justice!

I might have to do one when I get back. I toyed with the idea, but I left before I decided finally to do it.

Great job! How fun to get 88 bottles as a gift to fraken from!

I know! I’ve already used about 18 of those! Haha!

OMG I love this!

I wish it was more blue though, but I’ll take it! If I want it more holo, it’s less blue. If I want it to be more blue, then it’s less holo! I wish I had China Glaze OMG or GOSH Holographic. Then it’d be more blue I think. Thank you!

Ooohh, aaahhh! I want to steal it from you while you are away!!!!!

Haha! My BF is the only one who passes by it every few days when he checks my mail for me. No interest over there, LOL!

Thanks girl! Now I’m inspired to post another ASAP!

Wow, I think you did a great job with this – and I love that it’s a deeper blue shade! I heard that if you use a linear holo in a franken, it breaks down into a scattered holo – not sure how true that is! I can see a total rainbow in the bottle shot!

Thanks for the tip about using a linear holo to franken with. I thought about that, but I never had a linear holo to use for franken to confirm. Le sigh.
